The show has gone from little more than a really souped up live event to a stadium filling event that takes place over two nights. Things have gotten so much bigger that it needs someone to keep track of them all, which is what we will have again this year. They had other plans. We are less than five weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and the show’s card has mostly come together. There are already several matches planned for the show, some of which have either been set in stone or all but set for months now. However, there have been some plans that had to be changed, and now we know just how much one title situation was originally planned. According to Fightful Select, the original World Title plans for WrestleMania 39 called for the Rock vs. Roman Reigns to take place on one night while a WWE Championship match between Seth Rollins and either Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre would take place on the second. Once it became clear that the Rock would not be at the show, McIntyre and Rollins were dropped, with Rhodes vs. Reigns being set instead. In some situations, that is a plus for the wrestlers, and now we know a bit more about how two stars got a special addition to their contracts. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: RUMOR: Former WWE Champion May Return Before WrestleMania 39 Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful appeared on the Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast where he talked about a special clause in the Good Brothers’ contracts. According to the contracts, the team is not required to be at any event where they are not booked to wrestle or appear. There is no word on any other wrestlers having this kind of clause in their contracts. RUMOR: Former WWE Champion May Return Before WrestleMania 39

This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. A former WWE champion, who has been injured for quite some time, may be returning to the ring before WrestleMania 39. In a response to a fan on his Facebook Stories, wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz stated that Randy Orton recently contacted him about making boots for his return to the ring. He said the following: “I haven’t made them yet but Randy Orton contacted me via email for his return. Currently, Drew McIntyre and Bray Wyatt are some of the biggest superstars. Today I received an order for boots for Cody for Wrestlemania.” On Facebook Stories, wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz was asked which wrestler has had the biggest impact on him out of those who order from him. They’ll be back. AEW has several strengths and one of them is the depth of its roster. The company has so many wrestlers from around the world who are well versed in different styles and techniques, allowing for different kinds of matches. One of the drawbacks of this is having wrestlers miss time due to international issues, which seems to be the case again for several names. It can be interesting to see the former WWE stars making their comebacks, as the company is now under a new regime. There are some returns that are surprises and now it seems that another star from the past is already back with the company.
