It’s a Hall Of Fame thing. Wrestling has a history of working with celebrities and it has been a mixed bag over the years. There are several celebrities who are there for the sake of promoting their latest project and nothing more, while there are occasionally celebrities there for their love of wrestling (among other things). The latter was the case this week and a WWE legend got involved as a result. They’re done. Tag teams have a strange history in WWE as they often feel like they are put together for the sake of being split up. This can cause some rather abrupt endings for teams, as they seemingly go from happy to split in a matter of days. Something similar has happened again in NXT as a team that only started having troubles a few weeks ago have now split up. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: BREAKING: WWE Announces Newest Inductee Into Hall Of Fame Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley split up this week on NXT when Paxley turned on Nile during a match. The two were involved in a #1 contenders triple threat match when Paxley refused to accept Nile’s tag and then attacked her. This comes after a few weeks of taunting from Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, who have been saying that the two are not a real team. The two had been regularly teaming together since August 2022. They have a history together. Check out the split, plus the two in happier times: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post..
That’s not good. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world today, several of whom have been seen in a variety of promotions. It can be interesting to see where someone goes after they have some success in one place, but unfortunately there are times when someone goes through a problem that is more important than wrestling. That appears to be the situation again and now legal issues are included. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Switch? That’s a special moment. While wrestling is scripted and the results are known ahead of time, there are certain things about it that are more realistic than others. At the end of the day, these wrestlers are out there doing their jobs in front of millions of people. That can make for some tricky situations as they try to do their work while keeping their minds right. Sometimes that needs a boost, and that was the case in an infamous moment. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not Yours: WWE Facing Possible Legal Action Over New Nickname Back at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, Bayley and Sasha Banks lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Back later? There are all kinds of storylines in wrestling, some of which might not make the most sense on the surface. Oftentimes, these stories are things that will not be paid off for a long time, as fans are left waiting to see what is going on. That seems to be what is happening again in AEW, as one of the company’s top stars is saying he will be gone for the time being. There soon. There are several ways to present a wrestler and various elements have to be put together properly to make it work. One of the most important is the debut as it offers fans their first look at someone new. That can be done in a variety of ways, including building up anticipation for a wrestler’s debut. Sights set. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the WWE roster but it can be difficult for all of them to find something to do. With that many people, even the amount of television time that WWE has is often not enough. Sometimes those wrestlers have to be grouped together, and that is what a certain manager is teasing again, with quite the array of names. He’s worth something! Stables have been one of the most important recurring concepts in wrestling as they solve multiple problems at once. Above all else, it can allow wrestlers to get on television a bit more, as instead of short spots from individual people, they can appear together for longer stretches. On the card. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 39 and that means the card is rapidly getting set. The show will again be held over two nights and there are even more matches that need to be set up. Sometimes you will see a bunch of matches being set up at the same time, which was the case this week, as multiple matches were set up on the same night. There were three new WrestleMania 39 matches set up this week on Monday Night Raw. First up, Logan Paul and Seth Rollins had a showdown, where Paul said that he would face Rollins on a bigger stage. WrestleMania host the Miz agreed to get the match made and it was set later in the show. Second, Austin Theory interrupted John Cena and challenged him to a US Title match at WrestleMania. After insulting Theory, Cena accepted the challenge. This match has been teased since Cena and Theory met backstage last June. It will be Cena’s first singles match since Summerslam 2021. Monday Night Raw Date: March 6, 2023 Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than a month away from Wrestlemania and tonight is going to be one of the bigger shows, as John Cena is back. There is a good chance that we get his Wrestlemania match set up this week, as he is running out of time. Other than that, we also get a face to face staredown between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins. Let’s get to it. The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) arrived earlier today, with Heyman reiterating Roman Reigns’ orders to deal with Sami Zayn. Now Zayn escaped on Friday, so he must be here in Boston tonight. Instead, Sikoa is going to solve the Kevin Owens problem tonight, and Jimmy will solve Zayn, whether Jey is here or not. Jimmy and Solo leave and Heyman calls Reigns. Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa Owens jumps him before the bell but Sikoa fights back and we officially get going. Sikoa kicks away at him a few times and a right ha..
They’re back. There are all kinds of ways to present stars in wrestling and sometimes the best way is after a break. Occasionally a wrestler just needs some time away from the fans to get freshened up a bit and let something new come in. So I guess he’s done? With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster, it can be difficult to figure out a way to stand out. The wrestlers are talented and there are all kinds of people who can do a variety of things, but only a few are able to connect with the audience in a special way. One of the more popular wrestlers with that ability might not be around the company for a little while. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a Face Of The Revolution ladder match with eight stars. Early in the match, Eddie Kingston and Ortiz brawled off with commentary saying they had to be separated. Following the show, AEW aired a video, showing Kingston being interviewed.
