Is WWE Interested In Bringing Back Alberto Del Rio?

That’s a big no. Alberto Del Rio is one of the more polarizing names in modern wrestling. There is no denying the fact that he’s a very good in-ring performer, but he’s not the most popular guy in the world and has had controversy follow him for a long time now. It’s fairly clear that his in-ring career is winding down, but there’s always the chance of one more run. Is WWE interested?
Del Rio recently spoke with Superluchas.com and said that he was interested in a return to WWE. However, according to Fightful.com, WWE has absolutely no interest in bringing Del Rio back to the company. Del Rio reportedly rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and didn’t make things any better when he no showed last year’s Lucha Underground vs. Impact Wrestling event over WrestleMania weekend. Del Rio last wrestled for on the August 16, 2016, SmackDown Live.
Del Rio did have his moments. Check out one of his better attacks on Big Show:

Opinion: Good. I haven’t..

They’re Reviving Something. The Revival Just Brought Something Out Of Mothballs.

One more for the wrestling historian. The Revival won the Raw Tag Team Titles a little over a month ago and haven’t exactly done much with them. The idea that the Revival is going to bring some sweeping change to the division has long since been forgotten as they’re barely ever able to work the style of match that made them such successes in the first place. However, they did do one thing right.
On Saturday night in Amherst, Massachusetts, the Revival wore the classic design for the Tag Team Titles in a title defense. These belts were used from 1985-2002 and were replaced around the time that the company switched over from WWF to WWE. There is no indication that the classic designs will be made permanent, though such a move was made when Cody Rhodes reintroduced the classic Intercontinental Title.
Not saying we're the best, but til they find something better we're here, no fear, write me a letter, til then…

Video Debate: Which Match Should Main Event WrestleMania 35?

There are multiple sides to everything. We’re coming up on WrestleMania 35 and there’s a clear cut main event….in theory. For months, it has been assumed that the Raw Women’s Title match will close the show, but WWE has referred to multiple matches as the main event, leaving some doubt to the answer. WWE knows this and is managing to debate itself on the issue.
Which one do you have? Check out a rather fun debate:
[This post contains video, click to play]

WWE has released a new video in their Head To Head series looking at which match should main event WrestleMania. The video is presented in a debate style between two people, with one arguing for the Raw Women’s Title match (Becky Lynch and Charlotte challenging champion Ronda Rousey) main eventing the show while the other backs the Universal Title match (Brock Lesnar defending against Seth Rollins). The debate is rather lighthearted and humorous, with arguments from both sides.
Opinion: I would really hope that WWE does the right..

Video: Watch Jerry Lawler Dance With Rikishi In A Very Nice Tribute To Brian Christopher

Keeping it in the family. Last year, Brian Christopher, better known as Grandmaster Sexay, passed away at the age of forty six. Christopher was a fairly successful wrestler over his career with his highest level of fame coming as part of the team Too Cool, also including Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi. Their dance act was rather popular, and that popularity continues to this day and this weekend in particular.
On Saturday night, Christopher’s father Jerry Lawler and former partner Rikishi appeared at a Memphis Grizzlies game for part of their Grind City Wrestling night. Rikishi and Lawler performed the Too Cool dance on the court, with Lawler performing Christopher’s part. Before the dance, Rikishi talked about how Christopher was his friend and Lawler said it would be an honor to take his son’s part. There were other wrestlers in attendance for the evening as well, including the Steiner Brothers and Buff Bagwell.
These are some kind words. Check out Rikishi’s speech:

We Missed The Last Dance. A WWE Tag Team May Be Done With Little Fanfare.

Well they were nice while they lasted. It’s hard to say where things are going to go in the WWE. You might see a person go from a singles wrestler to a tag wrestler to being a manager or almost all points in between. It’s the nature of the business and sometimes someone is a great fit in one area but not so much in the others. At the moment, something that seemed successful might have come to an end.
According to Tyler Breeze via Twitter, his team with Fandango, collectively known as Breezango, may be finished. Breeze was asked on Twitter to name a tag team that didn’t get enough love. Breeze responded “Breezan…never mind”, suggesting that the team is no more. Fandango has been recovering from an injury and has yet to make his return to TV. It is currently not known when he will be back or what he will be doing upon return.

Video: Kenny Omega And The Young Bucks Announce The Location For All In 2

It worked well enough the first time. Last year, a show called All In was announced and eventually turned into the biggest independent wrestling show of all time. From that show came AEW, which has the potential to take the wrestling world by storm. All In was a huge deal by itself, and since the first one worked so well, it was pretty clear that we would be seeing it again. And now we know where.
Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks appeared at the C2E2 convention in Chicago over the weekend and announced that All In 2 would be taking place in Chicago at the Sears Center, the location of the first All In show. There was no other information given, including a date for the show. The first AEW show is Double Or Nothing, scheduled for May 25 of this year in Las Vegas.
Here’s the full panel. Check out the announcement plus a lot more:

Opinion: You can’t blame them for this one as it’s a city where they had a lot of success in the first place. Havi..

Impact Wrestling Results – March 22, 2019

Impact Wrestling
Date: March 22, 2019
Location: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada
Commentators: Don Callis, Josh Matthews
It’s title time as Rich Swann defends the X-Division Title against Sami Callihan, who is ticked off over Swann turning down the chance to join OVE. Other than that we’re likely to get some fallout from Johnny Impact turning heel last week, which is probably best for everyone. Let’s get to it.
The opening recap looks at everything going on around here, including Moose beating up the Rascalz, Jordynne Grace becoming #1 contender and the World Title situation.
Opening sequence.
Moose vs. Trey Miguel Fallout from the Rascalz making fun of their clothes and not getting anywhere with Melissa Santos. Miguel goes for the legs to start and actually pulls off a hurricanrana. Moose gets sent to the floor a few times but a suicide dive won’t even put him off his feet. The second attempt is countered into a release apron bomb but Trey slips out of another o..

Video: Injured Superstar Back In The Ring

Welcome back. You never know how injuries are going to work in wrestling. Sometimes these things aren’t as bad as others, but there are some things that keep wrestlers out of the ring for a very long time. That seems to have been the case with one of the more high profile wrestlers on the Monday Night Raw roster, but an update over the weekend seems to offer some good news.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Alexa Bliss worked a match at a house show last night last night. Bliss was hosting her Moment of Bliss segment with Natalya when Lacey Evans interrupted and attacked. Nikki Cross made the save, setting up a tag match where Natalya made Bliss tap to the Sharpshooter. Bliss has been out of the ring for a long time, with only two televised matches since October. There is no word on when she will be back in the ring on Monday Night Raw.
This has happened more than once lately. Check out Bliss getting in the ring earlier this month in Toronto:

WWE In Talks To Bring In Major Names For WrestleMania 35 (Yes This Could Happen)

Ok that’s a big deal. WrestleMania 35 is the biggest show of the year and WWE already has a lot of big stuff planned. They have a ton of matches to get through and it’s not even clear if all the champions are going to be wrestling. Since it’s WWE though, they have a lot of other stuff planned as well. This includes the traditional legends moments and WWE might have something major planned.
According to PWInsider.com by way of 411mania.com, WWE is bringing in Hulk Hogan for some undetermined WrestleMania role. This would be Hogan’s first WrestleMania appearance since WrestleMania 31. In addition to this, WWE is considering bringing in Steve Austin, who hasn’t appeared on the show since WrestleMania 32. Hogan’s most recent appearance was at Crown Jewel in November, while Austin last appeared at Raw 25 in January 2018.
They’ve done something like this before, albeit with a bonus. Check out this behind the scenes clip before one of the coolest moments ever:

Jim Ross Reveals That He Is In Talks With AEW

You had to figure that this was coming eventually. It had been previously reported that Jim Ross will not be re-signing with WWE when his contract expires on March 29. But what will he be up to after that?
He appeared on Outside The Lines recently to discuss this topic. It was there that he said that he has been in talks with AEW about joining their brand:
“I don’t know, we’re talking. I just haven’t signed anything yet. My people and their people are doing their thing. The only agent I grew up knowing was a State Farm agent in Oklahoma, I got a real agent now, man. So, they’re working on it. I’d like to get into some voice-over work, I’d like to do some… I wouldn’t mind having a radio gig doing college football.”

You can see..

There Is A Chance. This Dream Match Could Still Take Place.

So you’re saying there’s a chance. The Monday Night Wars were one of the most exciting times in the history of professional wrestling. The battle between Monday Night Raw and Monday Nitro became a war among the fans over which company was better. That often meant a comparison of the rosters, with various dream matches being discussed. One of them never came to fruition, but it might not be dead just yet.
Sting was a guest at the Liverpool Comic-Con earlier this month and was asked if he would ever come out of retirement. Sting said that he would, though the only possible way would be for a match against the Undertaker. He said that he was hoping for the match to happen during his run with the company in 2015 but the schedules just didn’t click. At the same time though, Sting says that he does not regret the match never happening. Sting officially retired in 2016 after wrestling a handful of matches for WWE. There is no word on if WWE or Undertaker has any interest in the match taking ..
