Earlier this week, it was reported by F4WOnline.com that Kevin Owens tweaked his knee during a WWE live event in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend. The belief was that the injury was an MCL sprain,. However, Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Kevin Owens will be part of the Survivor Series WarGames match. CageSideSeats reported this morning that Owens is rehabbing his knee at the WWE Performance Center and was consulted by WWE doctors on Monday. AEW reportedly films several of their backstage segments in advance rather than live in an effort to reduce travel costs. If a wrestler is only going to be at an event for a short backstage segment, it will be filmed in advance rather than bringing someone in for a full day. For example, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland’s backstage segment in Cincinnati was filmed in Toronto the previous week to avoid bringing in Lee and Strickland for a brief moment of filming. That really doesn’t sound good. Injuries are among the worse things that you will ever see in wrestling and unfortunately you never know what kind might take place. Some of them are a lot more serious than others and can put a wrestler on the shelf for a very long time. That seems to be the case with a top AEW star and it seems that things might be even worse than they seem. AEW’s Adam Cole suffered a concussion at Forbidden Door on June 26 and has not wrestled since. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Cole’s concussion was described as being “really bad” and there is no word on when, or if, Cole will ever be able to wrestle again. WWE held a press conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, officially announcing that Logan Paul will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in the main event of Crown Jewel on November 5.
