NXT Results – March 7, 2023 (Roadblock)

NXT Date: March 7, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. This is the Roadblock special, because we need a special event less than a month before what is probably the biggest NXT event of the year. Since the NXT Champion is in a six man tag, the real main event is probably Shawn Michaels appearing on the Grayson Waller Effect. NXT has teased Michaels fighting Waller, so odds are we see who is doing it in Michaels’ place this week. Let’s get to it. We open with Tiffany’s Epiphanies, as Tiffany Stratton runs down the card and talks about how we got here. Tony D’Angelo vs. Dijak This is the Jailhouse Street Fight, meaning a casket match with a jail cell. Dijak tries a nightstick to start but gets clotheslined to the floor instead. It’s way too early to send Dijak into the cell but D’Angelo fights his way out of it too. After Stacks gets knocked down, they head back inside where Dijak hits High Justice onto a chair. Dijak throws in ..

Impact Wrestling Results – March 2, 2023

Impact Wrestling Date: March 2, 2023 Location: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt We are done with No Surrender and that means we are at least one step closer to Rebellion in April. Josh Alexander is still the World Champion after retaining over Rich Swann, but now Steve Maclin is waiting on the champ. That should make for a good buildup and they have time to make it work. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of No Surrender. Here is the Bullet Club for a chat to start. Chris Bey is rather happy about what he and Ace Austin have been doing lately, including beating the Motor City Machine Guns (in a six man tag) at No Surrender. Bey talks about helping set up the ring in this building before making his Impact Wrestling debut here as well. It turns out that Austin debuted here too but he would rather talk about beating Chris Sabin. After revealing Austin’s “I BEAT CHRIS SABIN”, we get a quick audience poll over who the be..

Rampage Date: March 3, 2023 Location: Cow Palace, San Francisco, California Commentators: Chris Jericho, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross It’s the final show before Revolution and that means this week is live. Normally I would say a pay per view card is set two days before the show but AEW has a tendency to throw in a bunch of stuff at the last minute. This week will also see Dustin Rhodes/Keith Lee vs. Mogul Affiliates so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Aussie Open vs. Claudio Castagnoli/Wheeler Yuta vs. Top Flight vs. Dark Order The Dark Order jumps Castagnoli/Yuta in the aisle to start but Top Flight dives onto all four of them. Aussie Open drives Top Flight together as JR talks about needing to win to get a pay per view pay day. Ross: “Am I right about that?” And he is completely ignored, as that doesn’t seem to be right. We get inside for the bell with Top Flight dropkicking Aussie Open with Davis being knocked to the floor. Reynolds comes in and hits a running elbow on ..

Monday Night Raw Date: February 20, 2023 Location: Canadian Tire Center, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We’re done with Elimination Chamber and that means it is time to get ready for Wrestlemania. The big story is that Roman Reigns retained the World Title over Sami Zayn, who seems promised to rejoin forces with Kevin Owens to fight the Bloodline. We might see the start of that tonight so let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber, with Zayn coming up short and Kevin Owens saving him after the match. Here is Sami Zayn to get things going and he looks to be a wreck. He talks about how everything has been going on for the last few days and the response he has gotten from the fans means more than they could know. WOO? Ric Flair Claims FOX And Netflix Are Considering A Wrestling Themed Reality Series

That would be a different way to go. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestling story, as wrestlers have various personality types and characters. It can be interesting to see what happens when you put them in different scenarios, especially if it is something personal. Now we might be seeing some very different scenarios from people related to the wrestling industry. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Clean Slate: Backstage Meeting Reportedly Held Over AEW Star’s Past Actions During a recent edition of his To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair revealed that FOX and Netflix are considering a series built around wrestling housewives, featuring his wife Wendy, Kim Orton, Giovanna Angle and Catalina Hager. That should make for a few interesting weeks but this week’s lineup doesn’t exactly offer much in the way of hope. The Blackpool Combat Club is here though and that is one of the better things Rampage could do. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Butcher and the Blade/Kip Sabian Sabian drives Yuta into the corner to start but a sunset flip gets Yuta out of trouble. Yuta is sent outside and Castagnoli comes in, with Butcher getting to come in as well for the power staredown. They yell at each other and slug it out, with both of them staggering. Moxley and then Yuta come in to take turns on Butcher as Jericho talks about the Impractical Jokers cast stealing his baseball bat. Sabian is able to grab a flipping Stunner on Yuta for a breather and Blade gets ..

It looks like we have a title match set up, as Carmelo Hayes stared down Bron Breakker, who retained the NXT Title in the main event. That should give us a clear path to Los Angeles so let’s get to it. We open with the recap of Vengeance Day. Here are Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes to open things up. It’s a change. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler and some of them work better than others. A slight tweak in how a wrestler comes off can change everything about them, either for good or bad. RUMOR: Jey Uso Declares He Is Out of the Bloodline

He’s no longer feeling Ucey. Jey Uso took to Instagram earlier today and posted a cryptic message, following the events of last night’s Royal Rumble premium live event. AEW Interested In A Merger With WWE

When two become one. According to a report from CNBC, Shad and Tony Khan, owners of AEW, are interested in merging with WWE. The report states that AEW could partner with a strategic media company to share the intellectual property while merging the two companies. However, the idea that Vince McMahon would merge his company with AEW is a long shot. AEW hasn’t had talks with McMahon or Nick Khan, the new CEO for WWE. The Khans are open to discussing a potential role for McMahon, after a sale but haven’t yet had those talks. It’s unclear what type of job McMahon would want with WWE after a sale, primarily because WWE is a much larger and more established organization than AEW. WWE is reportedly planning to sell the company sometime in 2023. Editor’s Opinion: Wow, this is not the headline that I expected to read today. I’m not exactly sure how a merger would work, particularly with Tony Khan and Vince McMahon as the two people that would work out the details. They are both very inves..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Top WWE Stable Could Move In Upcoming Draft

New home? WWE has so many different kinds of wrestlers around its roster that the stars can be spread across different unique shows. This time though, WWE is at least thinking about a move. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One More? A different look. There are a lot of different wrestlers on any given roster, but some of them are even more unique as their significant other is also involved in the wrestling business. That means a lot more Bully Ray, who dominated the first fourth of last week’s show and will probably be around again this week. Other than that, it might be nice to hear some more from the World Champion Josh Alexander, so let’s get to it. We look at Deaner killing Eric Young off last week.
