Three New Stars Make AEW Debuts On Rampage (Contains Mild Spoilers)

They’re up next. AEW has built up a rather diverse and talented roster in its time. The company features a mixture of young, up and coming stars, current names and veterans, who have come together to create a mixture of matches and wrestlers. New names still need to be added though and that was the case again this week as three more names made their AEW debuts.
The main event of this week’s AEW Rampage saw FTR and Shawn Spears defeat the Embassy in a six man tag match. Following the match, the Kingdom, comprised of Mike Bennett and Matt Taven with Maria Kanellis, interrupted in their AEW debuts. The Kingdom and the Embassy then joined forces to attack FTR until Samoa Joe and Wardlow made the save. This comes less than a week after the Kingdom reportedly finished up with Impact Wrestling.
Opinion: You can’t say that Tony Khan isn’t committed to the Ring Of Honor stuff as the brand seems to have landed even more stars. I’m not sure what that is going to mean but at least they have some..

Impact Wrestling Results – October 13, 2022

Impact Wrestling
Date: October 13, 2022
Location: Albany Armory, Albany, New York
Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan
It’s the Bound For Glory fallout show, as the biggest pay per view of the year ended with Bully Ray as the next challenger to Josh Alexander. Since there was no way to have him show up on Impact and make a challenge, Ray won a twenty man match by pinning Steve Maclin to get the shot. I’m sure nothing but good will come from this. Let’s get to it.
We open with a long recap of Bound For Glory.
Here is Josh Alexander to get things going. The fans are rather glad to see Alexander, who talks about how Eddie Edwards said their match was going to be a war. That is what it was, but now the war is over because here he stands, still the World Champion. He is the champion but he has made mistakes. Now he knows that the next challenger is waiting so Bully Ray, get out here right now.
Cue Bully, who Alexander welcomes back to the company, but wants to know why Ray helpe..

WWE Officially Sends Former World Champion From Monday Night Raw To SmackDown

To the other side. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that the company has divided them into a variety of roster. Some of those wrestlers perform exclusively, or close to it at least, on one brand or the other. You do not see many people move from one show to the other but now WWE has moved a living legend to the other main roster in order to keep him around.
This week on SmackDown, Rey Mysterio made a surprise appearance, informing Triple H that he was going to be quitting the promotion due to his issues with his son Dominik. Triple H asked him to talk about it and officially moved Mysterio to the SmackDown roster. Mysterio was put into a fatal four way to crown a new #1 contender to the Intercontinental Title, which Mysterio went on to win.
Opinion: This is a way to go and while it very well may be switched back later on, moving Mysterio to a new location is going to open some doors for him. I’m curious to see where the story goes and it does at least give them a logical..

WWE Considers A New Option To Keep Naomi In The Company

This may take a little time. There have been a lot of stories taking place in WWE over the course of the year. One of the most interesting was the night when Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on the company back in May, with the two having yet to return. While there have been rumors of the two coming back at some point, nothing has happened as of yet. As it turns out, one of them could be around for a lot longer than she may like.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while there are no new developments on her contract negotiations with WWE, the company may decide to freeze her original deal. That would prevent Naomi from being able to negotiate with any other promotion or appear anywhere else until either a deal was worked out or she returned to WWE to complete her contract. The specifics of Naomi’s deal are not known, but her contract is said to have been almost up when she walked out.
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going to happen with Banks and Naomi but to call this a me..

Another NXT Star Injured, Out Of Action

That sounds serious. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them can keep a wrestler on the shelf for a long time. You never want to see someone get hurt as it can derail everything that they have going on. Some of the worst kinds of injuries are the ones with no timetable for a return and unfortunately that seems to be the situation again for a young up and coming star.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT’s Tiffany Stratton is currently out of action with a head injury of some kind. It is not clear what kind of head injury it is but there is no mention of it being a concussion. Stratton was injured at some point during her Lights Out match against Wendy Choo on the August 23 edition of NXT and has not appeared on NXT TV since.
Opinion: That is the kind of thing that could go in a lot of different directions depending on the specifics. Right now we don’t know enough about the situation to know what is wrong and that can be rather frustrating. Hopeful..

Details On Wyatt 6 Stable, Likely Members And Characters

That’s a plan. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the most effective ways to present someone can be to put them together into a big stable so wrestlers can get their own television time together. Now it seems that WWE is interested in putting together a bunch of people under quite the monster leader.
Last weekend at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt returned to the company after a year plus absence. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt is expected to lead a stable called the Wyatt 6, a term he trademarked earlier in the year. The members will be based on characters from the Firefly Fun House, with the following wrestlers portraying them:
Joe Gacy as Huskus Grayson Waller as Mercy the Buzzard Alexa Bliss as Sister Abigail Erick Rowan as Ramblin Rabbit Bo Dallas as The Fiend Liv Morgan and the Dyad are also considered as possible members in the place of some of the other names. There is no ..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE May Bring Back Historic Show

There might be a future in it. Women’s wrestling has come a long way in the last few years, to the point there there is little left that women have not done in WWE. From headlining WrestleMania to having their own Royal Rumble, women have done quite a few things in the company, but now they might be able to do something that they have only done once before a few years back.
According to Xero News, WWE has discussed the possibility of holding another Evolution event. The original event took place in 2018 and featured a card comprised solely of women’s matches. However, the show is not considered “priority” and would only be held in summer to late 2023. There is no word on when or where the card could take place or what could be included.
Evolution 2 has been spoke about but right now is not considered “priority”.
If it goes ahead will be summer or late 2023

Opinion: This is something that could work well if WWE goes in that direction, but it..

Matt Cardona On Possible WWE Return: “Always Ready For Any Opportunity”

He’d take a call. There have been a lot of returns to WWE over the last few months and a lot of that has been credited to the new regime in charge of the company. As a result of Vince McMahon losing power in the company, some wrestlers who have left the company have been willing to consider a return. Now another company might be interested should the right offer come up.
During a new interview with Metro, Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder during his time in WWE, said that while he does not want to return to WWE, he would be willing to take a phone call. Cardona said that right now, he is focused on having the most fun and making the most money possible. However, he does want to wrestle in Madison Square Garden again and have another WrestleMania moment. In addition, Cardona issued a statement to Wrestling Inc., saying that he was busy with other projects but was “Alwayz Ready” for any opportunity. There is no word on WWE being interested in a Cardona return.
Opinion: I don’t..

WATCH: The Rock Says He Is The Head Of The Table

That sounds challengey. There are a lot of stars in WWE at the moment, but there is only one Roman Reigns. After two plus years as WWE Universal Champion, there are very few names left to give Reigns a serious challenge. It is going to take someone special to take the title from him but the question is who that might be. Someone else might be hinting at a little something.
During an interview with E!’s The Rundown, The Rock was asked who is the head of the table, referring to Reigns’ signature catchphrase. The Rock responded by saying “you’re looking into his eyes right now.” He did go on to say that it does NOT mean he is challenging Reigns for the title at WrestleMania. Reigns vs. The Rock has been rumored for a match at Wrestlemania 39 in April 2023 for several months.
He said it as well as anyone else. Check out the Rock’s interview:

Edge Lands New Acting Role In Upcoming Disney Project

He has a knack for that. Wrestler have a weird relationship with acting, as you would think that they are capable of fitting into the acting world with ease, though it doesn’t exactly work that way. Only a handful of actors have done well in acting and it can be quite the second career for anyone who can make it work. Now another wrestling legend has landed quite the acting role.
According to Variety, WWE Hall of Famer and current Monday Night Raw star Edge has landed a recurring role on the Disney+ Percy Jackson series. Edge will play Ares, the god of war, who will “act as an agent of chaos wherever he goes”. Edge has had a second career in acting following his original retirement from the ring, appearing on shows such as Vikings, Haven and The Flash.
Opinion: That’s a big role for Edge to pick up and it is another step in his second career. Edge seems to have found something he has a knack for in acting and if he can keep going with it, good for him. Working on a Disney+ show is a ..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Adding A Woman To Current Stable

They might need someone new. We are coming up on Survivor Series, which will feature a pair of WarGames matches, with one involving men and another involving women. That means each match will involve two groups of wrestlers, some of which will possibly be a previously established stable. Some of those are already around, and now one of them might be interested in getting a new member.
This week on Monday Night Raw, the OC (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) returned to WWE, reuniting with AJ Styles to help him in his fight against Judgment Day. According to Xero News, WWE is considering adding a woman to the Styles/OC group to face Judgment Day at Survivor Series. This is NOT a confirmed match and there is no word on who the woman might be.

Latest On Adam Cole’s Injury Status, Said To Be “Really Bad”

That really doesn’t sound good. Injuries are among the worse things that you will ever see in wrestling and unfortunately you never know what kind might take place. Some of them are a lot more serious than others and can put a wrestler on the shelf for a very long time. That seems to be the case with a top AEW star and it seems that things might be even worse than they seem.
AEW’s Adam Cole suffered a concussion at Forbidden Door on June 26 and has not wrestled since. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Cole’s concussion was described as being “really bad” and there is no word on when, or if, Cole will ever be able to wrestle again. Cole appeared on AEW Dynamite in August but did not get physical. He has been streaming on Twitch but is currently unable to travel or wrestle.
Opinion: Yeah I would say that sounds serious. Anytime you hear about the question of whether or not a wrestler is going to be able to wrestle again, things are clearly in quite the bad state. Cole is a very ta..
