Gillberg Talks Possible Match With Goldberg: “I’ll Bust Him Up”

He’s not next. There are very few wrestlers in history who have made the kind of impact that Goldberg made at the start of his career. After a rather successful football career, Goldberg would go on to become a huge star in wrestling. Goldberg was best known for his undefeated streak where he beat all comers for over a year, but it turns out there was one name he refused to face during his career. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Comeback: Triple H Posts Photo With Celebrity WWE Star During Goldberg’s popularity in WCW, the WWF created a parody character called Gillberg, portrayed by Duane Gill, a much smaller wrestler. Gill recently appeared on the Cafe de Rene podcast and talked about his time as Gillberg. Gill claims that he approached Goldberg about a match between the two of them, but Goldberg turned him down every time. According to a joking Gill, Goldberg was afraid to face him in the ring. It was a funny statement. Check out the clip plus both of them in the ring: [This post contains..

WATCH: Jade Cargill Shows Off Her Workout Routine On The Sherri Show

She would know. Wrestlers have to do a lot of things to stay at the top of their game and one of the most important is staying in shape. That can be easier said than done as they have to be on the road so often, which can make it difficult to stay in shape. There are certain ways to make it easier though and a top AEW star was explaining some of those things things week. AEW TBS Champion jade Cargill appeared on the Sherri Show and discussed a variety of workout tips while demonstrating some of her fitness regimen. Cargill also mentioned being the first African-American woman to be on the cover of a video game and that she was still undefeated. Hand It Over: Title Change Takes Place On WWE SmackDown

History has been made! There are a lot of titles under the WWE banner and some of them have been around for a very long time. Those titles are the ones that can kick start a wrestler’s rise to the top and the Intercontinental Title has a history of doing just that. The title might not have a perfect record, but winning it can be a great sign. That might be the case again. This week on SmackDown, Gunther defeated Ricochet to win the Intercontinental Title for the first time in his career. Gunther debuted on SmackDown in April and has gone undefeated since then, with his match against Ricochet being his first title shot. This comes amid reports of WWE higher ups, including Vince McMahon himself, being impressed with Gunther’s work so far. Opinion: This is a nice thing to see as Gunther feels like someone who could be different. You don’t get a monster like him very often and the fact that WWE is willing to give him the title before he has had the chance to undergo one of the company’s ..

Someone has caught their eye. WWE has made a lot of changes in recent years and a lot of them involve their roster. Some things have been more severe than others, including WWE releasing well over a hundred wrestlers from the company in the last year and a half. That means WWE is going to need to fill in some spots on its roster, and now they might have someone else that they want to take one such spot. According to the Mat Men Podcast, WWE is interested in signing AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill. The company has been impressed by what they have seen Cargill do on television. There is no word on when Cargill’s current AEW contract expired, though she made her debut on the November 11, 2020 edition of Dynamite. Cargill is currently undefeated and the inaugural TBS Champion. There is a lot to it. Now he is back, and believe it or not, he has something to say about what is happening in WWE. Punk was recently interviewed by Josh Martinez and spoke about what he described as the WWE booking formula. The shelves have been greatly depleted in a near record time, but that at some point some new wrestlers are going to be brought in. Backstage News WWE Power Struggle Over NXT Failures

That explains a lot. There have been a lot of changes and shakeups taking place in WWE in recent weeks and a lot of them have been related to NXT. It seems that WWE is not thrilled with the way NXT has been put together and now things have been shaken up more than ever. Someone has to be the target of that and now we know not just who that is, but why they are taking the blame. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H is being blamed for NXT’s failure in the Wednesday Night Wars against AEW Dynamite. This is said to be part of a power struggle between Triple H and various unnamed detractors who are scared for their future in WWE if Triple H gains power. Details On Rey Mysterio’s Retirement Ceremony

That sounds important. At some point, every wrestler has to hang up their boots for good. It might not seem like something that will happen to everyone, but as the saying goes, Father Time is undefeated. No matter how good a wrestler may be, they are going to walk away at some point. That seems to be the case with a certain top WWE name, but it might not be happening as advertised. There may never be a more popular or successful masked wrestler than Rey Mysterio. He has been around for over twenty five years now and is a multiple time WWE World Champion. His style revolutionized wrestling and has inspired countless wrestlers over the next generation. Mysterio will have to retire at some day as well and WWE is advertising it for next week. Hold on a second though. WWE has announced that Seth Rollins will be hosting Mysterio’s retirement ceremony. This comes after Rollins attacked Mysterio two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, causing him to move into retirement. Mysterio has not been see..

This was the first time that they had competed against one another since The Beast ended The Deadman’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania 16 months before. You can see the match in its entirety below: From WWE.com: The record will show that The Beast has been slain, and the demons of The Undertaker have been laid to rest. The reality, though, is more complicated than that. Sixteen months after The Phenom’s life’s work was taken from him by Brock Lesnar, The Deadman found redemption in a confrontation that was deemed “Too Big For WrestleMania.” He defeated The Beast Incarnate through a development that was partially a gift from Heaven and partially some magic of the devil himself, with a hefty helping of rulebook jargon to go with it. Officially, yes, The Undertaker won. Whether Brock Lesnar was truly defeated in ..
