Monday Night Raw Results – January 23, 2023 (Raw XXX)

Monday Night Raw Date: January 23, 2023 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Corey Graves, Kevin Patrick It’s Raw XXX as the company celebrates thirty years on the air. As usual with the big Raw milestone episodes, we’ll be seeing a bunch of legends for special appearances. In addition, there are two title matches and a cage match so the card is stacked. If that isn’t enough, it’s the go home show for the Royal Rumble so let’s get to it. Here are Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart to get things going. Hogan talks about Raw debuting in 1993, pauses because the mic doesn’t work, praises the Philadelphia Eagles and is all done. We look at some of the cities the show has taken place in over the years before switching into the big highlight package. The hit a lot of the big names, including a bunch of AEW names, debuts, title changes, reveals and almost anything else you could want. Here is the Bloodline with their long form entrance for the Trial Of Sami Zayn. ..

Monday Night Raw Results – December 19, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: December 19, 2022 Location: Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, Iowa Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves It’s the last show before Christmas and possibly the last show of the year depending on what they do next week. There is still a lot of time before the Royal Rumble but we have another big match coming up on December 30. John Cena is on his way back to WWE and that should have some people talking. Let’s get to it. Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns are here, with Reigns saying he is around here to deal with Kevin Owens. Reigns has been dealing with Owens and now he has to take care of John Cena again. Now, he is going to torture Owens until Raw acknowledges the Bloodline. We cut to the rest of the Bloodline beating down Mustafa Ali. Opening sequence. Street Profits vs. Judgment Day Finn Balor/Damien Priest for the team here, with their friends and Akira Tozawa at ringside too. Ford goes nuts on Priest to start but gets sent into the corner. We go split screen ..

Extreme Rules 2022 Results

Extreme Rules 2022 Date: October 8, 2022 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves We’re back with the violent pay per view and in this case the card might be able to live up to that hype. There is a different, or mostly different, gimmick to every match on the card and some of them could get rather violent. In addition, we find out who the White Rabbit is tonight and that could be a huge moment. Let’s get to it. The opening video is narrated by Paul Heyman and features a boy in a spelling bee, trying to spell EXTREME. He asks for the definitions, with Heyman talking about what it means for tonight. Imperium vs. Brawling Brutes This is a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook, meaning street fight with some props at ringside. It’s a brawl to start, as it should be, with everyone pairing off in and around the ring. Kaiser is tied in the Tree of Woe for a running dropkick but the rest of Imperium comes over for the save. Everyone goes for..

Catch Him When You Can: Update On Roman Reigns’ Future WWE Appearances

It might be a little while. There are some very talented wrestlers in WWE today but it takes something special to turn them into major stars. You know a major star when you see one and that is what WWE has on their hands with Roman Reigns. Unfortunately Reigns is not around very often due to his new contract, which will be more obvious in the upcoming months. WWE has released the official poster for Extreme Rules on October 8 and Reigns is not included, nor is he advertised on WWE.com’s page for the show. Included on the poster are Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Riddle and Rhea Ripley. Reigns has only wrestled infrequently on pay per view this year, with his most recent taking place at WrestleMania Backlash in May. #ExtremeRules is headed to @WellsFargoCtr on October 8! Monday Night Raw Results – May 30, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: May 30, 2022 Location: Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, Iowa Commentators: Byron Saxton, Corey Graves, Jimmy Smith It’s the go home show for Hell In A Cell and there are four matches announced for the card. I’m not sure what they are waiting for with adding on more matches, but you have to think that something takes place this week. However, it is also Memorial Day, meaning there is a good chance that very little is going to happen here. Let’s get to it. Here is Becky Lynch to get things going. She hasn’t been out here to start things off in a bit and she knows the people here are glad she has lost everything. Lynch doesn’t care what these people think, because she collects enemies. We flash back to Money in the Bank 2020, with Asuka winning the briefcase. Then Lynch handed her the Raw Women’s Title because she had to go become a mother. That made Asuka a selfish monster….and here is Asuka to interrupt. She mocks Becky for being a baby and promises to win the ti..

REVIEW: Elimination Chamber 2020: Open Up

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Elimination Chamber 2020 Date: March 8, 2020 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Jerry Lawler, Byron Saxton, Tom Phillips It’s time for the show the company mostly forgot until the last second. Thanks to being sandwiched between Super ShowDown and Wrestlemania, this is a show that has received very little attention and the build has suffered as a result. Neither World Champion is involved here and the likely main event is a #1 contenders match to the R..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – January 10, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: January 10, 2022 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We are less than three weeks away from the Royal Rumble and the show is starting to come together. It seems that we have a pair of World Title matches and a good number of names set for both Royal Rumble matches. There are still some things that need to be done though and some of that should be taken care of tonight. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Brock Lesnar becoming WWE Champion at Day One and Bobby Lashley becoming #1 contender last week. Here are Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, with Bobby Lashley and MVP watching backstage. The Hurt Business comes up to Lashley and are glad to have the team back together. Lashley says not so fast because he works alone, with MVP nodding in agreement. Back in the arena, Heyman does the intro and Lesnar is happy to be here. Cue Lashley and MVP to interrupt and the staredowns are on. MVP ha..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – September 24, 2021

Smackdown Date: September 24, 2021 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s the go home show for Extreme Rules, which is mostly minus the extreme. The one stipulation confirmed so far has been Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor in an Extreme Rules match, though maybe we can get some more added this week. There is also an Intercontinental Title match scheduled so let’s get to it. Here is Becky Lynch to get things going and we see a clip of her interrupting Bianca Belair’s homecoming last week. Becky talks about how much fun she had last week and wonders where her celebration is. She never lost the Women’s Title, then came back less than a year after having a child and won the title in record time. Last week, Becky tried to come out and offer Belair a handshake but she wouldn’t let go of Becky’s hand. What choice did she really have? Becky wanted to give Belair time, but then she was goaded into a rematch at Extreme Rules, so what c..

REVIEW: Extreme Rules 2019: Becky And Brock And Brock And Becky

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Extreme Rules 2019 Date: July 14, 2019 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves, Michael Cole, Renee Young We’re finally wrapping up a long stretch with what feels like a show from one company or another every week for months. This is a show built around violence and a full three matches out of the twelve have some form of gimmick that includes violence. The card doesn’t look bad though and hopefully it works out. Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show..

WATCH: Seth Rollins vs. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar From Royal Rumble 2015

Starting off the year with quite possibly the match of the year. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which the show the full match between Seth Rollins, John Cena and Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from the Royal Rumble 2015. You can see the match in its entirety below: From WWE.com: In front of a raucous Philadelphia crowd packed inside the Wells Fargo Center, Brock Lesnar turned back the challenge of both John Cena and Seth Rollins to walk out of the 2015 Royal Rumble event with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Despite suffering from injuries — including a broken rib at the hands of Rollins — Lesnar picked up a massive victory in one of the most impressive championship bouts in the history of the Royal Rumble event, ensuring that he’ll traverse The Road to WrestleMania as the ruler of the WWE Universe. After Rollins hit Cena with a Curb Stomp and yet another huge aerial attack, Lesnar stormed the ring and German suplexed both of ..

Elimination Chamber 2020 Live Coverage And Results

Elimination Chamber 2020 Date: March 8, 2020 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Jerry Lawler, Byron Saxton, Tom Phillips It’s time for the show the company mostly forgot until the last second. Thanks to being sandwiched between Super ShowDown and Wrestlemania, this is a show that has received very little attention and the build has suffered as a result. Neither World Champion is involved here and the likely main event is a #1 contenders match to the Raw Women’s Title. Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: Viking Raiders vs. Zack Ryder/Curt Hawkins Ryder and Ivar start things off and it’s an early power display from Ivar, who throws Ryder all over the place. Hawkins comes in and gets the same treatment but a cheap shot from the apron lets Hawkins grab a suplex for two. Hawkins’ neckbreaker gets the same and we hit the chinlock. That doesn’t last long so Erik gets sent outside for a clothesline from the apron and we take a break..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – April 22, 2019

Monday Night Raw Date: April 22, 2019 Location: Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, Iowa Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Renee Young It’s kind of a new world around here as we have the first show with all the new talent brought over in the Superstar Shakeup. That could be a good or a bad thing, but given how many changes they’ve managed to make since the Shakeup took place, your guess is as good as mine about what they’re doing here. Let’s get to it. Tonight it’s a pair of triple threat matches with the winners facing off later in the night for the #1 contendership to the Universal Title. Here’s HHH to open things up but before he can say anything, Universal Champion Seth Rollins (the hometown boy) joins him. We get a quick hug before Rollins gets to soak in the cheers. Rollins talks about everything he’s been through in recent weeks, including stomping Brock Lesnar’s bucket head three times at Wrestlemania. HHH seems impressed but we pause for a BURN IT DOWN chant. The landsc..

The New Plans. Venue Announces Updated Extreme Rules Lineup After Superstar Shakeup, Universal Title Match Included

It’s never too early to start planning ahead. Things are very different in WWE after last week’s Superstar Shakeup. The rosters have been switched around quite a bit and it’s not clear where things are going to be going in the next few weeks as people start to find their new footing. What might be clear though is where things are going in about three months on a certain night. The website of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia is advertising three matches for the July 14 Extreme Rules pay per view. Now listed for the show are AJ Styles vs. Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton and Seth Rollins defending the Universal Championship against Baron Corbin. These early cards are of course subject to change. The venue had already announced matches for the show but these now reflect the reset rosters. Could this set up a title match? Check out Rollins yelling at Corbin last year: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised as WWE is going to push ..

Main Event Results – March 7, 2019

Main Event Date: March 7, 2019 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Byron Saxton, Renee Young, Percy Watson Things started happening in a hurry last week as WWE suddenly remembered that they needed to set up Fastlane outside of the big matches. That made for some eventful stuff this week and hopefully that translates to this show as well. I’m not sure if I should believe that to be the case or not, but you have to have hope. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Apollo Crews vs. EC3 Rematch from last week. EC3 takes him down with a quickly broken headlock as Crews fights up with a dropkick and armdrag. Crews gets stomped down in the corner for a bit and we hit the reverse chinlock. A clothesline cuts off Crews’ comeback but Crews gets in one of his own. That’s enough to head up top, only to get crotched back down. The 1%er finishes Crews at 5:25. Result: EC3 b. Apollo Crews – 1%er (5:25) From Raw. Here’s Roman Reigns to open things up to another sol..
