It had been previously reported that the WWE would make history one more time at the 2019 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, as the company would crown the inaugural Women’s Tag Team champions on a match of the same name. But who were the victors of this historic match? After a grueling contest, Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Nia Jax and Tamina, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, The IIconics, Naomi and Carmella, and Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to have the honor of being called the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. <p>It is no secret that WWE Superstar Nia Jax and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/the-rock" title="The Rock">The Rock</a></strong> are cousins. The Rock has shown his support to his cousin a number of times before.</p><p>Here’s a relatively older video of The Rock putting over Nia Jax:</p><p>The Rock has stated that Jax has the potential to be the most dominant female athlete in the history of the WWE. Here’s something The Rock wrote along with the video given <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/above/" title="above">above</a></strong> in an Instagram post from December last year:</p><p><em>“She ain’t like most girls. Nikki Bella Teases Sixth Entry In The Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

<p>We noted earlier this week that <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/2017/06/16/possible-change-womens-money-bank-ladder-match/">WWE may have spoiled a six participant</a> in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match for Sunday’s event when they mentioned on Twitter that six women would be in the match.</p><p>Coming off this news, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/nikki-bella" title="Nikki Bella">Nikki Bella</a></strong> posted a new <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/video/" title="video">video</a></strong> to her YouTube channel teasing that she may be the six entrant into that match.</p><p><em>“First ever girl’s match, which, I mean, maybe I’ll fly straight in and you know, be the sixth member, who <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/knows/" title="knows">knows</a></strong>? No, but I really, really, really wish that I could be in Money in the Bank, but, goodness, it makes me so proud of the women in WWE. Every week, every month every year, we just keep breaking more and more barriers and making history and just proving who the women really are at WWE.”</em></p>

Possible Spoiler for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

<p>As seen on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon announced the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match that will see 5-women fighting for a chance to win a briefcase that allows them the opportunity for a shot at the Women’s Championship anytime they want. Those names include Carmella, Tamina, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/becky-lynch" title="Becky Lynch">Becky Lynch</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/natalya" title="Natalya">Natalya</a></strong> and Charlotte.</p><p>Dave Meltzer <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/2017/05/29/backstage-plans-womens-money-bank-ladder-match/">indicated prior to the announcement</a> that the match would see only four competitors because there was expected to be two women matches at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. With the announcement of five competitors, it is very unlikely now that two matches will take place on the card.</p><p><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/bryan/" title="Bryan">Bryan</a></strong> Alvarez suggested on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE may have changed it to five competitors because the winner of the MITB ladder match may cash it in later in the night. This could be the reason why the Women’s championship match isn’t being defend on the card now and the number of competitors was switch from four to five.</p>

Backstage Plans for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

<p>It was previously reported last week via Pro Wrestling <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/sheet/" title="Sheet">Sheet</a></strong> that <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/2017/05/23/wwe-planning-womens-money-bank-match/">WWE has plans to have a first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match</a> at this year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event.</p><p>In an update, Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment the Wrestling Observer Radio that if the company still has plans to have the bout, WWE will setup the match during this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.</p><p>Meltzer said that he expects that only four female competitors will participate in the match. Meltzer also <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/added/" title="added">added</a></strong> that if the match could be switched to five competitors if they decide to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/bring/" title="bring">bring</a></strong> someone up fron NXT. Meltzer did not indicate on who that person could be. We will keep you updated if we hear anything else.</p>

WWE Planning Women’s Money in the Bank Match

<p>WWE has plans for a Women’s Money in the Bank match at next month’s pay-per-view event.</p><p>Pro Wrestling Sheet <a href="http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/womens-money-bank-planned/#.WSSRIWjys2w" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">reports</a> that sources have informed them that the company is planning on having the match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event and are expected to make the announcement over the next couple of <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/weeks/" title="weeks">weeks</a></strong>.
