It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of injuries that can slow a wrestler down out of nowhere and unfortunately there is very little that can be done to prevent them. First Match Set For Forbidden Door

The door is beginning to open. On tonight’s episode of Dynamite, we may have gotten a glimpse of the first match set for the upcoming AEW/NJPW crossover event, “Forbidden Door.” In the opening match of the show, CM Punk and FTR defeated the team of Max Caster and The Gunn Club. After the match, Punk cut a promo saying that it was time to begin selling the upcoming pay-per-view. He then issued an open challenge to anybody from NJPW to face him at the show. This brought out 8-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi, who seems to have accepted the challenge and will face Punk at Forbidden Door. Editor’s Opinion: A lot of people think that it was going to be either Okada or maybe Jay White that would be facing Punk, but Tanahashi is an excellent choice. Widely regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers of all time, this clash of styles should make for an outstanding mean event in a great way to sell the show. I’m looking forward to seeing these two warriors go at it! ..

LOOK: Another Special WrestleMania Entrance Was Cut From The Show

What could have been. WrestleMania has been the biggest wrestling event of the year for the better part of forty years now and that seems likely to be the case for a long time to come. Everyone seems to be working especially hard and showcasing everything that they can do, which can include all kinds of special features. That was to be the case with someone else this year, but it did not wind up happening. One of the matches on WrestleMania 38 Night One saw Drew McIntyre defeat Happy Corbin. A photo has been posted to Instagram, showing a group of men in kilts backstage at AT&T Stadium. The caption says that the group, called the Kilted Warriors, were supposed to accompany McIntyre to the ring but the entrance was canceled. This was not the only thing canceled on the show, as a match between the New Day and Ridge Holland/Sheamus was moved to the second night due to time constraints. A Lot Happened Before And After This Week’s SmackDown

It was a busy night. WWE has a lot of programming to offer every single week and it can be quite a bit. Sometimes it is hard to remember everything that is going on, which is not often the best way to go. There is not much of another way around it though, as there are so many wrestlers that sometimes WWE needs to use that much time. This week, they needed even more time than usual. According to Wrestling Inc., there were three non-televised dark matches during this week’s WWE SmackDown taping. Prior to the show, there were two NXT matches, as Johnny Gargano defeated Kyle O’Reilly and Amari Miller defeated Dakota Kai. After the show went off the air, Drew McIntyre and the Viking Raiders defeated the Bloodline. Of the six SmackDown wrestlers, only Jey Uso and Roman Reigns of the Bloodline did not wrestle twice on the night. Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – October 11, 2021

Monday Night Raw Date: October 11, 2021 Location: Chase Center, San Francisco, California Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We’re less than two weeks away from Crown Jewel and last week, Smackdown added a Hell in the Cell match to the card. That could mean Raw needs to add a huge match of its own, but you never can tell with these things. Hopefully this show can add a nice feeling to the Queen’s Crown Tournament, as the Smackdown matches were nearly insulting last week. Let’s get to it. Here is Drew McIntyre, with his sword, to get things going. He thinks it’s a fun idea that the Scottish Warrior is kicking it off in the home of the Warriors and welcomes us to the show. Drew runs down the Crown Jewel card and says he’ll be winning the WWE Title in the match everyone is going to be talking about. McIntyre has a story from earlier today but here is Big E. to interrupt. Big E. talks about the sweet nectar of being champion dripping down his chin and between his nipp..

WATCH: John Cena vs. CM Punk From SummerSlam 2011

The WWE Champion vs. the WWE Champion. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between John Cena and CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship from SummerSlam 2011. You can see the video in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: There were several near-falls in this competitive clash after both ring warriors punished one another with their signature maneuvers, but The Second City Savior ultimately nailed The Cenation Commander-in-Chief with a second Go to Sleep to pick up the pinfall victory – even though Cena’s foot was on the bottom rope. Apparently not noticing that Cena had broken the hold by reaching the ropes, The Game made the three-count. Following weeks of escalating animosity between Cena and Punk – two Superstars who couldn’t possibly be more different from one another in terms of in-ring style and personal ideals – the simultaneous WWE Title holders gave it their all as they vied to bec..

Another New WrestleMania Title Match Confirmed

Now that it’s official. With less than five days before WrestleMania 36 and the event already taped in advance, you might think that the card was ready to go. As tends to be the case though, WWE knows how to make their biggest card of the year even bigger and that was the case this week. Most of the show had already been announced but there was room for at least one more. There have been a lot of matches set up over the last few months but not all of them have been confirmed for WrestleMania. There are so many things to cover in such a short amount of time that something is going to have to be left until the end. That isn’t a knock on the match, but it does show you how much is going on. We now know what that last match will be, at least on the Monday Night raw side. During this week’s Monday Night Raw, a Women’s Tag Team Title match was confirmed for WrestleMania, as the Kabuki Warriors will be defending the titles against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. This match has been teased for ..

Smackdown Date: March 13, 2020 Location: WWE Performance Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Michael Cole, HHH Welcome to what might be the norm for a long time to come as we’re at the Performance Center with no fans in attendance. That’s going to be interesting as we’re building towards Wrestlemania at the same time, even though there’s a very good chance the show won’t be happening. Let’s get to it. HHH welcomes us to the show and explains that we’re in the Performance Center. The wrestlers trained here and tonight they’re here to perform. Opening sequence. Bayley says get a referee out here. Alexa Bliss/Nikki Cross vs. Bayl..

VIDEO: Next Up. WWE Champions Issue Challenge For Title Match.

I guess the winners get to pick what’s next for them. Clash Of Champions was, as you might have guessed, all about titles. There are a lot of titles in WWE and therefore there are a lot of champions that go with them. Some of the champions did better than others on Sunday and some of the winners aren’t wasting time in finding themselves some new challengers. In a new video posted to the WWE’s YouTube page after Clash Of Champions, Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross challenge the IIconics to come after the titles. Cross and Bliss defeated the IIconics to become champions on August 5, though the match was a four way also involving Fire & Desire and the Kabuki Warriors. The champions went on to retain the titles against the IIconics at Summerslam. The champs know what they want next. This Is Amazing. Thirty Year Old Never Before Seen WCW Nintendo Game Discovered

It’s not exactly 2K. Wrestling and video games go hand in hand like mittens in mittens. Fans are going to want to play a game as their favorite wrestlers that they see on TV and that makes for a long list of combinations. Today’s games have more details than you could ever possibly complete but that wasn’t always the case. As it turns out, there’s a brand new way to see what wrestling games used to be like. According to a new article on WWE.com, YouTuber Archon1981 recently purchased a review copy of an unreleased WCW video game for the original Nintendo Entertainment System, dated from 1989. The game is titled UWC, which likely means Universal Wrestling Corporation, which served as the original name for World Championship Wrestling when Ted Turner bought the company in 1987. Some names included were the Road Warriors, Sting, Ric Flair, Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane. Like any video game, there is a way to see the game. Check out some game play footage: [This post contains video, click t..

Road Warrior Animal Slams Becky Lynch, Lynch Responds In A Funny Way

When generations collide. Back in the late 1980s, almost no one was as over as the Road Warriors. Later known as the Legion of Doom, Hawk and Animal were two of the most imposing in and at times downright scary people you would ever see in wrestling. After all, there’s a reason the huge pops are known as Road Warrior pops. However, some things have changed since their day and Animal doesn’t quite seem to agree. On a recent episode of his What A Rush podcast, Animal was talking about the Women’s Revolution and Becky Lynch in particular. The discussion began focusing on Lynch’s The Man moniker and Animal wasn’t exactly a fan. Animal talked about how unrealistic the gimmick was and how wrestling needs to be as realistic as possible. Lynch quickly replied on Twitter and didn’t seem to agree. Here are Animal’s comments (with transcription courtesy of stillrealtous.com), followed by Lynch’s reply: “I would let her back off of ‘The Man’ thing and let her just be a pure white meat babyface t..

Road Warrior Animal Feels That Today's Wrestlers Are Overly Scripted, And Recalls The First Time He Met Andre The Giant

Road Warrior Animal gives his take on why today's group of wrestlers have such a hard time getting over. WWE Hall Of Famer and former three-time WWE Tag Team Champion Road Warrior Animal recently joined "The Ride With JMV" podcast to discuss his run in WWE alongside Road Warrior Hawk as 'The Road Warriors'. Throughout their years Animal and Hawk had the opportunity to work with some of the most well-known names in the sport of professional wrestling. One of the names who has been in many of headlines recently because of the documentary that is based on him is "The Eighth Wonder Of The World" Andre The Giant. Animal recalled the time when he, Hawk, and their then-manger Paul Ellering were in Japan and they got their first glance at the mythical-like man that was Andre The Giant. "No, I haven’t got a chance to watch it [The ‘Andre The Giant’ documentary]. You know its funny the first time I met Andre; we were in Tokyo, Japan and we go by that little club that…. There’s ..

The Ross Report Recap w/ Paul Ellering – Returning to NXT, Partnering with The Road Warriors, Extreme Rules Stipulation A Rib? More!

<p>Ross thought the two main events on RAW this week delivered, and did a good job of building towards the Fatal 5-way at Extreme Rules next Sunday. He says that this is a difficult time of year for WWE as they’re still in the shadows of WrestleMania but are also a long way from SummerSlam.</p><p>With Summer on the horizon, weather is improving and there are a lot of distractions for fans. WWE needs to do their best to keep fans interested and watching through these difficult months.</p><p>Ross finds it very interesting that India has become such a hotbed for professional wrestling all of a sudden. IMPACT are currently conducting television tapings there, and ROH have been recently approved for television clearance there. WWE’s new Champion is Jinder Mahal and they’re doing their best to build their infrastructure and brand there as well. Ross says that it’s possible for all these promotions to have success in this market, but there’s no denying that WWE holds a distinct advantage in most new markets they enter.</p><p></p><p>He says that he’s looking forward to the Fatal 5-way match which will take place at Extreme Rules this coming Sunday. He thinks that WWE has booked the build-up to this match well, because you can make the case that any of the five superstars has a legitimate chance to win.</p><p>Ross wonders how WWE came up with the idea to have a ‘kendo stick on a pole match’, and he suggests that this might have been a backstage rib on someone. In spite of this stipulation, Ross thinks that Bliss and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/bayley" title="Bayley">Bayley</a></strong> are both very special, and if they’re both on the same page he thinks they can put together a great match.</p><p>He thinks the sleeper match of the evening will be the submission match between <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/neville" title="Neville">Neville</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong>. Both of these talents are terrific, and Ross thinks this match would be a good candidate to open the show while the crowd is hot and ready for a great match.</p>
