Mark your calendars. WWE is quite the international wrestling promotion and runs major events in different countries around the world. Most of these take place fairly at random, but there are two that you can pencil in just about every year. Those would be the two events that take place in Saudi Arabia every year, and now we might know some more about the next one. This is Memorial day weekend, which is when AEW normally holds its Double Or Nothing event, though this year’s edition has not yet been announced. There have been some great King Of The Ring mome..
Mark your calendars. On average, WWE runs one Premium Live Event a month and you can usually pencil in a lot of the events. Some shows have been run n the same months for years now and there is nothing to suggest that they will be changing anytime soon. Occasionally you will see something else slip in though and that might be the case with a returning event. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Maybe? WWE has not yet announced either show. Backlash, which has been called WrestleMania Backlash in recent years, is regularly the next major event after WrestleMania. King Of The Ring has been held on and off for several years, though it has only been a stand alone event once since 2002. Queen Of The Ring has never been held, though WWE did hold a Queen’s Crown tournament in 202..
Smackdown Date: February 3, 2023 Location: Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville, South Carolina Commentators: Wade Barrett, Michael Cole We’re done with the Royal Rumble and the main event of Wrestlemania is set. That being said, there is a Sami Zayn sized road block on the Road To Wrestlemania and I’m not sure how they are going to deal with it. You can almost guarantee Zayn is getting the Elimination Chamber title shot, but dang it’s going to be a fun right on the way there. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Sami Zayn finally turning on the Bloodline with a chair shot to Roman Reigns, but Jey Uso couldn’t bring himself to help with the ensuing beatdown. The Bloodline, minus Jey Uso, and everyone but Paul Heyman ignores questions about Jey. Heyman says they cannon confirm or deny Jey’s Bloodline status at the moment. Opening sequence. Other than that, we start the #1 contenders tag team tournament. Let’s get to it. He’ll catch you next time. Next week, WWE is presenting its Raw XXX special, honoring thirty years of Monday Night Raw being on the air. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Complicated: Speculation Over Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania Plans, Why He Could Be A Problem WWE legend Tatanka has announced that he will not be appearing at Raw XXX despite being scheduled for the show. Tatanka said that while WWE contacted him five weeks ago, his son’s wrestling team qualified for the state tournament and he will be attending the competition instead of coming to the show. Tatanka wrestled for WWE in two stints, from 1991-1996 and 2005-2007, while making various one off appearances since. Even though @WWE contacted me 5 weeks ago, I will not be attending the 30th Annive..
That would be a change. Titles have been a gigantic part of WWE since the company was founded. There are several titles in the company and some of them are among the most prestigious in all of wrestling. It means something for a wrestler to hold one of them, but now there are some wrestlers who are holding two at a time. That might be changing sooner rather than later. That could be bad. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen in wrestling. Not only do they put a wrestler on the shelf for an undetermined period of time, but they also can happen out of nowhere. Some injuries are built up over time and then flare up during a match, which appears to have been the case with a national star who was appearing for a major independent show. Another one for the history books. This past Sunday at NXT Deadline, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods captured the NXT tag team championships by defeating Pretty Deadly. While this was a great moment for The New Day, this championship victory was also historic in a number of ways. As a result of their victory, Kingston broke the record for the most tag team championships in WWE history with 15. The previous record was held by Booker T, who had 14 championship reigns. Rampage Date: November 18, 2022 Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho, Excalibur It’s the go home show for Full Gear and the show has quite a bit set up in advance. The main story is advancing a tournament whose finals have been moved from Full Gear to next week, which is the best option that AEW had all things considered. Other than that, we have a special guest star so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Full Gear Contenders Tournament First Round: Ricky Starks vs. Lance Archer We start in the back (as originally planned and with Starks in street clothes) with the two of them taking turns sending each other into a metal garage door. Archer sends a backstage worker into a bunch of chairs and now they head into the arena, with Archer dragging him towards the ring. A right hand knocks Starks most of the way over a barricade and they go into the crowd with Starks diving onto him. They get to ringside, where Archer runs hi..

Switch it up. AEW has been around for a little over three and a half years now and during that time they have established a schedule that they tend to follow for their major events. The company presents four regular pay per views, with the next installment coming this weekend. However, they have now made a last minute change, which will affect both this event and the next TV show. During a media call to promote Full Gear, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the finals of the Full Gear #1 contenders tournament have been moved from Full Gear to Dynamite. This comes after the first round match between Ricky Starks and Lance Archer was postponed due to Starks being not medically cleared to compete. The first round match will now take place on Rampage, with the winner facing Brian Cage on the Full Gear Zero Hour show. The winner of that will face Ethan Page on Dynamite. They have potential.
