REPORT: Injury Update for Cody Rhodes WWE Return Before Royal Rumble

Since the now infamous Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes back in June, the WWE Universe continues to wait for Cody’s return. All indications were that Cody would have been challenging Roman Reigns by SummerSlam. However, the torn pectoral muscle took him out of the game until next year. The general consensus on the rumor mill is that Cody Rhodes is expected back for the Royal Rumble in January. That’s about six months of recovery time for him. The expectation if that happens is that Cody would win the match and main event WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns. People are counting on that, but it’s been a minute since we had an update. How WWE’s Saudi Arabian Events Have Handily Surpassed WrestleMania

That’s a big difference. The wrestling world has changed quite a bit over the years and some of those changes have been very positive. It is interesting to see where things go year to year, but some of the differences are so staggering that it is almost a different universe. Now a rather important aspect of WWE’s financial status has undergone quite the change. According to Wrestlenomics, the eight WWE Saudi Arabia events have generated $400 million for the company. By comparison, adjusted for inflation, ticket sales for all 38 WrestleManias combined have generated about $250 million. WWE began running two events in Saudi Arabia annually (one each in 2020 and 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic) in 2018. 39 Year Old Former WWE Star Wants Third Stint With Company

He wants back in. There have been a lot of stars to appear in WWE over the decades and some of them have made quite the impact. Whether or not they were major successes in the company, they have done something to get the fans’ attention. Some of those stars leave over the years, but that does not mean their time in WWE is over. One former star is now hoping for a third run with the promotion. Former WWE star Chris Masters, 39 years old, has sent out a tweet mentioning the 2023 Royal Rumble and saying that he has been away from WWE for twelve years. The image includes a fan sign saying BRING CHRIS MASTERS BACK. Masters wrestled two stints in WWE over the years, from 2005-2007 and 2009-2011. Welcome aboard. Wrestling is a weird universe when it comes to mainstream recognition as it exists in its own very firm bubble. You are either in the wrestling world or not and it is an industry that is often looked down upon as a result. It can be fun to see someone well known for something outside of wrestling get involved and that might have been the case again this weekend. WWE held its annual Summerslam event over the weekend and as usual it was one of their biggest shows of the year. Actress Kat Dennings, best known for her roles in the Thor movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Two Broke Girls tweeted about the show, saying that it was her first Summerslam and made her feel unwell. Amongst them was that Triple H will now be overseeing all creative duties within the company. Whether you like him or not, McMahon has been the force in wrestling for well over twenty years now and anything he says or does can change the industry as a whole.
