We have some sad news to report today as WWE Hall of Famer, Arn Anderson’s son Barrett has passed away at the age of 37. Anderson tweeted the following to share the news: Last night my family suffered a loss that should never be felt by any parent. Our older son Barrett passed away. I am struggling to write this. Tell those you love that you love them. Barrett was just 37. Last night my family suffered a loss that should never he felt by any parent. Our older son Barrett passed away. Barrett’s brother, Brock, who works for AEW along with his father, shared the following words: “I never thought of what to say in something like this because it’s not something you just have on stand by waiting for the day to come… Last night I lost my brother ..

AEW Revolution 2023 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s Revolution and things are not exactly feeling hot coming into the show. The main event is a sixty minute Iron Man match with Bryan Danielson challenging MJF for the World Title, which means there won’t be as much time for the usual deep card this time. Other than that, we have Hangman Page vs. Jon Moxley in a Texas Death Match and Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy in what seems to be a Buried Alive match. Let’s get to it. Zero Hour: Mark Briscoe/Lucha Bros vs. Ari Daivari/Varsity Athletes The Mark Briscoe vs. Mark Sterling and company feud continues for reasons I don’t think I follow. Briscoe also has some new friends in the Lucha Bros and that means we could be in for a new trio. The division could certainly use them, but for now they have to get rid of something like this, as AEW is giving them a nice spot to get their feet wet as a three man team. Of course I’ll take Briscoe and the Bros here, as there is no reason to suggest that Daivari and company will ever be winning anything..

Monday Night Raw Results – February 27, 2023

Monday Night Raw Date: February 27, 2023 Location: Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, Michigan Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than five weeks away from Wrestlemania and you can see a lot of the show’s card from here. That means we should be in for a good event, as there is time to build things up in advance. Odds are we’ll hear a lot from Cody Rhodes this week, which often works out well. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Friday’s Bloodline issues, as Sami Zayn seems to still be getting inside Jey Uso’s mind. Here are Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa to mock the idea of there being problems in the Bloodline. Families fight all the time but if you come for one of them, you come for all of them. There have been a lot of people who thought the Bloodline was over and they were all wrong. So get them some opponents out here. Cue the Street Profits, who shout a lot and ask where Jey Uso is. Trash is talked and we’re ready to go. Jimmy Uso/Solo Sikoa vs. Street Profits J..

Reunion: Former WWE Star Backstage At Elimination Chamber After 8+ Year Absence

He’s still here? There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and a good many of them do not make the biggest impact. There are some names who are more infamous than anything else, while there are other names who did not do all that much while they were around. Now a former WWE star you might not have thought about much lately was backstage at a major WWE event. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Her Take: Charlotte Explains Why WWE Should Not Unify Titles According to Fightful Select, former WWE star JTG was backstage at last weekend’s Elimination Chamber event. JTG was said to just be there to visit friends and is on good terms with WWE, though there is nothing to suggest anything about a return. JTG wrestled for WWE as part of Cryme Tyme and then as a singles wrestler before being released in 2014. He has since wrestled on the independent circuit. You might not remember JTG. Elimination Chamber 2023 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s the last big stop on the Road To Wrestlemania and for a five match card, four of them are big and the fifth includes some Hall of Famers. This show is pretty much stacked with either big matches or the awesome sounding main event. While the show is called Elimination Chamber, the whole thing is about Roman Reigns defending the World Title against hometown boy Sami Zayn. Let’s get to it. Edge/Beth Phoenix vs. Finn Balor/Rhea Ripley Somehow this is the least important match on the show as Edge’s war against the Judgment Day continues. In this case, he is bringing in the wife to go after Ripley, who is on her way to WrestleMania. This should be a good, long tag match as all four can do well in a spot like this one. That being said, it doesn’t help that this feels like it is only there to set up something at Wrestlemania. I’ll take Judgment Day here, as Ripley pinning Phoenix would make her look like a bigger deal on what could be her path to the main event of the first night of Wre..

Ouch: Former AEW Champion Out Of Action Due To An Injury

It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of injuries a wrestler can undergo and some of them are not as obvious as others. While you can see the big ones right in front of your face, there are others that can put a wrestler on the shelf, even if it does not seem to be that bad. It seems to be the case again, as a former AEW champion is on the shelf with an injury. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Would Know: Jeff Jarrett Reveals AEW’s Thought Process Behind Running Live Events During a recent video gaming live stream, former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida revealed that she is suffering from a finger injury. While Shida said that she is still able to game, she is unable to wrestle at the moment. Shida described the injury as “little”, though she did not give any date on a return to the ring. Her most recent match took place on January 1 in Japan. Shida has been quite the success in AEW. Check out what she has done: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains vide..

He Would Know: Jeff Jarrett Reveals AEW’s Thought Process Behind Running Live Events

They do have a plan. AEW has been around for a few years now and the company has come a long way in a relatively short amount of time. They still have several things they need to do though and now it seems that they are ready to start one of the most important. What matters is doing it right though, and now we know a bit more about the plans that they have made. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Monday Night Raw Stable Recruits A Surprising New Member Earlier this month, AEW announced that it would begin running limited live events, beginning with a show on March 11. In a new interview with Under The Ring, AEW’s Jeff Jarrett spoke about the plan, which includes starting slowly and going with a “crawl, walk, run” process. Jarrett also said that the company had a lot of learning to do, saying that they will have hits and misses. Here are some of his comments, with transcription courtesy of Fightful: On AEW Starting Live Events: “It’s gonna be a crawl, walk, run process. I believe the stra..

WATCH: Monday Night Raw Stable Recruits A Surprising New Member

It’s a different group. Stables have been a part of WWE’s history for decades now and there is nothing to suggest that they will be going away anytime soon. They are a logical idea, as you can have several wrestlers in one place and getting more television time than they might have otherwise. Now though, we might be seeing a WWE stable gaining another member. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: By His Ruling: Lawsuit Filed Against WWE By MLW Dismissed, Case Not Over Yet Last month on Monday Night Raw, Maxxine Dupri of Maximum Male Models met Otis and thought he could be perfect for the team. This week, Dupri offered Otis a modeling job while saying that Otis could be the face of their brand, which left Otis seeming intrigued. There is no word on where this could be going or what this will mean for Otis’ partner Chad Gable. This has potential. WWE Superstars Predict The 2023 Super Bowl Winner

They have spoken. WWE recently released a video in which several superstars give their predictions for who will win the 2023 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadephia Eagles. The game is being played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. You can see the video below: [This post contains video, click to play] The superstars and their picks are as follows: Street Profits – Eagles Baron Corbin – Chiefs The Miz – Chiefs Ricochet – Eagles Dolph Ziggler – Chiefs Bobby Lashley – Chiefs Madcap Moss – Eagles Austin Theory – Chiefs Sarah Schriber – Chiefs Ashante Thee Adonis – Eagles Top Dolla – Chiefs B-Fab – Eagles Tegan Nox – Doesn’t Care Editor’s Opinion: Most of the superstars interviewed are riding with the Chiefs, which I totally get because they have Patrick Mahomes. However, I’ve thought that, for the most of the year, the Eagles have been the most complete team with that explosive office, under Jalen Hurts. Because of the fact that I think the Eagles have..

Dominik Mysterio Discusses Rhea Ripley, Life In Prison, The Judgement Day, More

Dominik Mysterio was recently interviewed by WrestleRant and Bleacher Report, where he discussed a number of topics. Among them was his relationship with Rhea Ripley, his time in prison, the future of The Judgement Day, and more. Below are some highlights from the interview: On his relationship with Rhea Ripley: “Maybe after she choked me unconscious, I thought, ‘You know what? I think things may be able to work here. I think she’s the one to help me out,'” he said about when their chemistry clicked for him. “I think our anniversary would be the first day she beat me up. But I don’t know. I’m not going to answer questions that are going to get me trouble.” “She doesn’t like to do much and neither do I, so we just stay indoors,” Dom said. “She puts on some really scary movies and listens to really loud music. I don’t like the scary movies, but she’s pretty scary, so it all depends on what she puts on, whether it be a slasher or a horror. It’s pretty intense.” On being in priso..

NXT Vengeance Day 2023 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

Unless I’m forgetting something, this is the first time NXT has left Orlando for a televised event since Stand & Deliver over Wrestlemania weekend. At some point they just need to get out of Florida and heading to Charlotte is as good of a way as any. The card actually has me interested this time, though the television show from this week wasn’t so great. Maybe they can overcome that with a good one here so let’s get to it. North American Title: Wes Lee(c) vs. Dijak We’ll start off with one that can go either way as Dijak is a monster who can run through a lot of people and Lee is someone who could be champion for a nice run. This has been built up for a few weeks with Dijak speaking more and more like an 80s movie villain. Lee has turned into a much better star than I would have expected him to be and this is a tossup so far. I’ll go with Lee here, as it would not surprise me to see Tony D’Angelo and Stacks come in to cost Dijak the match. Dijak is someone who needs to be protected ..

Former WWE Women’s Champion Returns To Television

She’s back. WWE has had a number of returns in the past 48 hours, with names such as Chelsea Green and Rick Boogs returning to the company. However, there was an additional name that also made her presence felt on television. Carmella made her return to WWE programming on tonight’s episode of Raw. It was also announced that she would be in a Fatal-4-way match on next week’s show, along with Candice LaRae, Michin, and Piper Niven. The winner of that match will qualify for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, where the winner will face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. After the announcement, Carmella was interviewed backstage, where she was confronted by Asuka, who had blue liquid running out of her mouth. Editor’s Opinion: F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! I have been a fan of Carmela’s for a long time and it is great to see her back on television. I’ve always thought that she had something to offer the company and with the momentum that the Raw women’s division has..
