WWE Edits Out Controversial Lines From This Week’s Monday Night Raw

•

Fix it in post. There are a lot of things to criticize about WWE and one of their bigger issues seems to be promos. Wrestlers are often given scripted promos where they are unable to say things the way they want. You will see some people getting creative freedom, but either way, you will hear some strange things sneak through. That was the case this week, but now it has been cleaned up. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw included a contract signing between Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. During the segment, Morgan talked about how Lynch’s contract was the reason her friends were no longer in WWE. The line has been removed from WWE’s YouTube version of the promo. There is nothing to suggest that there is any backstage heat on Morgan for the promo. It was a heck of a speech. Check out the original version, the edited version and the missing wrestlers: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video..

WATCH: AEW Busts Out Flaming Table In Hot Ending To Dynamite

•

That’s a hot one for AEW. There are certain spots in wrestling that you do not see very often, which means they are going to have an even bigger impact. You can’t bust them out very often as it would take away their special feeling, but when they are there, they work in a big way. That was supposed to be the case again this week, but things did not exactly turn out as planned. The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Cody Rhodes face Andrade El Idolo in an Atlanta street fight. Near the end of the match, the two of them were on the top rope when Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes made a surprise return and lit a table on fire. Cody superplexed El Idolo through the table and pinned him, with Cody’s arm on fire during the cover. It was a heck of a crash. VIDEO: Surprise Return Takes Place During AEW Dynamite

•

Welcome back. There are a lot of people on the AEW roster and it can be fascinating to see what some of them do. Some of them do not get to make that many appearances, which can make for a rather cool moment when someone comes back. If that comes after an even longer absence than usual, it can be even better. One such return took place this week. This week’s AEW Dynamite featured the surprise return of Brandi Rhodes, who has been missing for several months due to maternity leave. Rhodes returned during the show’s main event between Cody Rhodes and Andrade El Idolo, lighting a table on fire so Cody could superplex El Idolo through it. There is no word on if Brandi will be wrestling again in the future. It’s been awhile. AEW Dynamite Results – December 1, 2021

•

Dynamite Date: December 1, 2021 Location: Gas South Arena, Duluth, Georgia Commentators: Hangman Page, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We’re two weeks away from Winter Is Coming and that could be a heck of a big night. You can probably guess some of the card from here and that means AEW has a path to take on the way to the show. Other than that, we have a street fight this week as Cody Rhodes faces Andrade El Idolo. Let’s get to it. Jim Ross isn’t here tonight so Hangman Page is filling in. In two weeks: Page vs. Bryan Danielson for the World Title. Bryan Danielson vs. Alan Angels Danielson wastes no time in starting with the kicks as Angels is in trouble early. The fans are behind Angels and Danielson throws in a Hulk Hogan hand to the ear to turn up the anger another notch. The kicks and chops in the corner make it even worse, followed by the running corner dropkick. Angels fights back but gets pulled into a cross armbreaker. That’s broken up so Angels sends him outside for a pair of d..

AEW Star Heading Back To Japan

•

Back in a bit. AEW has one of the most impressive rosters in recent memory and a lot of that is due to how varied everything really is. There are some incredibly talented wrestlers on the roster and it makes for some rather awesome shows. There is not always room for everyone though and now one of them will be heading away, at least for a little while, to work another show. Hikaru Shida has announced that she will be returning to Japan to appear on the Makai Genesis ReBoot show on February 4 at Kameari Ririo Hall. There is nothing to suggest that this will be anything more than a single match and Shida is not expected to miss extended time from AEW. He might have it for awhile. Monday Night Raw has been on the air for a long time and will be celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in 2023. That is a heck of a run and there have been some incredibly memorable moments over the years. Some of them have been better than others, but there are certain names who go along with the show’s history. Now one of them has reached an amazing accomplishment. According to 411mania.com, Randy Orton has now wrestled the most matches in the history of Monday Night Raw. Orton and Riddle defeated Dolph Ziggler/Robert Roode on this week’s Monday Night Raw, marking Orton’s 437th match on the show, breaking his tie with Kane for the most in history. REVIEW: Clash Of The Champions 25: Title Night!

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Clash of the Champions XXV Date: November 10, 1993 Location: Bayfront Arena, St. Petersburg, Florida Attendance: 6,000 Commentators: Jesse Ventura, Tony Schiavone This is a big night for WCW as there are seven matches with five different titles on the line. Vader is still World Champion and dominating the company, but the fans are behind Flair as he tries to take the title. Other than that we have Sting/British Bulldog teaming up to go after the World Tag Team Titles (no longer Unified and just WCW now) and Dustin..

KB’s Review: Just What I Always Wanted

•

The last week has been the week of talking, with three major talking segments of varying quality. That had me thinking about some kind of a look at all three of them and some kind of comparison, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. One promo segment was reaching all time status and there was no point in trying to compare (or even contrast) the other two as it might as well have been on another planet. Today we’re going to bask in some promoing glory, which is something everyone needs to do every now and then. Last week featured an all timer of a battle on the mics as CM Punk and MJF went at it to open Dynamite. This is the kind of thing that had fans drooling as soon as Punk’s music interrupted MJF the week before. These are two of the best talkers, especially trash talkers, in the world and I think everyone knew we were going to be in for an instant classic between the two of them. What made this even better was the fact that it delivered on almost all points. This was everything t..

That doesn’t exactly make things feel that important around here and I’m not sure what that is going to mean going forward. At least the action should be good and that’s about all we can ask for around here. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Quinn McKay gives us the welcome and the rundown. Brian Johnson vs. John Walters Pure Rules. Johnson runs his mouth about how awesome he is and how he you spell Pure M-E-C-C-A. They go with the grappling to start until Walters nips out of a headscissors to send us to a break. Back with Johnson hitting a shoulder to the ribs in the corner but getting armdragged into an armbar. It works so well that Walters does it again, with Johnson not being able to monkey flip his way to freedom. Johnson tries to escape but gets pulled back..

Former WWE Star Returning To The Ring After Five Year Absence

Welcome back? Wrestling is rather different from the rest of the sporting world in that wrestlers are able to jump back into the ring at almost any time. Since there is no season or anything close to one, a wrestler can work a match or two and then sit on the sidelines for as long as they want. Now a legend is returning to the ring just after officially leaving WWE. Last month, Scotty 2 Hotty requested and received his release from WWE. This ended a five year long stint as an NXT trainer and a decades long association with the company. Since his release, Scotty has already been signed to wrestle at the IPSW Valentine’s Vengeance on February 18. This will be Scotty’s first match of any kind since November 2016. WWE Wrestlers Are Reportedly Chronically Underpaid

They aren’t going to work on that. WWE is a huge wrestling promotion and by far the biggest in the world. The company has its hands in all kinds of things and it has long since figured out how to make a fortune. That opens up a lot of doors for them, but you might not know it just by looking. WWE has released well over 100 wrestlers, citing budget cuts. Now we know something interesting about the remaining roster. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, most mainstream sports teams pay out about 50% of their revenue to athletes. That is not the case in WWE though, where about 10% of the revenue goes to the wrestlers. Everyone in the company, including Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, is underpaid and should be making far more than they are currently bringing in. There are some talented wrestlers not making enough money. The statement reads as follows: Over the past couple of months my life has taken on the mantra grow, learn, change. Dealing with shadow work took strength I didn’t know I had. I think God for my loving family because they got me through some of the roughest months of my life. But I realized the real test is application. So I took my leap and after speaking with [Tony Khan] and AEW higher officials we’ve decided not to renew my contract with All Elite Wrestling. This was a hard decision but a needed one. I am grateful for their understanding and that we could mutually come to this agreement. I’ve enjoyed my time with AEW and wish them all the best. I appreciate their love and welcoming me into t..

WWE References To Released Wrestlers Thought To Go Too Far

It didn’t go over well. There are a lot of ways to hype up a match in WWE and some of them are a bit more successful than others. Some of the most effective promos can also be the most controversial, but they certainly get people talking. Sometimes though the controversy goes a bit too far and it rubs people the wrong way. That seems to be the case again this week. Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had a contract signing during this week’s Monday Night Raw to set up their Women’s Title match. During the exchange, both mentioned some recent WWE releases, with Morgan saying that Lynch’s contract was the reasons her friends were gone. Backstage Reason For Kevin Owens Being Added To Day 1 WWE Title Match

He serves a purpose. We are rapidly approaching the end of the year and WWE is not exactly waiting around on the 2022 slate of shows. WWE will be presenting Day 1 on January 1 and the show already has a main event set. The main event will be a triple threat match, and it turns out there is a rather specific reason behind the company setting up the match as they did. This week on Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens defeated WWE Champion Big E. in a non-title match. As a result, Owens was added to the already announced WWE Title match between Big E. and Seth Rollins. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Owens was added to take the fall in the match, which will allow the Rollins vs. Big E. feud to continue.
