Former WWE Star Makes Surprise Return To Former Promotion

It’s another place to go. WWE and AEW get most of the attention in the wrestling world and that is not going to change for the time being. That being said, they are also not the only promotions in the world and there is a lot of talent out there away from the major companies. Sometimes you see a former WWE wrestler try his luck elsewhere, and that is the case again with a homecoming. Kushida made a surprise return to New Japan Pro Wrestling this week at the New Japan Road show in Tokyo. Kushida returned and confronted IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori, likely setting up a future match between the two. After the confrontation, Kushida announced that he would be spending the rest of his career with New Japan. This marked Kushida’s first appearance since leaving WWE in April of this year. On night two of NJPW's 'Wrestling Dontaku' event, following the clash between Will Ospreay and KUSHIDA over the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Ospreay's night went from being in the clouds to falling flat on the ground as he just so happened to be in the ring as it was time for the debut of the new 'Bone Soldier'. 'Bullet Club' original Tama Tonga addressed Ospreay and the entire Junior Heavyweight division uttering that they were in for a rude awakening. That rude awakening came in the form of former IMPACT X Division Champion Taiji Ishimori. Low Ki just joined LAX. LAX win the 6 man after Low Ki’s interference. Alberto took a bit of a while to get up and refs had to help him to the back.</p><p>– KM, Fallah Bahh, and Mario Bokara vs Grado, Suicide, and Braxton Sutter. Grado, Sutter, and Suicide win when Grado pins KM. Grado <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/calls/" title="calls">calls</a></strong> out LVN, she comes out with Joseph Park, last week they were interrupted but this week Grado wants an answer. GFW Spoiler Notes: Former WWE Talent Appearing?, Hardy Boyz/Impact Update, More

<p>The following are backstage notes from tonight’s GFW Impact tapings in Orlando, FL. courtesy of PWInsider:</p>There has been some pressure from America’s Top Team about Bobby Lashley concentrating full-time on MMA pursuit and pulling back on pro wrestling commitments. The <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/hardy/" title="Hardy">Hardy</a></strong> Boyz settlement has been a hot <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/topic/" title="topic">topic</a></strong>. While it was noted previously that they were close to an agreement with Anthem, that is not the case. It’s believed to be the complete opposite. There are plans for the “Swole Brothers” to get in the ring tonight at the taping. Naomichi Marufuji, Taiji Ishimora and Hijo del Fantasma are all scheduled for singles matches at tonight’s tapings.
