They Weren’t Happy: Sheamus Reveals Backstage Heat Over Major Career Milestone

He was the new guy. One of the most difficult things for a wrestling promotion to do is elevate new stars into the main event scene. It is something that has to be done every now and then though, no matter how tricky it might be. The right wrestler has to be found in order to make it work, but even then there could be some issues. Now we know how things went a bit off when a new star was elevated. During an appearance on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Sheamus talked about how he was received backstage after winning the WWE Title from John Cena at Tables, Ladders And Chairs 2009. Sheamus had only been on WWE TV for about five and a half months when he won the title and said that nobody was very excited over what happened. Instead, Sheamus had backstage heat from some of the wrestlers who had been around for years and never got that kind of opportunity. Sheamus has gone on to become a four time World Champion during his WWE career. Sheamus has done alright for himself in WWE. Check ..

During the post-event media scrum, Saraya addressed the status of her neck after the match with Britt. “A Career Highlight For Me”: WWE Star Thanks Fans For Special Moment

He seems touched. All kinds of things take place in wrestling on any given show and some of them can be game changes depending on what takes place. VIDEO: Edge Confirms Retirement Rumors; Potential Timeline Revealed

Last August, Edge openly admitted that his wrestling days were numbered after he made his return to WWE back in 2020. A part-time schedule and smart booking has allowed the WWE Hall of Famer to continue wrestling for the past three years in select feuds, but even he would be the first tell you that he’s wrestling on borrowed time. During a recent podcast episode of the Leafs Morning Take, Edge discussed a number of topics, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, the fact that the Montreal Screwjob was his first WWE PPV he attended as a talent and an update on the “clock ticking” on The Rated R Superstar’s wrestling career. Here’s the full appearance from Edge. Around the 8:50 mark is when he begins addressing the “closing window.” Edge announced his retirement plans back in August. NXT LVL Up Results – November 18, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: November 18, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Byron Saxton We are on the way to Survivor Series and for once there was something a little different here last week. Granted it was just a six man tag but after the months of the same formula, a little change was nice to see. There is no reason to believe that will stick this week, but at least they made things better once. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Thea Hail vs. Dani Palmer The rest of Chase U is here with Hail and this is Palmer’s debut. Palmer even shakes hands with Chase U to start so she seems rather nice. They fight over arm control to start, with Hail getting the better of things off an armbar. A springboard wristdrag keeps Palmer in trouble before we get the armbar sequel. Back up and Palmer flips her over to set up a standoff in a bit of a surprise. Palmer manages to grab an abdominal stretch, which Hail breaks away from to start the comeback. A neckbre..

One More: Former Champion Announces Return To WWE Ring After 7 Year Absence

He’s still got it? Retirement is a weird thing in wrestling as you never know when you are going to be seeing a wrestler for the last time. It isn’t like they can come back for another season or have to wrestle a minimum of several matches before they can hang up their boots. Wrestlers can come back for a one off match whenever they like and that is what a former champion is going to do. Former WWE star and current producer Jamie Noble has announced that he will be returning to the ring during WWE’s upcoming live tour. Noble will be wrestling against an opponent to be named on December 11 at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virginia, Noble’s home state. Noble, 45 years old, has not wrestled since June 8, 2015 and has not had a singles match since January 13, 2013. It was noted that this may be his last ever match for WWE and there is nothing to suggest this is a full time return to the ring. The Revolution Will Be Televised: AEW Reveals Details For Next Pay Per View In New Market

That’s the next one. For the better part of forty years, pay per views have been the most important events in wrestling. No More? Successful Team Likely Splits At AEW Full Gear

They might need counseling. Teams and groups have a long history in wrestling as there have been people paired together for years. These pairings can go in a variety of directions, but sometimes they go south rather quickly. You never know when you are going to see a team have problems or even split up, but a successful one seems to be done following this weekend. One of the featured matches at this weekend’s AEW Full Gear 2022 saw the Acclaimed successfully defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee/Swerve Strickland). During the match, Strickland wanted Lee to use a pair of pliers but Lee refused. As a result, Strickland slapped Lee in the face, resulting in Lee walking away. Strickland was left to fight on his own and was pinned shortly thereafter. The team did well while they lasted. Busy Night: Several Title Changes Take Place At AEW Full Gear

They’re a big deal. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling and it means a lot for one to change hands. A wrestler getting their hands on a championship is the kind of thing that can alter a wrestler’s career trajectory in a very important way, especially if it is their first. Cassidy takes so long setting up the big punch that Marshall falls down. The ..

MJF Wins AEW World Championship; William Regal Turns Heel at AEW Full Gear

The AEW World Championship match with Jon Moxely defending the title against MJF was a rare instance of being so unpredictable that anything could happen. There was speculation after Wednesday’s final segment on Dynamite, which had William Regal in the middle of the frame between MJF and Jon Moxely. Based on the ending on Dynamite, a lot of fans assumed that William Regal would be the determining factor in whoever won tonight. After the riveting promo between MJF and Regal about their past, it seemed that AEW was building MJF into the great babyface champion the company needs for the future, but he’s aligned himself with the devil. At AEW Full Gear: William Regal just revealed himself as the devil that was always standing by Jon Moxely’s side It started towards the end of the match when MJF teased using the ring to get the win, which led Regal to come down to the ring. REPORT: Stone Cold Steve Austin Not Training for a Match at WrestleMania 39

One of the bigger stories of the month has been WWE offering Stone Cold the chance to do another match down the line. It was not clear if they meant Austin doing something at a Crown Jewel event, or did they mean something for WrestleMania 39. The rumor mill got even hotter when videos of Stone Cold training came out on Instagram. People thought that after his great match in Dallas with Kevin Owens, he’d stepped up his training regiment to be ready for WrestleMania in Hollywood. The Texas Rattlesnake released his latest video on Instagram explaining his workout routine and addressing the “speculation” that has been built over his training. Click here to hear the latest news right from the mouth of Stone Cold himself Now, we have to remember that Stone Cold wrestled in Dallas and the wrestling world wasn’t this intense about his workout schedule a year ago. Here’s What Tony Khan Had Planned for Saraya if She Wasn’t Cleared to Wrestle

For the first time in five years, Saraya will finally make her in-ring return to the squared circle. She will wrestle Britt Baker in her return bout, which has been highly featured as one of the top feuds heading into tonight’s AEW Full Gear. It’s very exciting for the AEW fans and for Saraya herself to have the opportunity to perform after a five year absence. There hasn’t been any word on her training or how much she’s been in the ring over the past few months. AEW only just released the news that she was medically cleared to compete at Full Gear this past week. Tony Khan, who participated in the standard conference call before Full Gear, apparently didn’t have any concerns about Saraya being physically capable of performing in the ring when she signed with the company. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confimed the following via Twitter about what plans were in place for Saraya if she couldn’t actually wrestle: Tony Khan tells me that @Saraya was confident she would get cleared and felt..

Viper Memories: Randy Orton Posts Tribute To Umaga And Rosey

That’s a special tribute. There have been a lot of wrestlers to come and go throughout the years and unfortunately some of them are no longer here. That could be due to a variety of reasons but so many of them have left before they should have. Other wrestlers will remember them quite fondly and that is what Randy Orton is doing with a departed former WWE star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Bianca Belair Has Her Eye On Very Specific Film Role Earlier this week, a fan posted a photo to Twitter showing presumable himself posing with Randy Orton and Umaga. Positive Injury Update on Hangman Adam Page Before AEW Full Gear

On the October 18th episode of AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday, Hangman Adam Page suffered a serious concussion injury in his AEW World Championship match against Jon Moxely. Aside from some general news, there haven’t been many reports on how his health is progressing, especially with AEW Full Gear just hours away. During the recent AEW media call with Tony Khan, one of the questions that was posed to the AEW President was how Hangman has been doing and his health status before AEW Full Gear. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Tony Khan said the following: Tony Khan says Hangman Page is healing well following his concussion — Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com (@SeanRossSapp) November 17, 2022 Related: Very Important Update On Hangman Page’s Injury Status “Healing” is the key word here. RUMOR: Tony Khan May Strip Women’s Championship From AEW Star; Thunder Rosa Reacts

When Thunder Rosa relinquished the AEW Women’s Championship back in August, the rumor mill went wild on her “injury status” and a bunch of other fabricated information. The title has been an Interim World Championship until her return on AEW television. Toni Storm claimed the belt and became the AEW Interim Women’s Champion at All Out in September. Everything has been going alright since then, but there’s a little bet of a booking issue. Storm is having a good reign, but it’s been a bit overshadowed by the return of Saraya and Britt Baker stealing the show. Related: MJF Talks WWE With Tony Khan After AEW Dynamite A lot of the issue is that the AEW fanbase doesn’t love the concept of “Interim Champions.” There’s a valid argument that it makes the company’s championships a little less valuable. The long term play always seemed to be Toni Storm vs. Thunder Rosa down the line. However, a new report shared AEW President Tony Khan’s thoughts on the potential decision to strip Thunder Rosa..

A Scary Situation: Backstage Feelings On Adam Cole’s Health Status

That’s a bad sign. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as anyone can be put on the shelf for any amount of time. It can be made even worse if there is no way of knowing how long a wrestler is going to be out of action. That seems to be the case again with an AEW star, and now his injury status has gone on for so long that people are worried. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: AEW Full Gear 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts AEW’s Adam Cole was injured on June 26 at Forbidden Door, suffering a concussion during his match. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “a number of people” are concerned about Cole’s injury status, though who or why was not explained. In addition to his concussion, Cole was dealing with a torn labrum going into Full Gear. In his absence, Cole has been regularly streaming on Twitch. C..

PHOTO: Alexa Bliss Literally Suffers Bloody Injury Coming Home to Her Dogs

Alexa Bliss is one of the most marketable stars that WWE has under contract, which often means a crazy schedule that keeps her away from home for significant stretches of time. Anyone with pets will tell you how hard it is to leave them for an extended period of time. The five-time WWE Women’s Champion just went more than 20 days being home. RingSideNews followed the story of her day on social media. The story goes that she went home for a “visit” and could only stay for about 8 hours. However, her dogs were so happy to see her after basically three weeks away that Alexa Bliss suffered a bloody lip in all the excitement. Potentially sensitive photo is below: Get home – dogs are so excited that they split my lip… fantastic pic.twitter.com/6NmIcHjkOj — Lexi (Kaufman) Cabrera (@AlexaBliss_WWE) November 18, 2022 It’s not anything that will keep her out of the ring, but we’ve all gotten a happy scratch or love bite from our pets, especially after some time apart. It’s just a testament ..

AEW Full Gear 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s time for another AEW pay per view and as has been the case for a pretty good while now, things are not exactly feeling the most interesting at the moment. The World Title match doesn’t have the most personal setup and the rest of the show is feeling a bit hit or miss. That being said, the idea of AEW having a bad pay per view seems completely insane so I have quite a bit of confidence in what they are going to do. Let’s get to it. Zero Hour: Jun Akiyama vs. Eddie Kingston This is a match that was added after this week’s Rampage went off the air. In short, this is Kingston’s dream match and….I’m struggling to come up with a reason that should interest me. Akiyama is a legend, but there is no real reason for the two of them to be fighting other than Kingston just saying he wanted it to happen. For some reason this is added to the pre-show and now the night is even longer than it needed to be. I’ll go with Akiyama winning, as AEW seems to like the idea of doing everything they can..
