Rumor: Even More Matches Being Added To WrestleMania Card This Week.

It’s not over! I don’t know how many more ways I can come up with to say how many matches are going to be on the WrestleMania 35 card. There is a very good chance that the show is going to break the record for the most matches at a single WrestleMania with more matches being added to the card even with so little time left to go before the show. As it turns out, we might be seeing even more.
According to Postwrestling.com, there is a chance that both the Raw Tag Team Titles and SmackDown Tag Team Titles could also be defended on the show. There is no word on who would be challenging for either set of titles, but there is a chance that one set of titles could have changed hands before the show. According to WWE.com, the Revival is set to defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against Ricochet and Aleister Black on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
They’ve tried this before. Check out Black and Ricochet getting a shot at the titles earlier this month:

Video: Woo Yeah! Ric Flair Is Selling Coffee And Pizza.

He’s still got it. If there’s one thing that Ric Flair can do, it’s be one of the most entertaining and charismatic wrestlers in history. Even at 70 years old, he’s still able to go out there and make you care about him, no matter what he’s doing. That makes him a rather marketable guy in the right circumstances, as it’s hard to ignore someone in a big feathery rope shouting WOO. That’s the case again.
Flair is featured in a pair of new commercials for Cumberland Farms stores, featuring a lot of WOOing. The commercials are rather short and show Flair in his robe shouting WOO over and over inside the convenience store, with one of the ads offering a set of subtitles to translate whatever that is supposed to be. At the moment these are the only ads for Flair, though there is always a chance to see more of them in the future.
These are nice and to the point. Check out what Flair has to sell:

Hold Your Horses. Rumor Killer On Possible WrestleMania Ending.

Not so fast? Earlier this week, the SmackDown women’s division, the SmackDown Women’s Title and the main event of WrestleMania 35 (for the Raw Women’s Title) all took a major turn when Charlotte defeated Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Title. It’s not clear what this is going to mean yet for WrestleMania, but one rumored event seems to not be the case anymore.
According to Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline.com by way of 411mania.com, there is no truth to the rumor that WWE is planning to have the Four Horsewomen of NXT pose to end the show. The four (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch) could all leave the show with titles, though there are currently no plans to have them recreate their pose from Takeover: Brooklyn in 2015. However, Meltzer does mention that Vince McMahon could change his mind all over again.
So this isn’t happening. Check out the original pose:

What Were The Original Plans For Kevin Owens’ Return And What Is Next For Him? The Answers Might Surprise You.

You mean they didn’t think it through? Remember last month when Kevin Owens returned to WWE and had a pay per view title match? Remember that match being awesome? Now do you remember Owens doing anything other than hosting an episode of the Kevin Owens Show since then? It’s almost like Owens was brought back up too soon and it’s become a problem. So what has been going on?
According to Mike Johnson on PW Insider Elite Audio, the original plans were to bring Owens back up on either the Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 35. This obviously did not happen and Owens was brought back to television in a hurry with no plans for him. At the moment, Owens has nothing scheduled for WrestleMania and has only wrestled in a tag match since his title match at Fastlane.
Owens certainly hasn’t lost a step. Check out him talking as only he can:

Date: March 28, 2019
Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
Commentators: Percy Watson, Byron Saxton, Renee Young
We’re long since in the home stretch towards Wrestlemania and that means we have a lot of recapping to do. I’m not sure what the point is in having these original matches when there is more stuff that could be done, but why mess with what….well I guess it’s worked somewhat over the rest of the year. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
EC3 vs. Tyler Breeze Breeze has gotten a haircut and hits a dropkick into an early chinlock. That’s reversed into a seated full nelson which is reversed with a jawbreaker as Renee seems to approve of EC3’s physique. There’s the EC3 Elbow but a powerbomb is countered into a superkick for two. Breeze’s hurricanrana gets the same but it’s the 1%er for the pin on Breeze at 4:48.
Result: EC3 b. Tyler Breeze – 1%er (4:48)

We’re still in Las Vegas and on the way to the both United We Stand and Rebellion, meaning it’s hard to say what we’re going to be seeing in the next few weeks. I’m hoping we get something fresh in the main event again like last week, as a break from the seemingly never ending World Title story was a welcome change of pace. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap and preview, this time with narration for a change.
Opening sequence.
Here are LAX and the Lucha Bros for an unsanctioned fight, meaning the Tag Team Titles aren’t on the lines. The fight is on in a hurry with a worried Konnan watching from ringside. Security is out in a hurry and the fans want to seem them fight. The Bros superkick security and manage to sneak up on LAX with a pair of chair shots. Now it’s table time but LAX gets up with a pair of spinebusters to put them through the tables in..

Here’s What Was Originally Planned For Dean Ambrose At WrestleMania 35

Who else was on the Lunatic Fringe? One of the most interesting stories of the year so far has been the contract status of Dean Ambrose. WWE announced that he would be leaving the company in April and has gone so far as to pull him from future house shows. Before Ambrose decided to try his hand elsewhere, something was in the works for him and it turns out that it was going to be a big deal.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ambrose was scheduled to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35 in what was likely to be a match for the Universal Title. The plans were changed back in October when Reigns announced that he was suffering from leukemia, meaning that any plans were thrown out the window. Since then, Ambrose decided to not re-sign with the company and he currently is not scheduled for a WrestleMania match.
They’ve headlined a show for a title before. Check out Ambrose vs. Reigns from Survivor Series 2015:

Go For The Purple And Orange. Former NXT Champion May Be Heading For 205 Live.

Say it isn’t so. Earlier this year, four NXT names made surprising debuts on the main roster, changing the direction of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live and NXT. Suddenly there was fresh talent on the main roster and a bunch of names moving up from the developmental show. Ricochet and Aleister Black have thrived and Tommaso Ciampa is injured, though WWE might have plans for Johnny Gargano.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is considering moving Gargano to the 205 Live roster due to Ciampa’s injury ending the chance of Gargano teaming with him for the time being. Gargano is currently still working regularly in NXT, where he will be facing Adam Cole for the NXT Title at Takeover: New York. There is no word on when Gargano could move to 205 Live.
Here’s what Gargano can do on the main roster. Check out one of his matches from Monday Night Raw:

You Could See Him. John Cena’s WrestleMania 35 Match May Be Set.

The picture gets a little more clear. With most of the WrestleMania 35 card already set, there are only a few holes that still need to be filled in. One of them is quite the question mark as we wait to see if John Cena will be making an appearance. Cena is currently filming a movie but there is a strong chance that he can be at the show. If he is, WWE already has a match planned for him.
According to Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline.com, Cena has an offer on the table to face Elias at WrestleMania and is likely to accept it. While no opponent is listed, it is said to NOT be Kurt Angle, who is scheduled to be facing Baron Corbin at the show. Cena has not wrestled on WWE TV since the January 14 episode of Monday Night Raw. He has been rumored for an appearance on the show in several different spots.
Maybe it can go better than last year, which wasn’t Cena’s night. Check out Cena vs. the Undertaker in a surprising match:

The Process Of Elimination. The Addition Of Several Names To A Battle Royal Suggests Matches Being Left Off WrestleMania.

You have to fill in the ranks somehow. With less than two weeks to go before WrestleMania 35, two of the matches that are in need of some more details are the battle royals, which could combine for nearly fifty names making it onto the show. While it’s interesting to see who is included in the field, the rosters can also show you what might not be taking place on the show, which may be the case here.
WWE.com has revealed a list of twenty six more names for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, bringing the total number of entrants to twenty nine, along with the already entered Michael Che, Colin Jost and Braun Strowman. The additional names (listed below) include Chad Gable, Bobby Roode and the Hardys. This would heavily suggest (though not guarantee) that these four will not be involved in a Tag Team Title match on the show. With these names announced, there is a strong possibility of no SmackDown Tag Team Title match and a somewhat less likely chance of a Raw Tag Team Title mat..

The post-Anniversary Show shows continue here and that means another one off night that may or may not mean anything. There’s always the chance that none of this goes anywhere, which can be rather tiresome. At the same time though, there is a real chance of getting something very nice out of these shows. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Dalton Castle/The Boys vs. Lifeblood Bandido/Tracy Williams/Juice Robinson with Tenille Dashwood for Lifeblood here. Castle sends Robinson to the floor for the strut to start, only to have Robinson throw him to the floor for a strut of his own. Another exchange of tosses to the floor is capped off by Castle being sent over the top but he comes back in for another strut off. It’s off to Williams instead, with the Boys making some rather weird noises to suggest that they want in.

Official May Not Mean Official. Just Who Is Hosting WrestleMania 35?

Just in case the card isn’t packed enough. I don’t think it’s any secret to say that WrestleMania 35 is going to be one of the longest wrestling shows of all time. With a possible seventeen matches being included on the card, things are already going to be long but that’s not all. There will also be bonus segments, including some involving the official host. But who is that host?
Earlier this month, Alexa Bliss was announced as the official host of WrestleMania 35. However, on Sunday Carmella sent out a Tweet saying that she and R-Truth should host the show, setting off an argument between her and Bliss. R-Truth got involved also, tweeting out a video saying that he and Carmella would be hosting the show, but that Bliss could do something as well, if certain conditions were met. Here is the Twitter exchange, plus R-Truth’s response.
Serious question y’all..who should be the host of @WrestleMania?! ?
