•

NXT UK Date: November 12, 2020 Location: BT Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness We’re coming up on the end of the Heritage Cup tournament and that means we are going to need some finalists. A-Kid advanced to the finals last week and this week we find out who his opponent will be. Other than that, we have the debut of Rampage Brown, who looks like he could be a big deal. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. The Hunt vs. Kenny Williams/Amir Jordan Eddie Dennis is here with the Hunt. Boar takes Williams into the corner and it’s Primate coming in off the top with a shot to the back. A headlock doesn’t do much to Primate but a dropkick sends him into the corner for the tag back to Boar. The Hunt is knocked outside by a springboard elbow and some dives have them down as well. Back in and Boar sends Williams flying towards the camera to take over. The Hunt pounds Williams down in the corner and Boar adds a headbutt for a bonus. The face pulling is on but W..

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks II Gets Surprising Result And Marks Milestone

•

That’s a good way to go out. There have been very few stories this year that have been on the same level as Bayley vs. Sasha Banks. The two have been involved together for well over a year now, which has included both teaming together and feuding against each other, with Banks ending Bayley’s record setting SmackDown Women’s Title reign. Now we know something about the feud and it comes with some good news. Back at Hell In A Cell, Banks defeated Bayley to win the SmackDown Women’s Title for the first time. The win ended Bayley’s reign at over a year, far exceeding any previous records. It was a big moment and took place inside the Cell to make it feel even more important. Banks became a star all over again and it was no surprise that a rematch took place. As it turns out, the rematch both succeeded and served as a final chapter. According to SportsKeeda.com, the Bayley vs. Banks rematch on the November 6 SmackDown drew over 2.5 million viewers, which is the highest number that WWE ha..

AEW Confirms Latest Signing In A Hurry

•

That’s one more on the roster. AEW is still a young promotion but they have come a long way in the time they have had. One of the most alluring things about them is giving younger wrestlers a chance to showcase themselves on the big stage. That is not something a wrestler is going to instantly be able to do under the WWE banner and now someone else is going to get a chance in AEW. The AEW women’s division has been one of the more interesting parts of the company’s growth. After a somewhat sluggish start, the division has found its footing and started to get a lot better in a hurry. The division has a variety of talent and several of them seem like they could become breakouts tars in a hurry. Now we know who the next potential star in the company might be. AEW has announced that Jade Cargill has officially been signed to the company. Cargill made her debut on this week’s edition of Dynamite, interrupting a Cody Rhodes segment. She said that she knew a giant and referenced Shaquille O’..

The Bella Twins In Talks For WWE Return

•

It would be a big return. The Women’s Revolution has done a lot of great things for the WWE women’s division and there is little reason to believe that things are going to be changing anytime soon. The women’s division has reached heights that no one would have believed just a few years ago but there were several women who set the stage for what was to come. Now we might be seeing some of them again. While they might not be the most universally loved stars, the Bella Twins were the biggest stars in the women’s division for a very long time. They made a name for themselves through quite a bit of work and were making some amazing strides in the ring, along with becoming reality show stars to bring WWE some major publicity. The Twins will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame whenever the ceremony can be held, but they might not be done wrestling just yet. In a new interview with US Weekly, Nikki Bella’s fiance Artem Chigvintsev said that the Bella Twins were in talks with WWE about ret..

Update On The Whereabouts Of A Surprise NXT Callup

•

Where did she go? NXT is a very unique wrestling promotion as it serves as a cross between something that stands on its own as well as the official developmental system for WWE. That makes for an interesting situation as success in NXT often means that someone is going to be ready to leave. It makes maintained success somewhat different, but now someone who was around is neither in NXT or on the main roster for some reason. This has been a rather up and down year for NXT, which has seen several wrestlers coming and going from the roster. Some of this was due to Paul Heyman being removed from his position as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw. As a result, you are going to see some names who were ready to be called up get stuck in limbo, and now that seems to be the case for another NXT star. According to Fightful Select, Santana Garrett was officially called up to the main roster earlier this year but has yet to actually appear. As a result, she has not been seen on either Monday..

NXT Ghostface Attacker’s Identity Revealed

•

That’s who you are. One of the most tried and true stories that you are going to see in wrestling is the masked person. The big idea is finding out who is underneath the mask, which can make for quite the mystery a lot of the time. That is something you can see in a variety of promotions and NXT is no exception, but now we know who has been underneath the mask. Back at Halloween Havoc, a masked person interfered in Damian Priest’s North American Title match against Johnny Gargano, costing Priest the title. Later in the show, the same masked person interfered in Candice LeRae’s Women’s Title shot against Io Shirai but failed to help her win the title. The mask was not pulled off that night, but now things have changed a bit. During this week’s NXT, the masked person was revealed to be Indi Hartwell, who has been a fan of both Gargano and LeRae for several weeks now. The reveal came after the masked woman saved LeRae from a post match brawl with Toni Storm and helped take Storm out. Ha..

Major Return Occurs on AEW Dynamite

•

He’s back! It’s always nice to see a talent return to a wrestling company, especially when they had to leave for circumstances that were out of their control. One of those returns took place on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Tonight, in the final segment of the show, PAC made his return to the company after being away for over 6 months. He was stuck in Europe when the COVID-19 pandemic began and was unable to return to the United States due to international travel restrictions. His return occurred after Penta El Zero Miedo defeated Rey Fenix in the main event of the show. After the match, Eddie Kingston was delivering a promo and said that Miedo didn’t need Fenix anymore. That was the cue for PAC’s music to hit and he immediately went after Kingston. Check out the return below: Editor’s Opinion: YES! This is awesome! I have been a huge fan of PAC for years and was bummed when he was unable to compete in AEW due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I think that he could have an awesome f..

AEW Championship Match Between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega Set

•

Let the battle begin. Earlier this month at AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view, Kenny Omega defeated “Hangman” Adam Page to win the World Championship Eliminator Tournament and become the new No. 1 contender to Jon Moxley and his title. Tonight on Dynamite, it was announced that Moxley and Omega will have their title match on the December 2 edition of the program. Check out what Omega had to say about his upcoming match: Editor’s Opinion: At this point, I think that it’s a forgone conclusion that Kenny Omega will be the next AEW World Champion. However, I think that this match provides an opportunity for Moxley to prove that he can actually be competitive in a wrestling match against one of the best athletes in the world, instead of doing nothing but hardcore, deathmatch style matches. I hope that the two can put on a great show and give the fans a match that they can talk about for a long time, but only time will tell. Are you looking forward to seeing Jon Moxley defend his title again..

AEW Teases Shaquille O’Neal vs. Cody Rhodes

•

There’s your celebrity involvement. Celebrities have been a part of wrestling for a very long now and that makes sense for a reason. Bringing someone from outside the wrestling world into the fold is something that is always going to get some interest and if they are a person who has an athletic background, things can get even better. That is the case again with AEW, who is talking about a big name. AEW is in a great place as they are getting to air their television show on TNT. That is a major cable network and something that has a lot of connections to some more mainstream sports. They also have some rather big names of their own on the network and one of them has been involved in wrestling before. That is going to be the case again, as he was brought up this week. During this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, a woman named Jade Cargill interrupted Cody Rhodes and said that he has talked about slaying giants. Cargill said that she represented a giant with one name, who she revealed a..

Major Update On Finn Balor’s NXT Return

•

It’s good to have him back. An injury is one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler. You never know when someone can be put onto the injured list but the bigger problem is wondering when they will be back on the active list. Some injuries are worse than others but now one of the bigger names on the injured list is going to be back sooner rather than later. As is the case with most wrestling companies, NXT is built around its stars and in particular, its main champion. For some reason though, the NXT Title has seemed to be a little bit cursed as of late, with Karrion Kross being injured during his title win and having to vacate the title. Then new champion Finn Balor was injured as well, putting him on the shelf for several weeks. He would be back at some point though and now we know when that will be. NXT Champion Finn Balor suffered a broken jaw during his title defense against Kyle O’Reilly at Takeover: 31, putting him on the shelf for several weeks. Balor has not been..

Huge Upset Title Change Takes Place On NXT

•

Well that was a surprise. Titles are the things that make wrestling shows go around and that has been the case for a very long time now. They are symbols of success and greatness, with a champion instantly being seen as a bigger deal than a regular member of the roster. That is the case in NXT as well, and now we have a rather surprising title change that you probably did not see coming. There are very few bigger and more successful names in the history of NXT than Johnny Gargano. He has been a star for a very long time now and has won everything there is to win in NXT. At the same time though, he has a bad history when it comes to successfully defending his singles titles. It has been seen as a curse for him, and it turns out that there is something to the idea. This week on NXT, Gargano lost the North American Title to Leon Ruff in his first defense. Ruff was granted a title shot after Gargano spun a rigged wheel with the names of challengers included. Former champion Damian Priest..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 11, 2020

•

Dynamite Date: November 11, 2020 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross It’s the show after Full Gear and that means we have a long time to go before Revolution at the end of February. There is a lot of ground to cover on the way to that show and that means they have the time to set up more than a few things. I’m not sure what that is going to include and that is a nice feeling to have. Let’s get to it. Happy Veterans Day. Opening sequence. Here’s Team Taz for a chat before Brian Cage’s match. Taz talks about how Cage is going to wrestle but before that he can see Darby Allin sitting up in the rafters. The last time they saw him, he was splattered on the roof of his own car at Full Gear. If Allin comes near the ring, he is getting taken out again. While he is sitting up there, send a message to his friend Cody, who can get taken out too. Cage is about to wrestle someone who is respected around the world in Matt Sydal. See, S..

Nice to meet you. While it might not be as popular as it was before, WWE is still the biggest and strongest wrestling promotion in the world. New WWE Tag Team Seems To Already Be Done

•

So much for that. Back in February 2019, WWE brought back the Women’s Tag Team Titles after a nearly thirty year absence. The move changed the way the women’s division worked and that was a very good thing. Suddenly there were several new doors opened up for the wrestlers and while they took some time to get going, the titles have finally started to get somewhere with several new teams. However, one newly formed team seems to already be done. Just before the WWE Draft back in October, the IIconics were split up due to losing a match to the Riott Squad on Monday Night Raw. This was a bit of a surprise as the team had been one of the more successful in WWE but now it was time for them to be pushed on their own. That made it all the more confusing when Peyton Royce was put into a new team with Lacey Evans. Well hang on a second. During this week’s edition of the Bump, the show’s Twitter account sent out a question, asking for a name for the Royce/Evans team. However, Royce responded to ..

Undertaker Set For Rare, Special Appearance Next Week

•

Make sure he has a good seat. One of the bigger surprises this year has been the Undertaker officially announcing his retirement. That is something that seemed to be imminent for years but now it has finally taken place. Undertaker has been around WWE for thirty years now and that means he probably has a lot to say. Now we are going to get to hear some more of it. Later this month, WWE will be celebrating Undertaker’s thirty year anniversary in the company at Survivor Series, thirty years to the day after he made his debut. That is the kind of career that almost no one can match and is the culmination of several months of tributes from the company to one of its most famous stars. Now we have one more tribute announced. WWE has announced that the Undertaker will be a guest on next week’s edition of the Bump for an interview. This will be taking place four days before his farewell at Survivor Series. The interview will be Undertaker’s first appearance on the show and one of the only ou..

KB’s Review: The Ghost Of Montreal

•

Twenty three years ago this week, the Montreal Screwjob took place at Survivor Series 1997. I’m not going to bother going into a big recap of the incident because it’s the most infamous night in the history of professional wrestling. There have been books, documentaries, podcasts and everything else you can imagine written/said/everything else about the whole thing. Everyone has talked about this at some point but today we are going to look at something that isn’t discussed enough. The Montreal Screwjob was a perfect storm of everything going wrong all at once. Between Bret Hart, Vince McMahon, WCW and everything else going on at the same time, there are only so many ways that this could have gone. The tensions were very high and after Hart had spent months talking about how he was getting screwed and everyone was against him, something huge taking place almost made perfect sense. It would have been easy to assume that it was just a storyline, though later on the details would come ou..
