WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey discussed the inner workings of her on-screen WWE persona after she made her debut with the company as an in-ring performer. Following a electric and memorable debut at WrestleMania 34, Rousey stormed onto WWE programming, but former CEO Vince McMahon saw her character as more “vulnerable than dominant.” Ronda clarified on the latest episode of her podcast Ronda on the Road that Vince McMahon didn’t see her as an “invincible monster” type of character like Brock Lesnar has been booked to be. The comparison between the two obvious based on their legitimate MMA and UFC backgrounds. More On Potential Huge Royal Rumble Return, Possible WrestleMania Match

She could be useful. WrestleMania 38 is less than three months away and WWE is in a bit of a weird predicament. The company has let a lot of wrestlers go and as a result, there are not very many huge stars on top of the lineup. WWE needs to come up with something to make it work out, and one of the best options might be bringing in outside help. That seems to be the case, and now we might know some more about the plans. Earlier this week, a report came out that WWE is hoping to bring back Ronda Rousey, with a return at the Royal Rumble being a possibility. According to Wrestling Observer Live, Rousey is scheduled to be at the Royal Rumble and will set up her WrestleMania 38 match. There is no definitive word on what Rousey would be doing at either show and WWE has made no reference to her. Blast from the past. There are some people who show up in wrestling and take the place by storm. You don’t see it very often but you know it when you see it. That’s what you saw back in 2018 when Ronda Rousey showed up and tore the house down at WrestleMania 34. A year later she was headlining the event in one of the most surprising milestones in wrestling history. Then a day later she was gone, but maybe not forever. Rousey has not appeared in WWE since WrestleMania 35 but she has teased a return a few times since. I don’t think it is any secret that WWE would love to have her back full time, part time or just for a one off appearance, but it is not going to be the case if Rousey does not want to come back. This one might surprise you. Last year at WrestleMania 34, Cedric Alexander defeated Mustafa Ali to become the new Cruiserweight Champion in a tournament final. It was a well received story and with things going as well as they did, it was decided to do it again this year. Now the tournament is over and we have a new #1 contender to Buddy Murphy’s Cruiserweight Title at WrestleMania 35. This week on 205 Live, Tony Nese defeated Alexander to win the #1 contenders tournament and earn the WrestleMania 35 title shot. This year’s tournament featured eight names vying for the shot as opposed to sixteen last year. Rumor: Andrade Cien Almas Reportedly Not Happy With Position In WWE

Can you blame him? Earlier this year, Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega were still down in NXT, where Almas was defending the NXT Title against Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Philadelphia in an instant classic. The call to the main roster came a few months later just after WrestleMania 34, but it hasn’t exactly gone well since then. As it turns out, Almas has noticed what’s been happening. According to a report by Super Luchas by way of Wrestlingnews.co, Almas isn’t happy with his current placement in WWE. Almas was called up to the main roster in early April but didn’t wrestle on SmackDown Live for over a month. In his time on the main roster, he has wrestled less than twenty times on television with no title shots and hasn’t won a match since September 11, when he defeated R-Truth on SmackDown Live. Who Topped 2018’s PWI Female 100?

Was there really another option? The Women’s Revolution has changed wrestling in a variety of ways, with the main focus being on the women of WWE actually looking important after years of being treated as filler or sideshow attractions. Now things have changed considerably for the better, with WWE actually having some of the biggest stars in the world. But who is the best? Pro Wrestling Illustrated has released its annual PWI Female 100 list, ranking the top 100 female wrestlers in the world. The list was topped by current Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, who made her debut back in April at WrestleMania 34. This list ranks names from October 2017-October 2018. Well that’s….different. John Cena has been around WWE for a very long time now. Debuting back in the spring of 2002, Cena has become one of the biggest stars in the company’s history. He’s changed quite a bit over the years, going from a cocky kid to a genuine superstar. His look has changed as well, going a loudmouthed rapper to the All American boy. Well now things have changed again. In a new post on his Twitter, Cena is showing off a very different physique, filled with large veins and a far less muscular chest. After her debut at the Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe was anxious to find out what Ronda Rousey would be doing with the company. After weeks of being called out by John Cena, The Undertaker returned and dominated him at WrestleMania 34 in a squash match. It was not what the WWE Universe had in mind for their match, but that wasn’t what WWE officials had originally planned either.
