VIDEO: Dominik Mysterio And Rhea Ripley Take Over Rey Mysterio’s Valentine’s Day Dinner

This is becoming a tradition. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestling storyline, many of which have been around for decades to continued success. One of the best is to have family members get into trouble with each other, likely setting up a huge match down the line. WWE has been doing that again, and now it seems that they are using various special days to make it work. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: What WWE Has Planned For New Batch Of WrestleMania Parody Movie Trailers Last year on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley have invaded Rey Mysterio’s home, resulting in violence both times. This weekend, on Valentine’s Day, Dominik and Ripley interrupted Rey’s Valentine’s Day dinner with his wife Angie. Dominik and Ripley took over the dinner but Dominik’s credit card was declined, leaving Ripley to pay instead. Rey and Dominik did not get physical this time. It was a busy holiday. WATCH: Dominik Mysterio Gets Arrested At Rey Mysterio’s Home

A holiday tradition? There have been all kinds of wrestling families throughout the years, many of which have become some of the better known names in the industry. You often see multiple generations of the same family, some of whom get to work together at one point or another. That has been the case in WWE over recent years, though now things are going in a negative direction. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Another Run? Former WWE Star Lana Thinks Miro Will Return To WWE Rey Mysterio feuded with Dominik earlier in the year, resulting in Rey moving from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown. The feud has continued on social media though, with Dominik and his girlfriend Rhea Ripley trying to invade Rey’s home on Thanksgiving. Dominik and Ripley attempted to do it again on Christmas Eve, but this time Rey backed them out of their house. Rey’s wife Angie slapped Ripley and then police arrived to arrest Dominik. There is no word on if Dominik will miss television time as a result. There’s a trend here...

Impact Wrestling Results – December 1, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: December 1, 2022 Location: Old Forester’s Paristown Hall, Louisville, Kentucky Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt We are back to the regular show after last week’s Thanksgiving special. That means we need to start getting ready for whatever the December show will be, plus Hard To Kill. The latter of these shows will likely be headlined by Bully Ray challenging Josh Alexander for the World Title, but we need something else besides that. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at Bully Ray teasing being good and then going all evil as he goes after the World Title. Here is Bully Ray, complete with the broken Call Your Shot trophy to get things going. He isn’t sure if these Kentuckians will understand him so he tries to keep it simple. Ray shows up at Bound For Glory, ran the gauntlet, and earned the title shot. He told Josh Alexander that he was coming for him on January 13 and they shook hands, with Alexander accepting the match. The fans chant for A..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 24, 2022 (Thanksgiving Special)

Impact Wrestling Date: November 24, 2022 Hosts: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt It’s Thanksgiving and that means we are in for a special Best Of show around here. That’s about as logical as you’re going to get for this time of year as there is no reason to believe that anyone is going to pay attention to a show on such a big holiday. You never know what you’ll see on something like this but let’s get to it. Opening sequence. The hosts welcome us to the show and promise us some great Thanksgiving moments, plus a look at Overdrive. We’ll start with Thanksgiving 2008, with Rhino pinning Alex Shelley in a triple threat match also involving Sheik Abdul Bashir. As a result, Rhino gets $25,000 and Shelley has to wear a turkey suit, as enforced by Mick Foley with threats of firings/bad history lessons. Wrestlers say what they are thankful for (Joe Hendry is thankful for mirrors because he gets to see who he really is). Deaner asks Eric Young if this is the end of Violent By Design but doe..

RUMOR KILLERS On Two WWE Money In The Bank Stories

Not so fast. WWE runs major events almost every month, some of which are among the biggest wrestling events of the year. Several of these are annual events that are centered around the same concept matches every year. Under the company’s new regime, WWE has reportedly been moving away from such shows, but it seems that some possible changes will not be taking place. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Dominik Mysterio And Rhea Ripley Invade Rey Mysterio’s Home For Thanksgiving According to Fightful Select, two rumored Money In The Bank related stories are not taking place. First up, there have been rumors of both Money In The Bank ladder matches being moved to WrestleMania, but several members of the WWE creative team have said that while possible, no such changes have been made. Second, reports of LA Knight being penciled in to win the men’s Money In The Bank latter match in 2023 have not been discussed. While Knight winning is not impossible, it is not being talked about right now. Thes..

WATCH: Dominik Mysterio And Rhea Ripley Invade Rey Mysterio’s Home For Thanksgiving

It’s a personal thing. There are all kinds of feuds in wrestling and some of them are more serious than others. One of the easiest ways to present a feud is between members of the same family having an issue. Fans can relate to the concept and get behind it without too much trouble. WWE has been using the concept in recent months and have upped the ante this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Just Keep Waiting: Missing AEW Star Reportedly Medically Cleared For “Quite Some Time” WWE has released a video on YouTube showing Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley showing up at Rey Mysterio’s house on Thanksgiving. Rey tells them to leave but the two invade Rey’s home and attack him. This is a continuation of the angle that saw the Mysterios split and Rey leave for SmackDown as Dominik sided with Ripley. There is no word on if the two will begin to feud again after this incident. It was a nasty situation. Check out the family strife: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I love it wh..

History Is Being Made! Here’s The Interesting Reason For An AEW Tradition

It is an aspect to consider. AEW has only been around for a few years now but the company has put together quite a nice history for itself. The company does certain things over the course of the year almost every year, to the point where you can guess what is coming most of the time. However, there is one thing that they do that seems a bit odd, but there is quite a simple reason for it as well. Throughout its history, AEW has held fourteen regular pay per views, with four of them having been held in or around Chicago, Illinois. The company’s next event, All Out 2022 on September 4, will also be held near Chicago. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is because AEW President Tony Khan considers himself a wrestling historian and wants to hold annual shows in the same markets. This has been done throughout wrestling history, including Jim Crockett Promotions running Greensboro on Thanksgiving night. At the same time, Khan does want to expand AEW into new pay per view markets in t..

KB’s Review: We Lost The Food Fight

I’ve been watching wrestling for a pretty long time now and it is rare that things really get to me in a negative way. Of course there are bad parts to almost every show, but most of them come and go without too much trouble. That is not always the case though and unfortunately we saw something like that again this week. To make it even worse, it was the second similar instance in just a few weeks. Back in November, Charlotte hit Toni Storm in the face with a pie. It was the night after Thanksgiving and WWE felt the need to have a Thanksgiving Leftovers match earlier in the show. Charlotte and Storm came out, with Charlotte hitting her in the face with the pie. Since this is modern WWE, Storm stood there and took it, only to come back the next week with a pie to Charlotte. Then Charlotte beat her up twice in a row and Storm left the company, probably because she just lost a feud that started with a pie being shoved into her face. Now that was bad enough, but at least it was designed ..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 25, 2021

Impact Wrestling Date: November 25, 2021 Commentators: James Mitchell, Dr. Ross, Sinn Bodhi So it’s Thanksgiving and that means things are going to be a little different around here. Since Impact Wrestling is smart enough to realize that a TV show on Thanksgiving isn’t going to draw so well, this is going to be a special look at the second season of Wrestle House. In other words, it’s the wrestling version of a reality show, whose first season was a mixture of a lot of fun and near torture at times. Let’s get to it. A rhyming narrator (sounds like James Mitchell) welcomes us to Wrestle House and we recap the first season, featuring a bunch of people who have not been around much lately. This ultimately led to Rosemary nearly marrying John E. Bravo, Tommy Dreamer, then a shooting at the wedding, an investigation, more Tommy Dreamer, the rise of Swinger’s Palace, the closing of Swinger’s Palace and then Bravo sending everyone here so Swinger can be happy. The cast figures out they are..

LOOK: Former WWE Star Sports Striking New Look

It’s a new way to go. The look is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s presentation. There has to be something about a wrestler which makes you pay attention and keep you around, which can go in a bunch of different ways. A lot of the top wrestlers today have something notable to them, but now one of them has changed their look in a bit way. Recently released WWE star Keith Lee has posted a new photo of himself with mostly white hair. Lee said that his hair has been turning white since he was sixteen years old and that he likes it this way. Lee was released from his WWE contract in November and his no compete clause has yet to expire. There is no word on where he plans to sign and wrestle next. Here's a fun fact about me. I started getting white hair at 16 years of age! Personally, I like it. I wish it was all white. Unfortunately, many don't understand science, and *only* associate it with age haha. Happy Thanksgiving humans. Be thankful for the things you hav..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 24, 2021

Dynamite Date: November 24, 2021 Location: Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We’re back in Chicago, as AEW really likes coming here. It’s also just before the start of Thanksgiving weekend, so this is going to have a bit of a special feeling. Bryan Danielson and CM Punk are both in action this week so it certainly feels like a big show. Now just make that work. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. CM Punk comes out for his match but hold on though as here is MJF to interrupt. MJF says it doesn’t feel so good to be interrupted and calls him Punky Brewster. Fans: “SHUT THE F*** UP!” MJF: “No.” Last week was almost as bad as that time when Punk took his ball and went home. MJF brings up the Pipebomb, which was a great moment. The thing is though, every MJF moment is the best moment because he isn’t a one trick pony. MJF respects Punk for everything he does, including being straightedge, though he can’t believe that a straightedge man cou..

Tribute To The Troops 2021 Results

Tribute to the Troops 2021 Date: November 14, 2021 Location: Toyota Arena, Ontario, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s time for the big patriotic show, which is actually taking place closer to Thanksgiving this time around instead of the usual Christmas season. This one is airing on FOX to make it feel even bigger, though it is just a one hour edition which was taped last month at Smackdown. In other words, they don’t seem to be putting in as much effort this year. Let’s get to it. Lilian Garcia sings the National Anthem. Video on the troops and what this show means to WWE. Big E. vs. Dolph Ziggler Non-title and commentary does give a brief recap of their history. Robert Roode is here with Ziggler and dig those red, white and blue ropes. Big E. powers out of a waistlock to start and sends Ziggler flying, setting up some gyrations. A kick to the ribs slows Big E. down and Ziggler gyrates a bit as well. That just earns him the abdominal stretch with rhythmic shots..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – September 20, 2021

Monday Night Raw Date: September 20, 2021 Location: PNC Arena, Raleigh, North Carolina Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves It’s the go home show for Extreme Rules and in theory that should mean that it is time to actually add something EXTREME to the card. It would be nice to have the show actually live up to its name, though I think you can guess what kind of stipulations we are going to be seeing. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Big E. cashing in Money in the Bank to win the WWE Title last week. Here is New Day to celebrate Big E.’s title win. Big E. is rather emotional as he soaks in the YOU DESERVE IT chants and says this feels like Thanksgiving to him. He is thankful for everyone who has been here chanting New Day Rocks and (and those who chanted NEW DAY SUCKS). There are some great people here to celebrate with and one more above watching down (cue the BRODIE chants, and Big E. has to pause for a second). As for tonight though, it is time for some b..

REVIEW: WrestleCade SuperShow 2018: Nice To See You Again

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? WrestleCade 2018 Supershow Date: November 24, 2018 Location: Benton Convention Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina Commentators: Blake Chadrick, Cyrus Fees So this is kind of like WrestleCon Thanksgiving with a big wrestling convention and a few shows, including this supershow. I’ve wanted to go down to this for a few years but I might as well take a look at the major show. This could be anywhere from great to horrible and it’s hard to guess one way or another. Let’s get to it. National Anthem. ..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – November 26, 2018

Monday Night Raw Date: November 26, 2018 Location: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Renee Young We’re coming up on TLC and the card is already starting to come into focus. Last week saw two big matches set up and you can imagine some more taking place tonight. We also don’t know any of the big gimmick matches yet, which are often some of the most important things on the show. Let’s get to it. We open with Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Lio Rush and Drew McIntyre in the ring. They talk about how great their Thanksgiving was, though they didn’t indulge themselves like these common people. They’re all thankful for everything they do, including what they did to Braun Strowman last week. We see last week’s attack that put Strowman on the shelf and then go to Birmingham, Alabama where Strowman says he’ll be on the shelf for a while. His surgeon has never seen an injury like this before nor worked on an arm this size. He’ll be back though and what ..

Reason Why Shane McMahon Made No Big Moves on SmackDown Live After ‘Survivor Series’

At Survivor Series, SmackDown Live didn’t win a match during the event against Raw. A single win during the pre-show doesn’t count for the storyline. The expectation was that Shane McMahon would make “big changes” to the brand following the embarrassment that was Survivor Series. However, last Tuesday evening’s show was business as usual. Instead of reacting to the situation, Shane got involved with The Miz and had a bizarre angle during a tag team match. According to a report from PWInsider, Thanksgiving is the reason why WWE officials kept Shane McMahon from “punishing” SmackDown for its failure at Survivor Series. The belief is fans could have been distracted by the holiday to start a new angle like that. Therefore, WWE decided to wait another week to do it. Related: Real Reason Why Shane McMahon “Won” WWE World Cup at ‘Crown Jewel’ The important thing to develop is the heel turn for Shane O’Mac that began after WWE Crown Jewel. The angle should be perfect for building some heat o..

Starrcade 2018 Live Report And Review

Sure why not. Last year, WWE brought back Starrcade in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, marking the first edition of the show in about seventeen years. Now it seems to be a tradition over Thanksgiving weekend (the show’s original time, at least in general) and I took in this year’s edition in the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show ran over three and a half hours, including a fifteen minute intermission. Before the show, they aired an ad for the Wednesday night lineup, including the Mae Young Classic. The show that ended a month ago. The crowd was hot all night and attendance was strong, with some sections blocked off. I didn’t see a hard camera so I’m not sure how this was shot, though there were regular cameramen around all night. The show opened with a tribute video to Dusty Rhodes, who created the idea for Starrcade. This was well received and you could tell the fans were slightly older here, with a lot of Ric Flair and Dusty fans all night long. After a Welcome to Starrc..
