There May Be Several New Free Agents On The Wrestling Market

See you down the road? The wrestling world has been all over the place in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that it is going to change anytime soon. That could make for some very interesting landscapes in the future, especially for the wrestlers who are going all over the place. It seems that might be the case for more wrestlers, but it might not be what it seems. According to PWInsider.com, five names have been removed from the Impact Wrestling roster page. The following names are no longer appearing on the page: Tommy Dreamer TJP Petey Williams No Way Taylor Wilde Dreamer is currently absent from television over his comments on a recent edition of Dark Side Of The Ring, while Williams is going through a tryout to be a WWE producer. However, Impact Wrestling has responded, saying that these wrestlers have not been released. It is not clear if they will continue to appear with the company going forward or not. You might not be seeing them again. Check out some of the nam..

Two Wrestlers Injured On The Same Show, One Sent To Hospital

They just keep coming. Injuries can take place at any given time to any wrestler and it is never a good thing. Any wrestler being forced to miss time from the ring is a negative and unfortunately no one is immune to the possibility. What matters after an injury is finding out how long someone is going to be missing in action, and that is the question for two wrestlers over the weekend. According to Fightful.com, two wrestlers were injured during Saturday’s Major League Wrestling Fightland taping. First, Nicole Savoy suffered a broken rib during her match and was stretchered out, ultimately being taken to the hospital. Later in the show, TJP suffered an undisclosed injury but was not taken to the hospital as a result. There is no word on how much time either of them will be missing. Savoy has been wrestling in Ring of Honor while TJP has been working for Impact Wrestling. You might remember both of them. Check out the two of them in action: [This post contains video, click to play] ..

Impact Wrestling Results – June 3, 2021

Impact Wrestling Date: June 3, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: Josh Matthews, D’Lo Brown We’re on the way to Against All Odds which means we’re on the way to Slammiversary, meaning Kenny Omega is going to be getting some more featured time around here. Tonight might be a little short on time though, as we are getting a special bonus match. During Before The Impact (the show which airs before Impact), Josh Alexander defended the X-Division Title against TJP in an hour long Iron Man match, which has gotten such rave reviews that I’ll include it as an extra. Let’s get to it. Before The Impact: X-Division Title: Josh Alexander vs. TJP Alexander is defending in a sixty minute Iron Man match. Fallah Bahh is here to sweep the steps for TJP and Petey Williams is here with Alexander. They go with the grappling to start with Alexander being shoved down in a hurry. A test of strength goes to Alexander but he can’t break TJP’s bridge. Instead TJP flips him over..

Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021 Results

Rebellion 2021 Date: April 25, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker Rich Swann vs. Kenny Omega, title for title. I would talk about the rest of the show but none of it matters in the slightest, which you would know if you have been watching the TV shows. Nothing else has gotten any significant attention in the build, which does make some sense. Hopefully it lives up to the considerable hype. Let’s get to it. The opening sequence focuses on Omega vs. Swann, with Omega talking about how being the best goes so far beyond being the best in the ring. The rest of the card gets far less attention. X-Division Title: TJP vs. Ace Austin vs. Josh Alexander Austin, with Madman Fulton, is defending. Alexander and TJP go after the champ to start with Austin kicking Alexander in the head. TJP gets taken down so Alexander goes for the ankle lock on Austin. That’s broken up so Alexander gets caught in TJP’s Octopus hold. With that not lasting lon..

Multiple Title Changes Take Place Over The Weekend

History has been made! Titles are one of the easiest ways in the world to advance a wrestling storyline. It works so easily because anyone, whether they are a long term fan or not, can understand what is going on: someone is the best and someone else wants to do become the new champion to prove that they are the best. The title match is on and everything should work. A title change can be very interesting for a company and we had two of them in one night. Impact Wrestling has been in a weird place over the last few months as they brought in a variety of stars who had been released from WWE and then kind of fell off for a bit. They were revitalized by AEW showing up and bringing in some of their stars. New Japan has done the same and now some of those wrestlers are making quite the impact (pun intended) on the promotion. Two title changes took place during Saturday night’s Sacrifice special on Impact Plus. First, Ace Austin defeated TJP to become the X-Division Champion for the second..

Impact Wrestling Results – February 16, 2021

Impact Wrestling Date: February 16, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker We’re done with No Surrender and that means it’s time to get moving towards Rebellion. There weren’t a ton of changes coming out of No Surrender but one of the more interesting ones saw Josh Alexander becoming the new #1 contender to the X-Division Title. The question for tonight is seeing what we’ll be seeing from AEW next. And what is up with Tommy Dreamer. Let’s get to it. We open with a No Surrender recap. David Finlay and Juice Robinson, better known as FinJuice, are coming from New Japan. Opening sequence. X-Division Title: Josh Alexander vs. TJP TJP is defending and they’re starting fast this week. They go to the mat to start and the threat of an ankle lock sends TJP straight to the ropes. Back up and an abdominal stretch has Alexander in some trouble but that’s broken up. An anklescissors takes Alexander down but he grabs an ankle lock. STRIKER: “S..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – December 16, 2020

Fusion #114 Date: December 16, 2020 Location: Gilt Nightclub, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Jared St. Laurent, Rich Bocchini We’re back to the club and that means the Opera Cup is continuing. I’m not sure what we’re going to get here other than the second semifinal, but Alex Hammerstone is back after a few weeks off due to Contra. That seems to be your next big showdown and it needs more building, so let’s get to it. Richard Holliday and Alex Hammerstone arrive and aren’t happy with being interviewed as soon as they get to the show. Some masked goons jump them but don’t get very far. Hammerstone is about to ram one of them into the car but Holliday stops Hammerstone because the car is in Holliday’s name. Hammerstone elbows him in the face instead. Opening sequence. LA Park Jr. vs. Bu Ku Dao Dao is TJP’s protege so TJP, along with LA Park, is here. Park points to the ropes to distract Dao (barely five feet tall) and kicks him to the rope, allowing Park Sr. to get in some cheap shot..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – November 25, 2020

Fusion #111 Date: November 18, 2020 Location: Gilt Nightclub, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Jared Saint Laurent, Rich Bocchini I’m not sure what to make of things around here. Last week’s show wasn’t the worst but it also didn’t exactly live up to the expectations that had been built up during the hiatus. It’s time to start the Opera Cup again and while it’s a nice idea, it’s not like the first one was a blow away idea. Let’s get to it. We open with a quick preview of tonight’s first round Opera Cup matches. Opening sequence. We look at the end of last week’s show with a new member of Contra attacking Alex Hammerstone. Earlier today, Richard Holliday didn’t think much of Contra and promises that Hammerstone will be fine. He runs into Gino Medina, who claims he quit the Dynasty while Holliday insisted he was fired. Medina implies violence by the end of the night. Opera Cup First Round: TJP vs. Richard Holliday Holliday has the Caribbean Title held up but makes it clear that this ..

Impact Wrestling Results – March 17, 2020

Impact Wrestling Date: March 17, 2020 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Don Callis, Josh Matthews We’re almost to the last taping cycle from this company for a good while. Last week’s show ended with the announcement that Tessa Blanchard would defend the World Title against both Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards at Rebellion. That’s kind of a problem now as there is likely no Rebellion, meaning this could be a rather interesting show if they didn’t edit things. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at the end of last week’s show, with Blanchard agreeing to the triple threat match. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: The North vs. TJP/Fallah Bahh TJP and Bahh are challenging after winning some singles matches and a non-title match to set this up. The brawl is on before the referee can lower the titles, meaning the champions try to hit Bahh in the head for some reason. Alexander gets hit with Poetry In Motion and a belly to belly from Bahh. TJP gets caught in..

Impact Wrestling Results – March 3, 2020

Impact Wrestling Date: March 3, 2020 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Don Callis, Josh Matthews Things are moving around here as of late with Taya Valkyrie coming after Tessa Blanchard and the World Title. That’s a different way to go and I’m not sure how it is going to go. Other than that, we have the continuation of the bizarre feud between Su Yung and the forces of….the real world? Maybe? Let’s get to it. We open with a Nashville Strong graphic. Opening recap, entirely on Taya vs. Tessa. Opening sequence. The North vs. TJP/Fallah Bahh Non-title. Alexander and Bahh start things off but Page comes in as well, only to have Bahh clothesline both champs down. Page rocks Bahh with a right hand but he’s fine enough to slam Alexander anyway. A cheap shot from behind puts TJP in trouble though and Alexander rakes the eyes to really take over. Page runs him over again and goes to yell at Bahh, followed by the delayed vertical suplex, with the handoff. We hit th..

Swoggle opens up about his tenure in the business. The 4'5 Swoggle has tallied up a total of fourteen years in the pro wrestling business. In his tenured career he has traveled many of roads and captured a number of championships in different promotions/companies. In 2006 Swoggle was introduced to WWE fans as Finlay's "Little Bastard" and as his career went on he would soon become a WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Prior to the TJP who was the inaugural winner of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament and the inaugural champion of the reinstated Cruiserweight Title, Swoggle was the last competitor to hold the championship. While speaking with UPROXX Swoggle gave his take on wanting the WWE Cruiserweight Title [belt] back. "Yeah, and they never did anything with it, ever. And I just want that real title [belt] they never gave me, 'cause they always said, 'We’re gonna bring it back.' I said, 'No, you’re not, you’re not gonna do that.' I just want the re..

Several Matches Confirmed for Tonight’s SmackDown & 205 Live Tapings

<p>As seen at Sunday’s WWE Battleground event, Nakamura won his match against <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/baron-corbin" title="Baron Corbin">Baron Corbin</a></strong> via disqualification when he was nailed in the crotch by Corbin. WWE 205 Live Results – July 25 2017

<p>Welcome to the fastest hour on television, 205 Live!</p><p>Tonight’s show features the Cruiserweight Champion, King Neville in action in the main event! Neville faces <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/ariya-daivari" title="Ariya Daivari">Ariya Daivari</a></strong>, a man who has made a name for himself recently by destroying Akira Tozawa. Last night, Daivari attacked Tozawa again but this time, he also took the fight to Neville! The audacity! Daivari clearly believes he is on the Neville level and tonight he has a chance to prove it. I could easily see a scenario in which Tozawa interferes tonight and we end up with a Triple Threat at SummerSlam, although that might leave us with too many multi-man matches at the summer showcase.</p><p>Also on tonight’s 205 Live, TJP and Rich Swann continue their seemingly friendly battle for supremacy as they partake in tag team action, albeit on separate teams. TJP teams with Tony Nese tonight to take on Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander, in which should be a great match.</p><p>I’d also expect to see Noam Dar, Mustafa Ali, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/drew-gulak" title="Drew Gulak">Drew Gulak</a></strong>, Brian Kendrick and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/jack-gallagher" title="Jack Gallagher">Jack Gallagher</a></strong> on tonight’s show. Let us know what you’re excited to see, or not excited to see, on the free Ringside Talk app and remember to enjoy the show!</p>

Rumor on TJ Perkins Changing His Name

<p>Bryan Alvarez made the following remarks about WWE’s decision to change <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tj-perkins" title="TJ Perkins">TJ Perkins</a></strong>’ name to simple “TJP” on an installment of the Bryan and Vinny Show:</p><p><em>“I was told this by someone in WWE and I believe it. It’s astonishing because I suggested this like a month ago when it happened and it wasn’t until yesterday that somebody told me that it’s true. TJP is no longer TJ Perkins and I largely joked that clearly, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/vince-mcmahon" title="Vince McMahon">Vince McMahon</a></strong> had a bad experience at a Perkins [restaurant]. Sure as s**t, Vince apparently hates Perkins. I was told that Perkins is not a national chain but apparently, he hates it and he thinks it sucks and he thinks that if people hear ‘TJ Perkins’ they’re <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/gonna/" title="gonna">gonna</a></strong> think of the f**king restaurant so now he’s TJP. I’m just telling you what I was told. This guy [McMahon] is crazy enough that I believe that.”</em></p><p>TJP caught wind of the story when a follower on Twitter mentioned it to him and indicated that it was his idea to change the name.</p>

WWE 205 Live Results – 6 June 2017

<p>Welcome to the fastest hour on television, 205 Live!</p><p>Two nights ago at WWE Extreme Rules Neville battled <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong> in a submission match and retained his Cruiserweight Championship. That marked the third time Neville bested Aries and the end of their series. Last night on Raw, TJP asked Neville to hold his end of the bargain and give him a title shot. Neville spoke to Kurt Angle about it, then attacked TJP before telling him he had his shot.</p><p>So, on tonight’s show, TJP gets a shot at Neville’s Cruiserweight Championship in what is sure to be a great match and take up the majority of the program. We may also hear from Austin Aries, who is in need of a new direction after losing again.</p><p>Also on tonight’s show, will Akira Tozawa join The Titus Brand? And is the drama between <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/rich-swann" title="Rich Swann">Rich Swann</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/noam-dar" title="Noam Dar">Noam Dar</a></strong> really finished.</p>

Possible Matches for WWE Great Balls of Fire

WWE Extreme Rules Results – June 4 2017

<p>Welcome to Ringside News’ coverage of WWE Extreme Rules 2017!</p><p>Let’s start at the top for a change: the Kick-Off show begins at 7:00 PM EST, and the main show starts at 8 PM. The Kick-Off show will see another rematch between Kalisto and Apollo Crews, with Titus O’Neil in Apollo’s corner. Originally the pre-show match was supposed to be the mixed tag match but it was changed just today. So join us for the Kick-Off show and get the results of this match and the rundown of the entire card.</p><p>Two tag team matches take place on the main card tonight, one of which is The Hardy Boyz Vs Sheamus & Cesaro for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships. This match will take place inside of a steel cage and the stipulation is fitting because things have gotten personal between the two teams. The other match is the mixed tag team match with Rich Swann & Sasha Banks against Noam Dar and Alicia Fox. This match was on the pre-show but was moved to the main card, as far as I can tell. The match doesn’t really have a stipulation, besides the genders, but it will look to settle the score once and for all between Noam Dar, Alicia Fox, and Rich Swann.</p><p>Dean Ambrose puts his Intercontinental Championship on the line against The Miz on tonight’s show. This match is kind of the opposite of every other on the card tonight, as Dean Ambrose will lose his title if he gets disqualified against Miz. This stipulation was put in place because The Miz claims Ambrose cannot win matches without getting crazy, and also to differentiate it from the rest of the card. The odds are already stacked against Ambrose, but there is a strong chance <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/elias-samson" title="Elias Samson">Elias Samson</a></strong> may interfere and attack The Miz – reflecting his “eye for an eye” lyric on Raw this past week. Let us know who you think will walk out with the gold!</p><p>Speaking of gold, Neville stands a strong chance of losing his tonight, as he faces <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong> in a submission match. This is the third PPV in a row that Neville and Aries will have gone toe-to-toe and it seems like the chances of Neville retaining are super slim. Aries has been run through the gauntlet time and time again by Neville and TJP, but tonight the odds actually favour him, and the only way to keep things going is for Aries to grab a win against the King of the Cruiserweights.</p><p>Alexa Bliss battles Bayley in a Kendo Stick-On-A-Pole match, following one of the worst WWE TV segments in recent memory. Last Monday, Bliss gave us a Bayley, This Is Your Life segment, but what transpired was a lot more like Jerry Springer than The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection. This left us less-than-excited for the title match tonight, especially considering the gimmick of the match means that there won’t be any use of the Kendo Stick for the majority of the match. I expect this match to be as good as it could be, simply because of how good Bayley and Alexa are, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bayley take the win!</p><p>The main event tonight is the first-ever Extreme Rules Fatal 5-Way between Finn Balor, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong>, Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.</p>
