Ouch: New Detail On Tommaso Ciampa’s Hip Injury And Surgery

That’s a long time. There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to be injured and you never want to see someone put on the shelf for any length of time. Some injuries can take place all at once while others are the kind of that build up over time. Both have to be taken care of though and now we know a bit more about a WWE star who had to go under the knife earlier this year. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: International Star Announces He Is WWE Bound Back in October, Tommaso Ciampa revealed that he had undergone surgery to repair his hip, which has since been mentioned on WWE TV. According to Fightful Select, the hip had been bothering Ciampa for the better part of a year before he underwent the surgery. There is still no word on when Ciampa will be returning to the ring. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Plans To Reunite Top NXT Tag Team On Main Roster After Four Years

Run it back? WWE has been undergoing a lot of changes in the last few months and those changes seem to be continuing for the time being. This includes some things that might have been prominent in NXT but are only starting to make their main roster debuts. Now another idea might be getting to showcase itself on the main roster for the first time in a long while (or ever, depending on how you look at it). IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: She Said No: More Details And Timeline On Mandy Rose’s WWE Firing According to a new report by Xero News on Twitter, there are plans for DIY, comprised of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, to reunite on the main roster. Triple H is said to believe that the two would be a great addition to the tag team division before having them become singles wrestlers. Ciampa is currently out of action following hip surgery in October. There is no word on when he is expected to return. Gargano and Ciampa wrestled together a handful of times in 2019 but not under the DIY name..

That’s A Long Time: Bad News On Tommaso Ciampa’s In-Ring Status

You never want to hear that. Injuries can be a terrible thing in wrestling as they stop anyone’s momentum out of nowhere. One of the worst things about an injury is that you do not know how long someone is going to be out of action and there can be a lot of waiting involved. That is the case again with a WWE star, who will not be returning to the ring anytime soon. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:Ouch: SmackDown Star Out Of Action Three Months Following Surgery Monday Night Raw star Tommaso Ciampa is currently out of action as he recovers from hip surgery. According to PWInsider.com, there is nothing to indicate that Ciampa will be returning to WWE TV this year. Ciampa has not wrestled a televised match since the August 22 Monday Night Raw, though he has been mentioned during the feud between the Miz and Johnny Gargano. In case you’ve forgotten him. WWE Star Reveals Recent Surgery Keeping Him Out Of The Ring

That explains it. There are all kinds of reasons for wrestlers to be out of the ring for an extended period of time and most of them are not the best. One of the most common is an injury, some of which have been built up over time, leaving people wondering when the injured wrestler will be back. Now we know the reason why a WWE star is gone and the waiting game has begun. This week on Monday Night Raw, the Miz asked if anyone had seen Tommaso Ciampa recently, with Johnny Gargano responding that Ciampa was missing due to surgery. Ciampa posted to Instagram, announcing that he has undergone surgery to repair a torn hip labrum. There is no word on when he will be cleared to return to the ring. Ciampa has not wrestled since a live event on September 17. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tommaso Ciampa (@ciampawwe) Opinion: That explains a lot and hopefully it helps Ciampa get back in the ring sooner than later. Ciampa is a very talented star, but at the end of the day, he get..

WWE Explains The Absence Of Two Monday Night Raw Stars

They need some time. There are all kinds of reasons to take someone off of a television show. It could be for anything from an injury to someone needing some time to be freshened up a bit. WWE does this on a regular basis and that is what they have done in two different ways with a pair of wrestlers, both of which were announced on the same television show. WWE seemingly wrote off or explained the absences of two wrestlers this week on Monday Night Raw. First, the Miz mentioned Tommaso Ciampa missing during a promo, with Johnny Gargano responding that Ciampa was not missing, but rather injured. Ciampa has not wrestled since a live event on September 17. It is not clear what is wrong with him or when he will be back. Later in the show, Damage Ctrl attacked Candice LeRae, with commentary later announcing that LeRae had suffered a shoulder injury. There is no word on when LeRae will be returning to the ring. Opinion: This is what has to be done every now and then and the question instan..

Who? Another Long Time WWE Star Gets A Name Change

That’s him. WWE has a lot of resources and one of its biggest is having its own developmental territory in NXT. The company is able to bring up wrestlers who have been appearing on national television whenever they want to but WWE has a bit of a strange habit of changing things up about them in the process. That seems to be the case again with an NXT legend. Tommaso Ciampa was officially called up to Monday Night Raw earlier this month and became part of the roster. Ciampa appeared on this week’s show when he attacked the returning Mustafa Ali. During the attack, Ciampa was referred to by his last name only, suggesting that his first name had been dropped. In addition, earlier on Monday, TVA Sports Quebec’s Kevin Raphael said that Ciampa had lost the Tommaso name. This comes after WWE has shortened over names in recent weeks. Tommaso Ciampa is now only Ciampa. Effective immediately. — Kevin Raphael (@kevinraphael21) April 25, 2022 Opinion: For the life of me I wish WWE would drop ..

WWE Star Makes Surprise Return After Six Months, Already Has Multiple Issues

Good to see you again. There are certain things that you learn watching wrestling and one of the biggest is to never say never. No matter what is going on in the wrestling world, there is (almost) always a chance that it can be reversed. Someone can let anger go, a company could change its mind or something else could happen to get rid of an issue. That seems to be the case again. This week on Monday Night Raw, Mustafa Ali made his return to WWE television after a six month absence. Ali appeared during a MizTV segment in hopes of challenging Theory for the United States Title. Instead he fought and defeated the Miz, only to be jumped by Tommaso Ciampa after the match. Ali was returning after a hiatus due to a backstage argument with Vince McMahon over his character’s future, leading to Ali requesting his release from the company. Opinion: I didn’t think I would see this again and yet here it is, with Ali not only returning but dealing with multiple people at once. Maybe this doesn’t ..

NXT Legend Makes Official Monday Night Raw Debut

Welcome to the team. There are a lot of people on the WWE roster, to the point where WWE can break them up into multiple groups. That includes individual rosters for Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT. It can mean a lot when someone moves from one roster to the other, especially after it is a long time in the making. We got to see it again this week with a major name. This week on Monday Night Raw, Tommaso Ciampa was officially announced as the newest member of the roster. Ciampa appeared in a backstage segment where Ezekiel welcomed him to the show before Kevin Owens came in to yell at Ezekiel. This comes after Ciampa wrestled his last match in NXT at Stand & Deliver. He has wrestled on Monday Night Raw on occasion in the past, but always as part of the NXT roster. Opinion: This is the kind of move that you knew was coming but it is still a bit weird to see. Ciampa has been such a mainstay of NXT that it is hard to imagine him wrestling anywhere else, though I’m glad to see him get..

Two Surprising Names Possibly Joining Edge’s New Stable

That would be a big double up. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster these days that it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the best options is to put some people together and give them a common story in the form of a stable. That is something we are seeing again at the moment and now we might know some of the new names joining the team. According to Fightful Select, both Tommaso Ciampa and Rhea Ripley have been pitched as possible names to join Edge’s stable. These names are only pitches at the moment, which does not mean that they will be added to the group. Ripley has been having issues with her tag partner Liv Morgan while Ciampa recently wrestled his final NXT match. The only person to join Edge so far is Damian Priest. Opinion: This is something that could be interesting, though I’m not sure how well such an idea would go. What matters is finding the right people for these spots and these two could make for some strong additions. The story i..

Four New Matches Announced For NXT Stand & Deliver

It can grow in a hurry. NXT has been shaken up in a lot of ways over the last several months but things seem to have settled down a bit now. A September relaunch gave us NXT 2.0, which is kind of like the classic version but not exactly. There are several things missing, including Takeovers, but NXT does still run major shows. They are doing that again soon and now the card has grown. NXT Stand & Deliver is scheduled for Saturday April 2 and four new matches were announced for the show on NXT this week. First up, NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler will defend his NXT Title against Bron Breakker, who he took the title from last week in a triple threat. Second, NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose will defend against Cora Jade. Next Imperium will defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against MSK and the Creed Brothers in a triple threat match. Finally, Tony D’Angelo will face Tommaso Ciampa, though the final two matches have not been officially confirmed. Opinion: This is the kind of TV show that NXT has ..

NXT Results – March 15, 2022

NXT Date: March 15, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness We have just over two weeks to go before Stand & Deliver and the big story coming out of last week’s show was Dolph Ziggler winning the NXT Title from Bron Breakker by pinning Tommaso Ciampa in a triple threat. That should be setting up the rematch at Stand & Deliver with Ciampa left out so let’s get to it. We open with a look at Dolph Ziggler winning the NXT Title last week. Here is the special guest star the Miz for MizTV. The fans seem happy to see Miz, who hypes up his Wrestlemania match. With that out of the way, here is Dolph Ziggler, with Robert Roode, as this week’s guest. Ziggler is rather happy to be champion and we see a clip of Bron Breakker not being allowed into the building earlier. Roode and Ziggler brag about how much money they have but here is LA Knight to interrupt. If Breakker can’t come in and challenge him tonight, he’ll be the one challeng..

There Is A Special Catch To A Recent Surprise NXT Title Change

It was a bit of a surprise. NXT has a lot of different things to make work as it is not your usual wrestling show. Rather than just standing alone as its own product, NXT also has to figure out a way to develop its wrestlers to be ready to move up to the next level. That can be made even more confusing when main roster wrestlers show up in NXT, which has been the case as of late. Now we have a better idea of what WWE is doing. This week’s NXT featured a surprise title change as Dolph Ziggler won the NXT Title from Bron Breakker in a triple threat also including Tommaso Ciampa. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Ziggler’s title reign is expected to be a short one as it is designed to have Breakker win the title back on a major show. While not specified, this is likely NXT Stand & Deliver, which will take place on April 2 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Opinion: I don’t think this is exactly a big surprise and it isn’t exactly a big deal as Ziggler pinned Ciampa t..

Here’s The Odd Advice Bron Breakker Was Given At Monday Night Raw

Good advice? NXT is a rather unique wrestling promotion as it has to be its own show while also serving as WWE’s developmental territory. As a result, it needs to develop wrestlers and get them ready to go to the main roster, which can be easier said than done. One major NXT star made his main roster debut this week though and he seemed to get some unique advice. Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker made his Monday Night Raw debut on this week’s show, teaming with Tommaso Ciampa to defeat Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in a tag match. Breakker appeared on the One-On-One podcast after the show and discussed his appearance. He mentioned that several wrestlers gave him advice, with the advice that stood out the most being that he needed to smile more. There is no word on when Breakker will return to Monday Night Raw. This was an interesting interview. Check out the full video: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those things that WWE does that doesn’t make ..

Huge Title Change Takes Place This Week On NXT

History has been made! There are so many wrestlers in WWE today that it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. WWE already has wrestlers on two different rosters and that isn’t even considering NXT. That makes things even more complicated as NXT is the official WWE developmental system. Sometimes you see some crossover between the rosters, and that was the case in a big way this week. Dolph Ziggler won the NXT Title this week in a triple threat match over defending champion Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa. This is Ziggler’s first NXT Title win and came in his first title shot. Ziggler has been feuding with Breakker and Ciampa over the title in recent weeks. While not confirmed, it is expected that Ziggler will defend the title at Stand & Deliver on April 2 against an opponent to be named. Opinion: This is something that is rather surprising but is a smart move overall. Odds are this leads to Breakker getting his rematch at Stand & Deliver and getting his title bac..

NXT Date: March 8, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett It’s a special show as we have Roadblock, because this company likes to hit you over the head with the Road To Wrestlemania, or in this case Stand & Deliver, idea. The main event is a triple threat for the NXT Title between champion Bron Breakker, Dolph Ziggler and Tommaso Ciampa, but we are also going to get more of the women’s Dusty Classic. Let’s get to it. The post NXT Live Coverage And Results – March 8, 2022 appeared first on WrestlingRumors.net.

NXT Results – March 1, 2022

NXT Date: March 1, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett We are about a month away from Stand & Deliver, which could stand to deliver some of its card this week. You can all but guarantee Bron Breakker defending the NXT Title against Dolph Ziggler, but they are going to need something a little bit better than that. Those two are in a tag match this week so let’s get to it. Bron Breakker/Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dolph Ziggler/Robert Roode Ciampa is in a Breakker style singlet here, which commentary calls Steiner-esque. Roode also comes out to the GLORIOUS theme for a flashback. It’s a brawl in the aisle to start with Ciampa hitting a big slingshot corkscrew dive to take out both of them in the floor. We settle down for the opening bell with Ciampa working on Ziggler and handing it off to Breakker, who gets dropped by Roode’s neckbreaker. Ziggler grabs a chinlock but Breakker fights up and hands it off to Ciampa to clean house. A do..

WWE Is Planning Several Crossover Angles Between The Main Roster And NXT

They have a plan for that. WWE has changed up the way their company roster looks in a series of ways and there is nothing to suggest that they are done. The biggest changes have come to NXT, which has been completely revamped over the last several months. This includes letting dozens of wrestlers go, meaning there are some gaps that need to be filled. WWE has a plan to do that using some extra help. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE hoping to revamp NXT by having more crossovers between NXT and the main roster. This includes having an NXT storyline or wrestler involved with the main roster, preferably on Monday Night Raw, at almost all times. WWE has been trying things like this with appearances from Grayson Waller and Tommaso Ciampa on Monday Night Raw and Dolph Ziggler on NXT. There is no word on who else might guest star on either show. Opinion: This is an interesting way to go with NXT, which could certainly use some star power. There are so many people doing nothing on ..

Former NXT Champion Makes Surprise Return

Welcome back. NXT has been on one of the biggest rollercoasters in recent wrestling history and those changes continue to change. Several names have come and gone, with several of them making their NXT debuts. The roster looks nothing like it did back in its glory days, but there are still a few familiar names here and there. Now another one has made a surprise return to the show. The main event of this week’s edition of NXT featured Dolph Ziggler vs. Tommaso Ciampa in a match to crown the new #1 contender to the NXT Title. Late in the match, Ziggler was down with the referee checking on him, allowing a cameraman to hit Ciampa with his camera. After the match, the cameraman revealed himself as Ziggler’s partner and former NXT Champion Robert Roode. Ziggler and Roode then attacked Ciampa, leading to NXT Champion Bron Breakker making the save. A tag team match was then made for next week’s show. It was a great match. Check out how the main event went down: [This post contains video, c..

The show is going to need a main event and odds are we will find out what that is tonight as Tommaso Ciampa and Raw’s Dolph Ziggler meet in a #1 contenders match. Let’s get to it. We open with a long Vengeance Day recap. Here is NXT Champion Bron Breakker for a chat. He talks about Santos Escobar being a tough opponent last week but now it is time for a new opponent. That could be as soon as Stand & Deliver, which will take place over Wrestlemania weekend. Cue Dolph Ziggler, who says he’ll be NXT Champion sooner than later, but the question is whether Breakker will make it to Stand & Deliver as champion. Tonight, Ziggler is going to take out Tommaso Ciampa and get his title shot, but Breakker wants to fight over Ziggler superkicking him last week. ..
