Fair Thee Well: Longtime Wrestling Couple Announces Split

They seem to be available. There are only a handful of wrestling relationships that tend to work long term. Sometimes you see a pair of wrestlers who can make a romantic relationship last, but the ones that do tend to make for some rather well known pairings. Now it seems that one of those pairings has called it quits after a good number of years together. Velvet Sky and Bully Ray have announced via Twitter that they have amicably agreed to split up. Both sent out tweets saying the same thing, with only their names being swapped out. They also said that this will be the only public comment either will make on the breakup. Velvet Sky Announces Retirement

<p>Former Knockout Velvet Sky has retired from professional wrestling, according to <a href="http://wnpr.org/post/retired-pro-wrestler-velvet-sky-comes-home-connecticut-go-back-school" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WNPR in Connecticut</a>.</p><p>Velvet Sky announced that she has retired and she is back in school at Post University to finish up the college degree that she put on hold to pursue her wrestling career. Velvet apparently wants to be a personal trainer and is working with the next generation at a wrestling school in Danbury, CT.</p>

This is newsworthy because it’s very rare that Punk <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/makes/" title="makes">makes</a></strong> public appearances alongside other members of the wrestling industry. Punk has repeatedly stated in past interviews that he doesn’t intend to associate himself with the pro-wrestling business anymore.</p>
