Having a stable allows for several wrestlers to be able to get television time at once, often through a shared goal or characteristic. Occasionally you will also see wrestlers who are thrown together with nothing else to do, and now we are seeing one such stable go their separate ways. The idea makes sense as it allows the large WWE roster to be grouped together a bit, with different wrestlers being put into one place. It can mean a lot when a stable breaks up and now we very well could be seeing the reunion of a rather successful team. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Over the last few weeks, MVP has been trying to convince Bobby Lashley to reform the Hurt Business, but Lashley has turned him down every time. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lashley has been pushing for a reunion of the team behind the scenes. It is something that has to be done every now and then though, no matter how tricky it might be. The right wrestler has to be found in order to make it work, but even then there could be some issues. During an appearance on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Sheamus talked about how he was received backstage after winning the WWE Title from John Cena at Tables, Ladders And Chairs 2009. Sheamus had only been on WWE TV for about five and a half months when he won the title and said that nobody was very excited over what happened. They’re already done. AEW has quite a few stars on its roster and as a result, several of them have been grouped together into various stables. There have been all kinds throughout the company’s history and many have gone in different directions. It means something when one of them does something big and that certainly took place this week as well. This week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman told the Firm to stay away from Jon Moxley before Full Gear. Following Moxley’s defeat of Penta El Cero Miedo, the Firm attacked Moxley, leading to Friedman coming to the ring and firing them as his stable on retainer. The Firm then beat Friedman up and put him through a table to end the show. It is not clear if this marks a full babyface turn for Friedman. Huge Reunion Set For October 10 Monday Night Raw
It’s a homecoming. Stables have long since been a major concept in WWE and it makes a lot of sense.
