It had been previously reported that former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez had been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty to these charges in Santa Clara (California) County earlier today. From ESPN: Velasquez, 40, is being charged with attempted murder and 10 other gun-related charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly chased down a man, Harry Goularte — who is being charged with molesting a young relative of Velasquez — and shooting a gun into Goularte’s vehicle, hitting Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has been in jail since Feb. 28 and has been denied bail on three separate occasions. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26, where Geragos is expecting to be able to get witnesses to testify, the attorney said. If the case is not dismissed at that point, he said, it would then go to trial, which could begin before the end of the year. Geragos said the prosecution will not be calling Goula..
According to multiple reports, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, also known as Sunny, caused a car crash last month in which a 75-year-old man died. Police suspect that she was intoxicated during the incident. The Ormand Police Department has released new information which claims that Sytch was driving a 2012 Mercedes when she crashed into the rear of a 2013 Kia Sorento that had been stopped at a stoplight. The Kia then crashed into the back of a 2011 GMC Yukon that was also stopped at the stoplight. Two witnesses stated that Sytch had been “driving at a high rate of speed” before hitting the Kia. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from injuries suffered in the wreck. The officers say Sytch was also transported to the same hospital with unknown injuries. Police say they believed Sytch was under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred. Authorities took a blood sample after the accident, but the results are still pending. It’s a different kind of promo. Talking is one of the most import important parts of a wrestler’s presentation, as the fans need a reason to care about who they are seeing. Working in the ring is important, but you need to make the fans care, which is why promos can be so memorable. A good talker can mean a lot in wrestling, and now one of the more famous ones got to talk in another way. Wrestling personality Johnny Fairplay and promoter Ron Gossett appeared on the Judge Steve Harvey Show, with Fairplay attempting to college $5,000 in unpaid appearance fees. New WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner appeared as a surprise witness for Gossett, saying he had been paid in full for working on one of Gossett’s shows. Steiner also threatened to beat up Fairplay and offered to wrestle him for the money. Fairplay wound up winning the case and was awarded the fee. This is the second time wrestlers have appeared on the show, after JJ Dillon and Kevin Sullivan were on the show earlier this week. Ok, ..
That takes care of things. Wrestling fans watch their favorite, and sometimes not so favorite, stars on TV on a regular basis. It can be easy to forget that we are watching real people get in the ring every so often. These people have real life situations going on outside of the ring and no one of the most serious issues has been wrapped up in a bit of a surprise. According to PWInsider.com, former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron’s sexual assault charges were dismissed on Friday and the case is officially closed. A witness was said to be missing, meaning that El Patron is cleared of all liability in the situation. The trial was scheduled to have begun on Monday. El Patron has been regularly wrestling for a variety of promotions in Mexico over the last few months. This is a bit of a touchy situation so we’ll try something else. Here is a different Albert in action: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click ..

You have to start somewhere. Back in 2002, the wrestling world was in a very different place. WWE was now the lone major promotion in the North American wrestling scene, but some new challengers were approaching. We haven’t even got to witness ‘WrestleMania 34‘ yet, but it is now being heavily reported by websites such as WrestlingInc and The Inquisitr that we may know the main event for ‘WrestleMania 35.’ It appears the main event for ‘WrestleMania 34’ is set on Brock Lesnar defending his WWE Universal Championship against Elimination Chamber victor Roman Reigns, in a match billed as three years in the making.
Ryback opens today’s show by revealing whether he misses being on the road with WWE full time. He says that sometimes he misses the live events and the guys who he developed relationships with, but he doesn’t miss television tapings and all the ‘shit’ that comes along with being on the road 300 days a year.

He says that last week’s show made some headlines due to his recollection of a backstage scenario featuring Tyler Breeze. Some people questioned the legitimacy of Ryback’s claims, but he says that he was there in person when Vince McMahon witnessed Breeze leaving an arena early, and Breeze’s stock within WWE immediately plummeted after that.

Nonetheless, he likes what WWE is doing with Breezango right now as they continue to produce entertaining segments every week. He’s still confused by the fact that Tyler Breeze is wearing a dress every week now, but he assumes that someone backstage at WWE gets their kicks from seeing Breeze in a dress.

Ryback says he loved the Rap Battle on Smackdown Live last week between The Usos and The New Day. He says that these types of segments are what have been missing from WWE programming lately, and the ‘R rating’ line in particular proves that anything can happen on WWE programming, similar to how fans felt about the product during the attitude era.

The witness who saw the altercation between Paige and Alberto Del Rio recent spoke to Heavy.com regarding the situation. Here are a few notes from what actually transpired:

– The witness admits to discreetly attempting to take pictures of Paige as she walked and talked on the phone until she was noticed. Paige walked back into the restaurant and one of the four people at her table walked out, presumably to see if she was still there.

– Paige came storming back out of the restaurant “crying and yelling.” Del Rio, visibly “soaked” in liquid, chased after her as she fled onto the nearby tram system. Page told Del Rio, ‘You’re such an abusive husband, I hate you. You’ve ruined my life, you’ve ruined my career’” Del Rio and Paige continued their argument for a short while on the tram car as Del Rio said, “Check her bag, she’s got all the coke in it, it’s all hers.” This is when the witness started recording the audio.

– “Let’s do it, get the cops,” Del Rio can be heard saying in the video. Paige responds by saying, “Just stay out of my life, leave me the f**k alone, I’m trying to get away from you.” This is when Del Rio started claiming that Paige assaulted him.

– The witness believed the argument between the pair started because Del Rio said inflammatory comments about one of Paige’s family members.

“From what I gather, he said something like, ‘I hope your f***ing uncle dies tomorrow, and grabs her wrist because he was mad she was on the phone for so long,” said the witness. “They wanted to leave, so he got mad and grabbed her wrist. She got upset and threw water on him and she ran out.”

After the audio stopped recording, the witness said that she stayed along with Paige and asked if she needs any assistance.

“I just wanted to help at that point,” she said, noting that an airport security guard with a K-9 stopped Del Rio “because they could smell the alcohol.”
