BREAKING VIDEO: Sting Makes AEW Debut

Well there’s your surprise. AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works in a good way. The company has opened a new stage of all kinds of wrestlers and that is a positive change for everyone involved. It gives wrestlers young and old another high level place to go and it could be very interesting to see where some of those changes are going. That was the case again this week. There are certain people in wrestling who are absolute legends. Just by looking at them, you know who they are and almost everything about them because they have earned their reputation. That is the case with several wrestlers who do not actually get in the ring anymore, but still pop up every now and then for a special cameo. AEW offered that again with a legendary name. This was an amazing moment. Check out who made a surprise appearance: https://media.wrestlingrumors.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/02212110/Sting.mp4 Sting made his AEW debut this week on Dynamite, saving the Nightmare Family from Team T..

Anyway it’s a huge show with a mega main event of Kenny Omega challenging Jon Moxley for the World Title. New NXT Class Headlined By Former Impact Wrestling Stars

Meet the new class. NXT is a rather unique wrestling promotion as not only do they exist as their own wrestling show but they are also the official developmental promotion for WWE. That means the ultimate goal of an NXT wrestler is to make the main roster, meaning that the NXT roster is rapidly changing. That is the case again, as some new names are being brought in. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers in the world outside of WWE and AEW. Those names might not get the same kind of attention that the mainstream wrestling names get, but they are good enough to make it in a major promotion. That means that WWE is going to bring in some of those wrestlers from time to time and that is what they are doing again, with three names headlining the class. WWE has announced their new NXT Performance Center training class, featuring three prominent names. First up are Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz, who comprised two thirds of the Rascalz in Impact Wrestling. Their third teammate, Trey M..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – November 25, 2020

Ring of Honor Date: November 25, 2020 Location: UMBC Events Center, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman Believe it or not we are well on the way to Final Battle and I’m not sure how many matches have actually been set up for the show. Actually I’m not even sure how many matches have been teased for the show, which makes for a fairly important next few weeks. Hopefully they can get off to a good start here. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Quinn McKay welcomes us to the show and runs down the card. Jay Briscoe wants the Tag Team Titles back but first he has to deal with EC3. EC3 talks about how much he envies Jay Briscoe for sticking around here while he chased the bright lights. Now he wants to know if Briscoe believes in the code of honor and if he can control his narrative. EC3 vs. Jay Briscoe EC3 backs him into the corner to start and Jay isn’t interested in a handshake. Briscoe grabs a front facelock so EC3 slips out and hits an elbow. Hold on t..

Ring Of Honor Announces Final Battle Main Event

Something has to headline. The Coronavirus pandemic has wiped out a lot of the wrestling that was scheduled to take place this year. There are only so many ways to have wrestling going when you cannot have crowds or anything close to them, which caused several wrestling promotions to shift towards Best Of shows or have nothing at all. Some of them are back though, and one of them is getting ready for their biggest show of the year. Ring Of Honor was one of the higher profile promotions to go on hiatus for a good chunk of the year. That was quite the problem for the company as they have only been back for a few months now, leaving them without much time to get ready for Final Battle, their biggest show of the year. The event is scheduled to take place on December 18 and now we have a main event for the card. Ring Of Honor has announced that the main event of Final Battle 2020 will see Brody King challenging Rush for the World Title. This will be the first title defense for Rush, who w..

KB’s Review: The Lana Problem

We are less than a month away from Tables, Ladders And Chairs and that means we are going to be seeing a lot of different gimmick matches taking place on the same show. Ignoring how kind of insane it is to run at least four special matches like that on one card, there is one match in particular that has yet to be announced just yet but you can all but guarantee it being set up in one form or another. We are going to be looking at that one match today, along with the big problem that comes along with it. Over the last few months, Nia Jax has shown her continuing ability to be quite the bully around Monday Night Raw. This time around, her targets have been set on Lana, who Jax put through a table nine straight times. That’s quite the level of overkill and it was almost a relief to see Lana not go through a table for a tenth time. It was time for a change, but the new direction isn’t quite the big upgrade. Lana has been fighting back, or at least she has been having Asuka do the fightin..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – November 25, 2020

Fusion #111 Date: November 18, 2020 Location: Gilt Nightclub, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Jared Saint Laurent, Rich Bocchini I’m not sure what to make of things around here. Last week’s show wasn’t the worst but it also didn’t exactly live up to the expectations that had been built up during the hiatus. It’s time to start the Opera Cup again and while it’s a nice idea, it’s not like the first one was a blow away idea. Let’s get to it. We open with a quick preview of tonight’s first round Opera Cup matches. Opening sequence. We look at the end of last week’s show with a new member of Contra attacking Alex Hammerstone. Earlier today, Richard Holliday didn’t think much of Contra and promises that Hammerstone will be fine. He runs into Gino Medina, who claims he quit the Dynasty while Holliday insisted he was fired. Medina implies violence by the end of the night. Opera Cup First Round: TJP vs. Richard Holliday Holliday has the Caribbean Title held up but makes it clear that this ..

WWE Considering Interesting Pay Per View Title Match

Shine them up. While there are a lot of them in WWE today, titles are still what drives a good portion of the stories in wrestling. In theory, winning championships are why wrestlers compete in the first place and that makes them as important as anything else. Some people would do a lot of things to get a title, and now we might know where one such title is heading. One of the more discussed stories on Monday Night Raw over the last few weeks has been that of Nia Jax bullying Lana. Jax has put Lana through the announcers’ table nine times in a row and Lana has only recently started to fight back. The endgame of the story seems to be Lana getting her revenge, and now she might have some help in doing just that, while possibly picking up some gold along the way. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this week’s Monday Night Raw match with Asuka and Lana defeating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler in a non-title match could set up a Women’s Tag Team Title match at Tables, Ladders And Chairs. ..

Former WWE Star Comes Out Of Retirement To Join Impact Wrestling

Already? Wrestling retirements are a funny thing as they have a tendency to not stick. Terry Funk’s first retirement match took place in 1983 and his most recent match took place in 2017, with Funk working around the wrestling world since then. It is very rare to see someone actually stay retired in wrestling and this time around, someone did not wait long before changing their mind. Bringing a wrestler out of retirement is not the world thing that can be done, as it can be fascinating to see if someone still has it after their time away from the ring. This is a tricky balance to find though, as someone being gone for a long time can make them a shell of their former self, but if someone has not been gone very long in the first place, the comeback does not matter all that much. There is another comeback taking place, and the name may surprise you. During this week’s Impact Wrestling, former WWE, ECW and NWA star Jazz was unveiled as Jordynne Grace’s tag team partner in the Impact Wre..

WATCH: Undertaker Surprises Unsuspecting Fans

You would be surprised too. This past weekend, WWE said goodbye to Undertaker after a thirty year in-ring career. That is the kind of thing that you don’t expect to see but it finally had to happen. Undertaker has been a bit past his prime for a good many years now but there is still something to be said about that gong going off. At the same time though, there is something else Undertaker can do and now we are getting to see just that. One of the more interesting things to see over the last several months has been the other side of the Undertaker. Instead of being the character, it has been a lot more Mark Calaway in recent months, as he has given several interviews and shown the man behind the character. It takes some getting used to and now we are seeing a slightly funnier side of him as well. Well that’s just awesome. Check out what Undertaker is up to: WWE and Omaze are taking part in a contest with the grand prize of a tour of the Performance Center with Undertaker. At the sa..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – November 18, 2020

Ring of Honor Date: November 18, 2020 Location: UMBC Events Center, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman Things are starting to get back to normal here and that is the kind of thing that could be a good or bad situation. The stories are starting to slip back into place though and now we get to find out what the creative department has put together in the last few months. I’m as scared as you are. Let’s get to it. Amy Rose narrates a video about La Faccion Ingobernable, who is back soon. Opening sequence. Quinn McKay welcomes us to the show and throws it to the end of Brody King beating Dalton Castle last week. King says a fire of violence has been lit inside him. His comments were about ten seconds after two minutes of the match. The Briscoes and the Soldiers of Savagery talk trash to each other and are ready to fight. Soldiers of Savagery vs. Briscoes EC3 is on commentary. The Briscoes have new music and someone managed to count that they are 199-80 ..

VIDEO: New Weekly Wrestling Series Announced

NWA time. Wrestling fans are rather spoiled today when it comes to available content. There is so much wrestling available that it is impossible to see everything that is being aired and that is a nice problem to have. With so many things running around, you have to pick and choose what you want to see and that is going to get a little more complicated next week. One of the biggest wrestling surprises of 2019 was the resurgence of the NWA. As NWA World Champion Nick Aldis said, the company went from a punchline to a powerhouse, nearly entirely based on the strength of the NWA Powerrr show. The weekly series was only around for a few months but it changed the way people looked at the company. The show has been gone for several months, but now we are going to be seeing a spiritual successor. It’s kind of a big deal. Check out the NWA’s surprise: The NWA has announced a new series called Shockwave debuting on Tuesday December 1 at 6pm EST. The show will be produced in conjunction with..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 17, 2020

Impact Wrestling Date: November 22, 2020 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: Madison Rayne, Josh Matthews We’re done with Turning Point and now things are starting to get a little more interesting. There were two title changes on the show as the Good Brothers and Deonna Purrazzo won the Tag Team and Knockouts Titles (you can figure out which did which). Other than that, the hunt is still on for John E. Bravo’s shooter. Let’s get to it. The opening video looks at Turning Point. Opening sequence. Moose vs. Willie Mack Non-title, No DQ and a rematch from Turning Point where Moose won but had the decision overturned for attacking after the bell. They charge at each other to start with Mack hammering away and hitting a dropkick into the corner. There’s the Cannonball to send Moose outside but he tosses Mack over the barricade. Moose whips him into the barricade for a bonus and says this is for Rich Swann. Back in and Moose misses a dropkick but nips right back u..

WWE Indefinitely Suspends Monday Night Raw Star

See you in a bit. We are finally done with Survivor Series and that means it is time to move forward towards some other things down the road. WWE is starting the build towards the Royal Rumble and ultimately the Road to WrestleMania, meaning we are about to reach the most important part of WWE’s calendar. However, one of the bigger stars in WWE will not be around for a bit. This week’s Monday Night Raw served as a fallout show from Survivor Series as things started to get a bit more back to normal. There were no more qualifying matches for Survivor Series and it was time for Monday Night Raw to celebrate their great victory. The members of the men’s Monday Night Raw team was rather pleased, but that won’t be the case for one member soon after the show. WWE has announced that Braun Strowman has been indefinitely suspended for attacking WWE official Adam Pearce on this week’s Monday Night Raw. During the show, Strowman attacked Pearce for saying that Strowman was “last but not least”. ..

REVIEW: Vengeance 2006: You Might Not Remember This One

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Vengeance 2006 Date: June 25, 2006 Location: Charlotte Bobcats Arena, Charlotte, North Carolina Attendance: 6,800 Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler It’s time for another Raw pay per view but this time around we have ECW invading as WWE continues to try to turn it into something again. This time around that means Edge challenging ECW/WWE Champion Rob Van Dam and John Cena vs. Sabu in an EXTREME Lumberjack match. I’m not sure how EXTREME you can make a lumberjack match but maybe Cena can make it work. Let’s get to i..

Charlotte’s WWE Return May Be Delayed By Outside Projects

A slight delay. There are stars in WWE and then there are THE stars in WWE. The company’s biggest names are the people that you know by sight or even by nickname and those are the people that WWE is going to push the hardest. Those wrestlers have star power that can’t be manufactured but one of those big names is not going to be around for a little longer than expected. Back in June, Charlotte took a hiatus from WWE, which really did shake things up a bit. The timing did not help things as Charlotte’s departure came only about a month after Becky Lynch went on maternity leave, meaning that the two biggest stars of the women’s division were both gone within a few weeks of each other. Neither are back yet and it might be a bit longer before we Charlotte again. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there is no word on when Charlotte will be back. While Charlotte initially left to have a cosmetic procedure, she is also missing time due to work outside of WWE. Charlotte has signed with t..

VIDEO: Former WWE Star Returns To Ring Of Honor

Welcome home. There are a lot of wrestling promotions in the world other than WWE, even though it has a tendency to get a lot of the attention. That does not mean that there are not very talented wrestlers there doing some very interesting things and that is certainly the case with Ring Of Honor, which has picked up another star who could be quite the asset to them going forward. Back in April, WWE released several dozen wrestlers at the same time. That is the kind of thing that can shake up the wrestling world in a heartbeat and that is exactly what happened, as a lot of those wrestlers were able to find work elsewhere. Some of these wrestlers went back to promotions where they had worked before, and that is the case with one in particular. Glad to see you again. Check out a nice return: https://media.wrestlingrumors.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/24044604/Mike-Bennett.mp4 Ring Of Honor has posted a clip from their most recent television show, which featured the return of Mike Benn..

Former Impact Wrestling Star Returning To The Company After Nine Years

Welcome back? The Women’s Revolution has changed the way the wrestling world works and those changes are not going to be reversed anytime soon. That is a very good thing, as the changes that have been made have been a very good thing for everyone involved. Women’s wrestling has come a long way but a lot of those things were set up many years before then. Now, one of those earlier names might be coming back. While it might not be what it once was, Impact Wrestling is still around today and still doing rather well at what they do. They run national television every Tuesday night and have been doing so for some time now. The company has a history, and the Knockouts division has long since been an important part of that history. A member of that division might be making a return to the ring. According to PWInsider.com, former Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde is scheduled to return to the company after a nine year absence. There is no word on when she will be making her return. Wilde wrest..

Update On WWE Releasing Zelina Vega, Top Union Possibly Getting Involved

That could mean something. One of the more interesting topics in recent weeks in WWE has been the company taking control of its wrestlers’ Twitch accounts. WWE has instituted a new policy saying that they will own the accounts, which the wrestlers will still use and receive most of the money that previously went to the wrestlers. This has not gone well and now we could be in for a very big next step. On Friday, a major development in the situation took place as Zelina Vega was released from the company. Vega has been one of the most prominent voices against the policy and after learning that she was going to be released, sent out a tweet saying that she supports unionization. Forming a union has long been seen as a possible solution for the wrestlers, and now they might have someone new on their side. After Vega was released, the President of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), Gabrielle Carteris, responded to Vega’s tweet, telling V..

Former Evolve Wrestling Star Already Getting Title Shot In WWE

He’s off to a hot start. The WWE Network has changed the way the wrestling world works in a very positive way. With so much content out there, the Network allows wrestling fans to see all kinds of content in a very short amount of time. One of the surprise features has been the addition of other promotions outside of WWE appearing on the service, allowing fans to see what else is out there. A wrestler who got his exposure in another company has since come to WWE and is already doing rather well. In July 2019, the WWE Network featured a special event from Evolve Wrestling as the company celebrated its tenth anniversary. There were several talented wrestlers on the show that night and now that Evolve has gone out of business, a lot of them have made their way to WWE. One of those wrestlers has hit the ground running and is now in line for a title shot. This week on 205 Live, former Evolve star Curt Stallion won a fatal five way match to become the #1 contender to the Cruiserweight Titl..
