Some Top Names Not Backstage At This Week’s WWE Monday Night Raw

Call it time off? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and a handful of them are at the top of the card. While they are the bigger names on the show, sometimes you need to shake things up a bit by letting them have some time off. This might be the case for multiple reasons, but this time it seems that more than one name has been missing some recent time. According to PWInsider.com, AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross were not backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw. Styles has been out of action with a non-injury medical issue and it is not clear when he will be back. Lashley is currently out of action following his match with Goldberg at Crown Jewel but he has been mentioned on Monday Night Raw. Kross has been rumored to return with a new look and character, but he has not wrestled since a live event on October 10. They’re all good enough to wait on. Check out the three of them in action: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video..

WATCH: Former WWE US Champion Makes AEW Debut

Welcome to your new home. There have been several roster changes for WWE over the last year and a half, with several long time wrestlers moving on from the company. That can make for some interesting moments for other rosters, as you do not know where some of these wrestlers are going to wind up. It can be quite the moment when you see them show up elsewhere, and now another former WWE star has made a big appearance. Samuray del Sol, formerly known as Kalisto in WWE, made his AEW debut during this week’s addition of Dynamite. Del Sol teamed with Aerostar to challenge FTR for the AAA Tag Team Titles in a losing effort. Del Sol was released from WWE on April 15 of this year and has not wrestled since competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 1. There is no word on if he will be appearing again in AEW. Del Sol is someone who could be a star anywhere. Two More Matches Set For AEW Full Gear With A Surprise Each

The show is growing. We are well on the way to AEW Full Gear and that means the card is almost entirely put together. The key to that however is almost, as there is still some time to set things up before we get to the pay per view. AEW has all kinds of wrestlers available and now we have two more matches finally set, as there were some details officially confirmed this week. Two more Full Gear matches were officially confirmed this week on Dynamite. These matches had both been announced in advance, but more details had to be set. First up, the Inner Circle selected the three members of American Top Team to join the Men of the Year in a street fight. The Inner Circle chose Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski and Dan Lambert to take part in the match. Later, in the show’s main event, Miro defeated Orange Cassidy to earn a spot in the World Title Eliminator Tournament, where he will face Bryan Danielson. Following the match, Danielson came to the ring and offered Miro a handshake but Mi..

WWE Lets Several More Names Go From The Company

So long? WWE is a huge wrestling company and have all kinds of people on their roster. While you are going to know all kinds of stars from the television show, there are several more people who wrestle behind the scenes and will almost never get the recognition that they deserve. Now though, it seems that even more of them are going to be gone, which has been the case quite often recently. Multiple WWE backstage employees have left the company in recent days. According to PWInsider.com, Stan Stanski, the Senior Vice President of Creative Services, has left WWE after almost fifteen years in the company. His departure has led several people to believe that almost no one is safe. In addition, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE made several office cuts this week, with the total being in the single digits. It is not clear if Stanski is in this group or if more releases are coming. Fightful has confirmed that WWE had several office cuts this week. We're told in the single di..

KB’s Review: Give Them Two Stars

I think it’s safe to say that AEW has been a success so far. You can argue about their audience/demo (or please don’t) but it is clear that they have made an impact and shaken things up. That is something that is not exactly easy to do but AEW has not only hit the ground running but picked up all kinds of momentum, especially in the last few months. A lot of that is due to the last few months and we are going to be looking at two of the bigger moves today. Back on August 20, CM Punk made his AEW debut in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on the second episode of Rampage. This very well may have been the greatest moment that the company has had to date, as Punk received the hero’s welcome to end them all, driving him to near tears (or maybe all the way there) in response. Throw in the “have a free ice cream bar on me” to make it even better and this could not have gone much better. Fast forward to All Out on September 5, when Bryan Danielson appeared as the big surprise to end the sho..

VIDEO: There’s A New Tag Team With A Very Unique Name

Hook em up. Tag team wrestling has a weird history in WWE, as it has had some bright spots but has often been little more than filler on a lot of shows. Even in the worse times though, tag wrestling has always had something of a place in WWE, with several teams standing out in history. Now there is another team in the company and this one even has a name. Ikemen Jiro and Kushida have formed a tag team in NXT and in a new video, they have announced their team name as Jacket Time. The name comes from a combination of the jacket that Jiro wears in in the ring and Kushida’s previous team, the Time Splitters. The team has yet to wrestle a match together, but have been shown in various backstage segments together. It’s a unique name. Check out the announcement, plus both of them in action: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: It’s certainly something different, though I’m not sure how f..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – November 3, 2021

Dynamite Date: November 3, 2021 Location: Cable Dahmer Arena, Independence, Missouri Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We are less than three weeks away from Full Gear and things have been shaken up a bit. Jon Moxley, who was in the semifinals of the #1 contenders tournament, has decided to go to rehab for alcohol issues, which leaves a big hole in the brackets. We should get a replacement tonight though and that could be interesting. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Kenny Omega vs. Alan Angels Non-title and commentary brings up Moxley’s issues during Omega’s entrance. Angels goes right after him to start but Omega knocks him back, including some chops. A few shots knock Omega into the corner but he’s back with the Kitaro Crusher. Omega hits a running face shots to take Angels down (think a bulldog but from the front) and the brainbuster onto the knee knocks Angels silly. The V Trigger misses though and Angels grabs a rollup for two. There’s a suicide dive to send..

Another Top NXT Star’s Contract Expiring Next Month

Another one out the door? The WWE landscape has changed in all kinds of ways over the last few years, including several wrestlers leaving. A lot of these names have been part of NXT, which has been completely overhauled as well. There are not that many wrestlers left from NXT’s glory days, and now it seems that another one might be on their way out of the company as well. According to PWInsider.com, Kyle O’Reilly’s WWE contract is set to expire in December and WWE is currently discussing his future in the company. Internally, O’Reilly is said to be the #2 babyface in NXT behind NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. Since the NXT 2.0 relaunch, O’Reilly has been teaming with Von Wagner. There is no word on what O’Reilly will do, though there is a chance that he could re-sign with WWE. O’Reilly has done some very good things in NXT. Update On The Bella Twins Potentially Wrestling Again In WWE

Never again? There have been so many wrestlers to step foot in a WWE ring over the years that it is realistically impossible to keep track of all of them. It is rare to see someone really stand out above the rest, but there certainly have been some over the years. A handful of them are enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame, but now we know that some of those legends are unlikely to return to the ring. During the latest edition of their Bellas Podcast, the Bella Twins revealed that they have no plans to return to the ring. While they would like to wrestle again, Nikki is officially retired due to her injuries. There is a chance that it could happen in the future, but it is not something that will be happening anytime soon. The Bellas last wrestled as a team on the October 8, 2018 Monday Night Raw. The team was pretty great. Check out their time in WWE: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opini..

WRESTLING RUMORS: NXT Star Out Of Action With Injury

That’s never good to see. As great as wrestlers can be at their job, there is always the chance that something could go wrong and they could wind up on the injured list. An injury could come all at once or be built up over time with general wear and tear. Either way, it means that someone is going to be on the shelf and that is the case with a current NXT wrestler. This week’s NXT saw Toxic Attraction attacking Zoey Stark backstage and leaving her laying in the locker room. According to Post Wrestling, Stark is legitimately injured and the attack was a way to write her off of television. There is no word on when Stark was injured or how long she will be out of action. Stark’s most recent match came on the October 26 edition of NXT. Stark is quite good when she is healthy. Check out what she can do in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Stark is one of those people who c..

205 Live Results – October 29, 2021

205 Live Date: October 29, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for more of the NXT B show and that sounds good enough to me. I’m still wondering if they are going to change the name though, as we are now in a rare case where every single thing about the show’s title is completely inaccurate. It takes something special to pull that off and a new name would make sense. Let’s get to it. Boa vs. Jeet Rama Mei Ying is here with Boa. Feeling out process to start until Rama takes him down to the mat with a headlock takeover. Back up and some armdrags have Boa in more trouble and even out on the floor for a breather. Boa gets back in and hits a few shots to the face in the corner, setting up the chinlock. A neckbreaker gets two on Rama, followed by a shot to the throat for the same. It’s off to a figure four necklock but Rama fights up and hits some rolling gutwrench suplexes. Boa escapes a powerslam though and grabs ..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – October 27, 2021

Ring of Honor Date: October 27, 2021 Location: 2300 Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman Well now everything has changed. Ring of Honor’s future suddenly looks WAY different and that is not the best news. I’m not sure what is going to happen with the company but it is clear that things are going to be wrapping up. Hopefully the final few shows are good, but this is very uncharted territory. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Vincent is checking himself in the mirror and has the rest of the Righteous say that “he” is going to love it. Quinn McKay runs down the card, which is all based on Violence vs. Pure. Rhett Titus vs. Tony Deppen Both of them talk about how they want to show that their style is better. They go with the technical stuff on the mat as Deppen wants to show he can do this too. Titus grabs a test of strength and powers him to the mat without much effort but Deppen reverses into a leglock. That’s broken up and we take an early..

There May Be Several New Free Agents On The Wrestling Market

See you down the road? The wrestling world has been all over the place in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that it is going to change anytime soon. That could make for some very interesting landscapes in the future, especially for the wrestlers who are going all over the place. It seems that might be the case for more wrestlers, but it might not be what it seems. According to PWInsider.com, five names have been removed from the Impact Wrestling roster page. The following names are no longer appearing on the page: Tommy Dreamer TJP Petey Williams No Way Taylor Wilde Dreamer is currently absent from television over his comments on a recent edition of Dark Side Of The Ring, while Williams is going through a tryout to be a WWE producer. However, Impact Wrestling has responded, saying that these wrestlers have not been released. It is not clear if they will continue to appear with the company going forward or not. You might not be seeing them again. Check out some of the nam..

PHOTO: Former WWE Star Dramatically Changes Look

It’s an important factor. There are certain things that go into being a star in wrestling and one of the most important is having the right look. If a wrestler doesn’t catch the fans’ attention, it isn’t likely they are going to get much of a chance. At some point you have to do something to make fans care and the right look can go a long way. Now a former WWE star has changed his look in a big way. Former WWE star Killian Dain has revealed a completely different look, now with a shaved head and heavily trimmed beard. Dain was released from WWE on June 25 and has since begun wrestling on the independent circuit, including in the United Kingdom. He wrestled for WWE and NXT from 2016 until 2021, including a stint on SmackDown as part of the Sanity stable. More Details On AEW’s New Year Special, Including Original Plans

It’s in the details. There are a lot of wrestling shows every single week, with WWE and AEW alone running five weekly television series. Throw in their online shows and it is almost impossible to watch all of the wrestling available in a given week. Wrestling fans have all kinds of options and they will be getting a bonus early next year. Now we know a bit more about it. Earlier this week, a rumor came out that AEW would be presenting a special show on Saturday January 8. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the show will only run an hour in length, which goes against the original plans for pay per view length cards with high level matches. There is still a chance that this could change in the future though. This will be one of four quarterly specials, as modeled on WCW/NWA Clash of the Champions. AEW has not yet announced the special. Champions are an important part of AEW. Check out how some of them have gone so far: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contain..

AEW Star Opens Up About Current Mental Health Issues

Talking about it can help. Wrestlers are an interesting group of people as their job is to play larger than life characters on television but they have to find a way to turn that off once the show is over. That is a lot easier said than done, but somehow they have to find a way to make it work. Sometimes certain things from outside wrestling can cause some issues in front of the camera and that seems to be the case again. AEW star the Blade has posted a statement to Instagram, revealing that he has been dealing with issues of anxiety, depression and confidence. Blade mentions that he has had these issues all of his life but only realized it during the Coronavirus pandemic when they spiked. He has since tried to manage them on his own but recently suffered another spike. As a result he has talked to AEW management and is thankful for all of the responses that he has received from everyone. Blade has not wrestled since the October 11 edition of AEW Dark and it is not clear when he will ..

Interesting Hint About Brock Lesnar’s Next Opponent

That could be what’s next. There are certain wrestlers who catch your attention no matter what they are doing for one reason or another. It might be their mere presence, their ability to speak or what they can do in the ring. Sometimes it is a mixture of more than one, which is the case with some current WWE stars. We might know what one of them is going to be doing next. Last week’s SmackDown featured Drew McIntyre defeating Mustafa Ali with a Kimura lock, which has traditionally been used by Brock Lesnar. According to F4WOnline.com, there was significance to this, suggesting that McIntyre will be Lesnar’s next opponent. Lesnar is currently serving a storyline suspension from WWE and is expected to be back in action at the Royal Rumble. McIntyre defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 to win the WWE Title. This could be interesting. Check out the two of them in action alone and together: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post c..

Jon Moxley Entering Inpatient Alcohol Treatment Program

I hope that he gets better really soon. According to a series of tweets from AEW President and CEO Tony Khan, Jon Moxley will be taking some time away from professional wrestling and entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Khan tweeted out the following in regards to Moxley: Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery. Jon is making a very brave choice to get help, and we’re embracing his choice and supporting him however we can. I’m proud to call Jon a friend, and like many of you, I’m also a fan of Mox and look forward to a time in the future when he is eventually ready to return to the ring. Until then, thank you for supporting Jon and respecting his privacy at this time. If you or a loved one need help, please reach out to SAMHSA’s National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP ..

Details On What Led To Bray Wyatt’s WWE Release

He had some reasons. There have been a lot of wrestlers released from WWE over the last year and a half with several of them being less than surprising. With so many names on the WWE roster, it made sense to see some of them go. At the same time though, there were releases who did come as quite the surprise. Now we know a bit more about one of the biggest names on the surprise list. Fightful Select has more on the release of Bray Wyatt, who was let go from the company on July 31. Wyatt last wrestled at WrestleMania 37 against Randy Orton and neither were said to be happy with the creative direction of their feud, which did not have a clear ending. As a result, Wyatt complained about the story’s creative direction, which may have caused Vince McMahon to dislike him. It is also believed that Wyatt was not Wyatt was not released due to budget cuts, as his merchandise sales and popularity were too high. As a result, several long time stars do not believe their jobs are safe going forward...

NXT Results – November 2, 2021

NXT Date: November 2, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix, Wade Barrett We’re done with Halloween Havoc and that means it is time to get ready for…well I have no idea actually as I’m not sure what they’re going to do as far as Takeover goes. There were a bunch of title changes last week and now it is time to see where things go from here. Let’s get to it. Here is Mandy Rose to open things up and Barrett is VERY happy to see her as the new Women’s Champion. She is very proud of her win because she is the best looking champion in the title’s history and she is still the baddest b**** around. Last week was a great night for Toxic Attraction and we see all of them holding up their new titles last week (Mandy: “D*** I’m hot.”). Her girls aren’t here, so we cut to the back where the rest of Toxic Attraction is beating up Zoey Stark. Mandy is proud of them but wants some competition. Cue Io Shirai to say she’ll fight right now, b..
