The game is being played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. You can see the video below: [This post contains video, click to play] The superstars and their picks are as follows: Street Profits – Eagles Baron Corbin – Chiefs The Miz – Chiefs Ricochet – Eagles Dolph Ziggler – Chiefs Bobby Lashley – Chiefs Madcap Moss – Eagles Austin Theory – Chiefs Sarah Schriber – Chiefs Ashante Thee Adonis – Eagles Top Dolla – Chiefs B-Fab – Eagles Tegan Nox – Doesn’t Care Editor’s Opinion: Most of the superstars interviewed are riding with the Chiefs, which I totally get because they have Patrick Mahomes. However, I’ve thought that, for the most of the year, the Eagles have been the most complete team with that explosive office, under Jalen Hurts. Because of the fact that I think the Eagles have..

Switcheroos. WWE Made Multiple Changes To This Week’s Monday Night Raw

What could have been. For thirty years now, WWE has presented Monday Night Raw almost every Monday night as its flagship program. That is one heck of a trick as it is not easy to find a way to produce that much content over and over. The show has to have some adjustments made some time and that was the situation again this week, as multiple changes were made. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: As They Should: WWE Team Praised For Recent Efforts, One Member Stands Out According to Fightful Select, there were multiple changes made to the original plan of this week’s Monday Night Raw. Originally, Akira Tozawa was scheduled to accompany the Street Profits to the ring during the Tag Team Turmoil match. In addition, the Usos were planned to accompany Solo Sikoa to the ring for his match with Dolph Ziggler. There is no word on why WWE made these changes. It was a long night. Special Hometown Moment Takes Place After AEW Dynamite

They’re not done yet. A major wrestling television taping can include all kinds of things in a given night. Some of them are more interesting than others, but there is something special about seeing something that is going to be aired on national, if not international, television. Sometimes though, you even get something that didn’t air on TV and that can be all the better. That was the case again this week. Following this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Blackpool Combat Club came to the ring to celebrate with Jon Moxley, who told people to say a prayer for the injured Hangman Page. This brought out Ryan Nemeth, who Moxley referred to as Dolph Ziggler (Nemeth’s brother), before the Club beat Nemeth up for mocking Cincinnati. Moxley thanked the fans and talked about growing up in Cincinnati, albeit with some microphone issues. After his speech, Moxley talked to a security guard and asked for his thoughts on the Heritage Bank Arena sound system. Moxley put him i..

WWE Hall Of Famer Returns On Monday Night Raw To Manage Current Star

He can do some things. There have been a lot of stars throughout WWE’s history and some of them have become legends of the industry. You know these stars when you see them and it can mean something to see them show up again after a long absence. That was the situation again this week, as a legend showed up in a new role in an effort to build up a younger star. This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield made a surprise appearance, introducing Baron Corbin as the newest member of the Monday Night Raw roster. Corbin was sent to the show in exchange for Rey Mysterio, who jumped to SmackDown last week. This comes after Layfield picked Corbin up in his limo after a loss on SmackDown back in August. Corbin would go on to defeat Dolph Ziggler with Layfield on commentary. Opinion: This is the kind of move that works out well for everyone, as Layfield is someone the fans are going to recognize who can add credibility to Corbin. At the same time, Corbin has been so ..

Injured WWE Star Returns To Action After Four Month Absence

Welcome back. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler. No matter who you are or how long you have been around, an injury can take you out at any time, even through no fault of your own. Aside from your health, the question becomes how long you are going to be on the shelf. Now we have an answer to that, as a long injured WWE star is back in the ring. Monday Night Raw’s Rhea Ripley returned to action this weekend at a WWE live event in Sioux City, Iowa. Ripley teamed with Damian Priest in a losing effort against the team of Dolph Ziggler and Nikki Ash. This was Ripley’s first match in over four months as she had suffered a brain injury, which kept her from challenging Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title at Money In The Bank. RHEA RIPLEY ?@RheaRipley_WWE #wwesiouxcity pic.twitter.com/WOIjTrzPag — WefLucha (@WefLucha) October 16, 2022 Opinion: It’s great to have Ripley back as you never want someone to be out of action for any length of time. Ripley is..

LOOK: Seth Rollins’ Unlikely Shield Replacements

The new wave? Stables are a way for a wrestling promotion to put stars together in a group and see what they can do. It has long since been a way to make things less complicated and some of the more iconic moments in wrestling have something to do with a stable. This is still the case in modern times and we got a strange call back to one of them over the weekend at a WWE live event. Over the weekend, WWE ran a live event in Bismarck, North Dakota. The show’s main event saw the Miz, Seth Rollins and Austin Theory team up against Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley. During the match, Lashley was knocked down, leaving Rollins to lead his partners in the Shield’s fist pose. Lashley and company would come back to win the match, which served as the show’s main event. But now it’s turned into a six team tag match between with @fightbobby teaming with @HEELZiggler and Kevin Owens against @_Theory1, @WWERollins and @mikethemiz #wwebismarck pic.twitter.com/QJyFuT4Ttg — The Willster (..

Former World Champion Makes Surprise WWE Return, Teases New Feud

Welcome back. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have been quite the successes. While it might not be an exact science, one of the best ways to gauge a wrestler’s success is through the championships they have won, particularly World Titles. This week saw the return of a former World Champion in a surprising moment. The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Theory and Seth Rollins team up to face Bobby Lashley and Riddle. During the match, former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler came to the ring to watch. Later, Theory rolled Riddle up and put his feet on the ropes, only to have Ziggler break it up, allowing Riddle to get the pin. Following the match, Ziggler superkicked Theory to end the show. There is no word on any match between Ziggler and Theory. Opinion: This is quite the surprise and I’m not sure where it is going. I don’t mind having Ziggler back, but what matters is giving Theory something to do on the way up to the ..

Monday Night Raw Results – June 27, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: June 27, 2022 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith It’s a very special night as John Cena is here to celebrate twenty years (to the day) of his WWE debut. That should be enough to carry the night and that might need to be the case. This is also the go home edition of Raw for Money In The Bank, meaning it’s time to build momentum, establish dominance, and maybe even come up with an original tagline for what the participants are doing. Let’s get to it. Earlier today, John Cena returned to quite the hero’s welcome, meeting a bunch of applauding wrestlers and backstage workers. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match: Battle Royal T-Bar, Mustafa Ali, Shanky, Akira Tozawa, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder Mahal, Riddle, Miz, AJ Styles, Ciampa, Reggie, Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Veer Mahaan Tozawa is tossed out fast and Mahaan clotheslines Benjamin out. The Myste..

They Had An Idea: Toni Storm Reveals Original Plans For Her Time In WWE

What could have been. One of the most interesting parts of WWE in recent years has been the amount of wrestlers walking away from the company. This has never been done in WWE history and some of the moves have been rather surprising. Not all of the wrestlers have been let go though, and now one name who left on her own has explained what was planned for her in WWE. During a recent interview on Talk Is Jericho, former WWE and current AEW star Toni Storm spoke about her time in WWE. Storm revealed that WWE was considering a love triangle between herself, Rick Boogs and Dolph Ziggler. Nothing ever happened with the story, which was part of the reason for Storm leaving the company. Storm said that she was depressed and knew that she needed to leave WWE, which led to her departure from the company in December 2021. Opinion: After seeing everything that happened to Storm in WWE, I don’t know if I can blame her for wanting to leave. WWE never did much with her and having her stand there whi..

Former And Current WWE Names Backstage At This Week’s AEW Dynamite

I know you! WWE and AEW are the two most popular and successful wrestling promotions in the United States and nothing else is really in the same ballpark at the moment. The company features some of the biggest names in wrestling, but there are several who are not working for either company right now. Some of those names were backstage at AEW this week, along with a current WWE star. According to Fightful Select, several former WWE names, plus a current WWE star, were backstage at this week’s AEW Dynamite. Dolph Ziggler was backstage visiting friends, as well as his brother Ryan Nemeth. In addition, CJ Perry (formerly known as Lana) was backstage with her husband Miro, along with Renee Paquette (formerly known as Renee Young), with her husband Jon Moxley. None of the names were mentioned on the broadcast and there is nothing to suggest that any are coming to AEW. Opinion: This isn’t much of a surprise as all three of the names have family working for AEW. It is nice to see some of the..

WATCH: Former Champion Makes Surprise Return With Previous Gimmick

Welcome back? Wrestling is interesting in a lot of ways, as you will see a wrestler appear in different characters and gimmicks over the years. Every now and then you will see them revert to some of their own characters, which can make for more than a few interesting options. It can be interesting to see how the wrestler goes when things change and now that might be the case again. Over the weekend, Robert Roode returned to the ring for his first match in two months. Roode wrestled as a singles star with no mention or reference of his regular tag team partner Dolph Ziggler. In addition, Roode came to the ring to his Glorious theme song, which he has not been using during his appearances. There is no word on if this will be used on television going forward. This is quite nice to hear again. Check out Roode’s entrance over the weekend: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Roode’s theme song is one of the best things about him and it is great to see him getting to use it..

WWE Issues New Rule Over Wrestlers Getting Haircuts

That’s a specific list. Wrestling is a visual medium, as stars are going to need to look a certain way to make fans want to see what they are doing. This can come in a variety of ways and WWE is known for caring about appearance more than a lot of other things. That can create some issues, and now WWE has made a rule about a specific change of appearance for some wrestlers. According to Fightful Select, WWE has issued a list of wrestlers allowed to get haircuts, which has leaked online. This list is wrestlers whose haircuts have been approved in advance, though there is nothing to suggest that wrestlers not listed are not allowed to have their hair cut in general. There are no female wrestlers included on the list. Here is the list of names: RAW: AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Miz, Randy Orton, Riddle, Seth Rollins Smackdown: Drew McIntyre, Happy Corbin, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, Paul Heyman, ..

How WWE Reportedly Changed Plans For A Recent Title Change

That was different. WrestleMania 38 weekend has come and gone and there was a lot taking place in WWE. In addition to the namesake WrestleMania pay per view, there was also a stand alone NXT event, plus Monday Night Raw. While these two shows rarely have anything in common, that was the case this week, and now we know something more about how fast things changed. On Saturday, Dolph Ziggler retained the NXT Title over Bron Breakker at Stand & Deliver. Two days later, Breakker took the title from Ziggler in a match not announced until the night of the show. According to Wrestling Observer Live, the original plans called for Ziggler to hold the title for “awhile”, with a commercial airing during Monday Night Raw advertising Ziggler as champion. While not confirmed, the theory was that Breakker was to be called up to the main roster but then WWE changed their minds. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE tends to do time after time, which doesn’t exactly make things that much better..

NXT Results – April 5, 2022

NXT Date: April 6, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph We’re done with Stand & Deliver and while a lot of things happened at the show, the bigger story came on Raw, as Bron Breakker defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the NXT Title. That should open up a few new doors in the main event scene and I’m curious to see which one they take first. Let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Stand & Deliver, plus Bron Breakker getting the title back last night on Raw. Here is Breakker to get things going. After waiting out some WE WANT ZIGGLER/NO WE DON’T chants, Breakker talks about the things that he got to do over the weekend. He went to Wrestlemania for the first time and got to see some of the biggest stars. It made him realize that he was going to headline Wrestlemania one day, but also that he wasn’t going to let Dolph Ziggler leave Dallas with OUR NXT Title. Now the title is home…and here is Imperium to interrupt. Gunther ..

Title Changes Hands For The First Time Ever On Monday Night Raw

History has been made! There are a lot of titles under the WWE umbrella and it can be a big deal when one of them changes hands. It means a lot for both the company and the wrestlers involved, as things are changing in a big way for multiple people involved. If it is one of the first titles in a wrestler’s career, it can mean even more, which was the case this week. Bron Breakker defeated Dolph Ziggler to regain the NXT Title during this week’s Monday Night Raw. The win came after Ziggler defeated Breakker to retain the title at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday, albeit by cheating. This marks Breakker’s second reign as NXT Champion and it came in 24th career match. It is also the first time that the title has changed hands on a regular WWE main roster show. Opinion: It was kind of a confusing few days, as Breakker lost his big title match, only to win it in his next try on a show you wouldn’t expect. That is certainly a different way to go but what matters is that the title is back wh..

Several Titles Change Hands At NXT Stand & Deliver

The gold is gone. Titles are one of the most important concepts in all of wrestling, as whoever has a title is probably going to be one of the top people in the promotion. It makes sense to give someone a title if you want them moving up the card or take it away if it is time for them to move down a bit. That was the case this week, as several titles changed hands Saturday afternoon. There were three title changes on Saturday at NXT Stand & Deliver. First up, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Toxic Attraction to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles on the Kickoff Show. In the regular show’s opening match, Cameron Grimes won the North American Title from Carmelo Hayes in a five man ladder match also involving Santos Escobar, Solo Sikoa and Grayson Waller. Finally, MSK defeated champions Imperium and the Creed Brothers to become Tag Team Champions for the second time. Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler retained their titles. Opinion: You can’t say it was an une..

NXT Results – March 22, 2022

NXT Date: March 22, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett Stand & Deliver is coming up soon and now we have the main event set, as Bron Breakker will get his rematch against Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Title. Other than that, we have some qualifying matches for the North American Title ladder match and the finals of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Let’s get to it. Trick Williams and North American Champion Carmelo Hayes arrive and don’t care about who make it into the ladder match. North American Title Ladder Match Qualifying Match: Roderick Strong vs. Solo Sikoa Malcolm Bivens is at ringside. Strong grabs a choke to start as Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams join commentary. Sikoa fights out and the strike off is on, with Strong getting knocked down against the ropes. Back up and Strong knocks him down again to take over, setting up the reverse chinlock. That’s broken up and Strong chops up against the ropes with a ..

Update On Monday Night Raw Stars Heading To NXT

You’ll be seeing more of them. The WWE roster has been shaken up in a big way in the last year and a half, as WWE has released all kinds of names from the company. That does not leave a lot of room for movement, but WWE still has enough wrestlers to do a few things. A lot of their remaining moves involve NXT and you might be seeing more of those taking place going forward. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE wants to have a Monday Night Raw star appear on NXT every week. The idea will be to build up the appearance on Monday Night Raw, with the idea to help build up NXT. Monday Night Raw’s Dolph Ziggler is the reigning NXT Champion and names such as Robert Roode, the Miz and the Mysterios appeared on this week’s show. There is no word on who else might be making appearances. Opinion: The more I think about this idea, the more I like it, as WWE has enough wrestlers with little to do on Monday Night Raw that it makes sense to have them pop up in NXT for a little while. Let them s..

Five Monday Night Raw Stars Appear On This Week’s NXT

Enjoy your stay. With WWE having so many talented wrestlers on its roster, it can be difficult to give them all something to do. In some cases it is rather easy as the bigger stars will always be busy, but there are several names who might have issues getting a storyline going. That is where the size of WWE can be helpful, as they have another place to send some of those wrestlers, which was on display this week. There were five guest stars from Monday Night Raw this week on NXT. The main event of this week’s show saw NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler, with Robert Roode in his corner, successfully defend his title against Robert Roode. This match was set up by the Miz on a special edition of MizTV. Also on the show, the Mysterios ran into Legado del Fantasma in the back, setting up a Dominik Mysterio victory over Joaquin Wilde. There is nothing to suggest that anyone but Roode or Ziggler will be regulars of any kind on NXT going forward. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can make NXT ..

Four New Matches Announced For NXT Stand & Deliver

It can grow in a hurry. NXT has been shaken up in a lot of ways over the last several months but things seem to have settled down a bit now. A September relaunch gave us NXT 2.0, which is kind of like the classic version but not exactly. There are several things missing, including Takeovers, but NXT does still run major shows. They are doing that again soon and now the card has grown. NXT Stand & Deliver is scheduled for Saturday April 2 and four new matches were announced for the show on NXT this week. First up, NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler will defend his NXT Title against Bron Breakker, who he took the title from last week in a triple threat. Second, NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose will defend against Cora Jade. Next Imperium will defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against MSK and the Creed Brothers in a triple threat match. Finally, Tony D’Angelo will face Tommaso Ciampa, though the final two matches have not been officially confirmed. Opinion: This is the kind of TV show that NXT has ..
