Come On Up: WWE Plans To Bring Two NXT Stars To The Main Roster

They had a plan. NXT is a unique wrestling promotion, as it has its own television show but it is also the official WWE developmental territory. That means the wrestlers’ goal is to move up to the main roster and get out of NXT, no matter how well they have done there in the first place. We might know who WWE has in mind as some of the next callups from NXT to the main roster. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: BREAKING: AJ Styles Injured At WWE Live Event, Helped To The Back Earlier this month, WWE released Mandy Rose from the company in a surprise move. The release, reportedly due to a series of risque photos Rose had released online, came less than twenty four hours after Rose lost the NXT Women’s Title to Roxanne Perez. This left Rose’s Toxic Attraction teammates Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne with nothing to do, but according to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has plans to bring the two to the main roster without Rose. There is no timetable on when this would take place. The team has potential. C..

Another NXT Star Injured, Out Of Action

That sounds serious. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them can keep a wrestler on the shelf for a long time. You never want to see someone get hurt as it can derail everything that they have going on. Some of the worst kinds of injuries are the ones with no timetable for a return and unfortunately that seems to be the situation again for a young up and coming star. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT’s Tiffany Stratton is currently out of action with a head injury of some kind. It is not clear what kind of head injury it is but there is no mention of it being a concussion. Stratton was injured at some point during her Lights Out match against Wendy Choo on the August 23 edition of NXT and has not appeared on NXT TV since. Opinion: That is the kind of thing that could go in a lot of different directions depending on the specifics. Right now we don’t know enough about the situation to know what is wrong and that can be rather frustrating. Hopeful..

Former WWE Star Out Of Action With Very Unique Disease

That’s a unique one. There have been all kinds of injuries and issues that have kept wrestlers out of the ring over the years. Most of the medical issues you hear about are injury related, but sometimes a condition will pop up that makes things that much odder to hear. That seems to have been the case again, as a former WWE star is out of action for a pretty unique reason. New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that former WWE star Kushida will miss his scheduled match on Friday due to a case of hand, foot and mouth disease. Kushida was diagnoses with the disease after being looked at for a skin condition. There is no timetable for Kushida’s return to the ring. Kushida returned to New Japan back in June following a three year stint in WWE. Opinion: That is the kind of thing that you do not hear about very often and hopefully Kushida is back to normal a lot sooner rather than later. The disease can be a rather nasty one and Kushida will need some time off to recover. Kushida did well w..

BREAKING: Stephanie McMahon Taking Leave Of Absence From WWE

Back in a bit? WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world and that means it is going to take a lot of people to run it properly. The company has to have the right people in the right places to make it work and any change, especially at the top, can be a big deal. That is the case again, as one of the most prominent members of the company’s top team is stepping away. Stephanie McMahon has announced that she is taking a leave of absence from the majority of her responsibilities with WWE. McMahon says that she is taking time off to focus on her family and looks forward to returning to work, though no timetable is given. According to PWInsider.com, only the WWE’s inner circle knew about McMahon’s decision and everyone was “100% shocked by the news”. Opinion: This is a situation where speculation is the worst thing possible, as we have no idea why McMahon is leaving. There is every possible chance that McMahon has been working at a high level in a huge company for a very long time ..

Here’s The (Good) Reason For Charlotte Taking Time Off From WWE

I would call that a good reason. There are a lot of people moving in and out of any given WWE show. Some of them are around for the long haul but occasionally need some time off for one reason or another. That can make for some dramatic exits, which was the case for a bigger name over the weekend. Now we might know the reason for someone taking a bit of a break from WWE. Over the weekend, Charlotte lost the SmackDown Women’s Title to Ronda Rousey in an I Quit match at WrestleMania Backlash. Following the loss, a WWE report announced that Charlotte had suffered a broken arm and would be out of action indefinitely as part of the storyline injury. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Charlotte is taking time off because she is getting married to AEW’s Andrade El Idolo. There is no word on how long Charlotte will be gone, but the timetable for recovery from such an injury is about six to eight weeks. Opinion: It is great to hear that there is a reason for Charlotte to be gone other tha..

Update: Bad News On Jonathan Gresham’s Health Status

That doesn’t sound good. An injury is one of the worst things that you can see in wrestling as you never know how long someone is going to be out of action. What can make it even worse is the kind of injury that is under the surface and has no real timetable to heal up. That is the case again with a current prominent star, and now things are already looking a bit worse. Earlier this week, Ring Of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham suffered a possible concussion in a match against Dalton Castle at AEW Battle Of The Belts II. The injury has not yet been confirmed, but Progress Wrestling has announced that Gresham will be missing his appearances for the company in the UK this weekend. The company did say that he will be back in action on May 15. There is no word on when Gresham might be wrestling before then. Regrettably, due to injury, Jonathan Gresham is not medically cleared to make the trip to the UK this weekend. Replacements will be named shortly for both #AtlasWeekend events. ..

Very Good News On Two Injured Wrestlers

That could be worse. Injuries can be devastating to anyone in wrestling as you never know when one of them will take place. Some of them come out of nowhere due to a simple mistake in a match and those can often be the worst possible. What matters the most is how long it will take someone to get healthy and we have positive updates on a pair of injured wrestlers. Both Big E. and Chelsea Green were injured over the last week and have now provided updates on their situations. Big E. was injured during a match this week on SmackDown and posted a video saying he had broken his neck. He has since sent out another video, announcing that his C1 and C6 vertebrae are fractured but not displaced. He also has no ligament or spinal cord damage. As a result, he will not need surgery, though there is no timetable for his return. Green was injured during a match with Deonna Purrazzo at Impact Wrestling’s Sacrifice event. According to F4WOnline.com, Green suffered a fractured radius in her forearm. ..

Good News On AEW Star After Scary Crash Landing

See you soon. There are all kinds of ways that a wrestler can get hurt and none of them are good. Some of them are far worse than others though, with some of the worst often being the ones that appear to be the worst. That was the case earlier this week during a match where a terrifying crash took place. Now we know a bit more about what happened and it might not be as bad as it seemed. Last week’s AEW Dynamite featured a match between Lance Archer and Eddie Kingston. During the match, Archer attempted a moonsault and landed on the top of his head, with the match ending almost immediately thereafter. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Archer suffered a neck sprain and there is no word on when he will be back in the ring. The usual timetable for recovery from such an injury is 4-6 weeks. Archer could have been in much worse shape. Check out what he can do when he is healthy: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This pos..

Injury Update On Ivar, Situation Worse Than Previously Thought

That’s bad to hear. Injuries can be some of the scariest things in all of wrestling and the neck is one of the worst places that can be damaged. That is the sort of injury that can end a career and they can seemingly come out of nowhere. Like any other injury, it can happen in a flash and that was the case this week on Monday Night Raw. Now we know a bit more about it and the results aren’t great. This week on Monday Night Raw, Ivar of the Viking Raiders dove to the floor during an eight man tag. Upon landing, Ivar immediately made the X sign, signaling that he had been hurt. He was taken away on a stretcher after the match and was later diagnosed with a neck injury. The tentative diagnosis was a stinger but there was no timetable given on his return, though now we have some bad news. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Ivar’s injury is considered significant though it is currently unknown if he will need surgery. The initial thought of a stinger seems to be incorrect and the inju..

A Long List To Get Through. Brian Cage Offers Injury Update, Will He Have To Drop The World Title?

The champ isn’t doing so well. Impact Wrestling aired Rebellion on Sunday night with quite a strong show. There was a lot going on with the card, to the point where the World Title match didn’t even headline the show. While it didn’t go on last, the match included a moment that could change a lot of things going forward, and it isn’t even the way the match ended. During the World Title match between Brian Cage and Johnny Impact, Cage was injured by taking a Spanish Fly to the floor. Cage appeared on Busted Open Radio on Friday with an update on his condition. His injuries include a bone bruise, inflammation and a possible small fracture, though the injuries should heal over time. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, the timetable could result in Cage having to drop the title. Winning the title meant a lot to Cage. Check out this interview from before Sunday’s match: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Egads I hope they can hold off on this for the time be..

Major Update Regarding Alexa Bliss’ Health Status Amidst Retirement Rumors

Over the last month, Alexa Bliss has been sidelined by a concussion. A lot of people have become impatient with the lack of a return date for her. More recently, there have been rumors of Alexa taking a significant time off from in-ring action to become the General Manager of Raw once Baron Corbin’s run in the role finally comes to an end after TLC. Despite the rumors and speculation, a report from RingSideNews shared some activity that Little Miss Bliss has had on social media recently. In the report, Bliss mockingly was surprised to learn of her “retirement” and claims that she’ll be returning to action in the near future. Here’s What WWE Has Planned For Dean Ambrose’s WWE Return

After The Lunatic Fringe went down with a tricep injury in December, the timetable for his return was nine months. He missed WrestleMania, but the WWE Universe is hopeful Dean Ambrose will make his WWE return for Summerslam. Depending on his recovery, it’s more likely for him to return to Raw the night after the biggest party of the summer. Before his injury, the rumor was he would be turning heel before WrestleMania and his rivalry with Seth Rollins would rekindle. That obviously did not happen and Rollins has become the Intercontinental Champion. Meanwhile, the WWE Universe still isn’t sure when Ambrose will return to WWE, but we have a better idea of what he will be doing. Related: Update On Dean Ambrose’s Injury Status According to a new report from RingSideNews, most people are still expecting Ambrose to turn heel after his return to television. Brad Shepard believes The Lunatic Fringe will come back red-hot like Rollins did after missing seven months back in 2015. A lot of his..

Here’s When Randy Orton Will Return to WWE Television

WWE’s Apex Predator has a lighter schedule than most wrestlers with the company, but the reason why you haven’t seen Randy Orton on SmackDown Live recently is due to an injury. It has been reported that Orton has undergone knee surgery for a meniscus tear. Apparently, The Viper has needed the surgery since last year. His body either could not wait any longer or WWE officials thought it was a good time for him to get healthy. The timetable for his return is at least three months, according to Pro Wrestling Unlimited. Related: Randy Orton Recovering From Knee Surgery On paper, that would put him as questionable for Summerslam in August. It’s possible WWE officials will implant him into a feud or a match for the event. The expectation is Orton won’t return to WWE programming until after the biggest party of the summer. Before his injury, The Viper was involved in the United States Title hunt. He was finally able to hold the championship for a brief time, but Orton didn’t have much mom..

New Titles Being Added After “Wrestlemania XXXIV”

Give us two more. We’re coming up on “Wrestlemania XXXIV” and that means it’s time for some major changes to start taking place. Some of them might be new names debuting or some big matches being set up, but in this case it might mean some new titles being added to the current collection. I wonder if it’s part of this vision. [This post contains video, click to play] According to PWInsider.com, WWE will be introducing Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles at some point after “Wrestlemania”. There is no specific timetable on when the titles will be introduced or how the first champions will be crowned. There has not been a Cruiserweight Tag Team Title in a major promotion since WCW had the very short lived Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles which were introduced on March 18, 2001 and retired just eight days later. Not keeping up with “205 Live”? Here’s the latest episode. Opinion: I’m a little skeptical about adding another title to “205 Live” and I’m hoping they don’t add something else to ..
