And Done: AEW Stable Officially Disbands

That’s one less. Stables have been a common factor in wrestling for a very long time now as they are a concept that makes sense. Having a stable allows for several wrestlers to be able to get television time at once, often through a shared goal or characteristic. Occasionally you will also see wrestlers who are thrown together with nothing else to do, and now we are seeing one such stable go their separate ways. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE And AEW Stars Reunite In New Music Video AEW’s QT Marshall has announced that the Factory, his AEW stable, has disbanded, citing hate from “experts” in wrestling. Marshall said to keep an eye on the members of the team, including Lee Johnson, Cole Karter, Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto. There is no word on any backstage reason for the team being disbanded and nothing to suggest that any member is gone from the promotion. We did some fun stuff. Unfortunately, the amount of Factory hate from the “experts” in wrestling was too much and the group ..

WATCH: Mick Foley Wants To Join The Judgment Day (And It’s Great)

He’s worth something! Stables have been one of the most important recurring concepts in wrestling as they solve multiple problems at once. Above all else, it can allow wrestlers to get on television a bit more, as instead of short spots from individual people, they can appear together for longer stretches. Now a legend wants to join one of the most prominent modern stables. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Return: Vince McMahon Backstage At Monday Night Raw (With A Huge Change) Mick Foley has released his video resume in an attempt to join the Judgment Day. Foley lists off several of his career highlights, including a focus on his times flying off of Hell In A Cell. During the video, Foley also makes fun of Dominik Mysterio’s time in prison and includes an Al Snow reference. Thus far, Judgment Day has not responded to Foley’s offering to join the team. WATCH: Monday Night Raw Stable Recruits A Surprising New Member

It’s a different group. Stables have been a part of WWE’s history for decades now and there is nothing to suggest that they will be going away anytime soon. They are a logical idea, as you can have several wrestlers in one place and getting more television time than they might have otherwise. Now though, we might be seeing a WWE stable gaining another member. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: By His Ruling: Lawsuit Filed Against WWE By MLW Dismissed, Case Not Over Yet Last month on Monday Night Raw, Maxxine Dupri of Maximum Male Models met Otis and thought he could be perfect for the team. This week, Dupri offered Otis a modeling job while saying that Otis could be the face of their brand, which left Otis seeming intrigued. Run It Back: WWE Sets Wheels In Motion To Reunite Successful Stable

One more time. Stables have been a major factor in WWE for decades now and they continue to be around in modern times. The idea makes sense as it allows the large WWE roster to be grouped together a bit, with different wrestlers being put into one place. It can mean a lot when a stable breaks up and now we very well could be seeing the reunion of a rather successful team. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Over the last few weeks, MVP has been trying to convince Bobby Lashley to reform the Hurt Business, but Lashley has turned him down every time. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lashley has been pushing for a reunion of the team behind the scenes. As a result, the wheels have been set in motion for the team to reform, though it is not clear when it will take place or who will be involved. The team originally formed in May 2020, split up in September 2021, reunited later in the month, and split up for good in January 2022. The team was certainly a success. Check out the..

WATCH: WWE Stable Turns Heel In Surprise Switch On SmackDown

They switched. Stables are an interesting concept in wrestling as you can have a bunch of wrestlers together in one group to let them get more television time. That can cause a lot to change at once if the entire group does something different. That seems to be the case this week, as a team of wrestlers is now going in a rather different direction for the first time in this place. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Run It Back: Roman Reigns’ Next Title Defense And Opponent Announced This week on SmackDown, Ricochet defeated Top Dolla in a Royal Rumble qualifying match. WRESTLING RUMORS: More Evidence WWE Is Teasing A Hurt Business Reunion

The important piece. There have been a lot of stables throughout WWE’s history but most of them follow a fairly standard formula. Most WWE stables are focused around one major star, with other smaller stars supporting them. Without the right balance, the stable is rarely going to work, meaning it has to be put together correctly. It seems a possibly returning stable is working to get the right centerpiece. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: International Incident: WWE Star Loses Title At Major International Event Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, a backstage segment showed MVP talking to former Hurt Business members Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. According to Wrestlingnews.co, MVP recently asked Adam Pearce (also in the segment with Benjamin and Alexander) about fellow Hurt Business member Bobby Lashley. There is no word on when or if the Hurt Business could reform. That could make for a heck of a team. Check out the Hurt Business in action: [This post contains video, click to pla..

LOOK: WWE Teases Popular Stable Reunion On Monday Night Raw

Reunion? There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it is difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the best ways to deal with the problem is to group them together in stables. WWE has used them for years and that tradition continues to be the case to this day. It now seems that WWE is at least considering a reunion of a departed stable. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: And Done: Former WWE Champion Reportedly Now Free Agent, Can Wrestle Elsewhere This week on Monday Night Raw, Damage Ctrl was seen walking through the backstage area on their way to the ring. That’s Big: D-Von Dudley Reportedly Nearly Fired Over Recent Independent Show Situation

That’s a bit more serious. There are a lot of people who come together to make a WWE show work and several of them are rarely seen on camera. In addition to the wrestlers who get all of the spotlight, there are all kinds of people who work hard to make the show a success. Those are people who help get the wrestlers ready, but WWE almost let one go over a recent incident. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Need Plans: WWE Looking For Backup Plan If Rock Cannot Work WrestleMania 39 Earlier this month, a story broke about D-Von Dudley being pulled from the Battleground Championship Wrestling “Tribute To The Extreme” event in Philadelphia. The appearance was initially shut down by Bruce Prichard, with Tri..

One More Ride? Update On The Shield Reuniting In WWE Anytime Soon

Don’t get your hopes up. There have been a lot of great stables throughout WWE’s history, with some of the better ones being around in recent years. It makes sense for a stable to be successful in modern wrestling, as there is a heck of a lot more television time for the teams to dominate. WWE name dropped a very successful stable recently, but a reunion does not seem likely. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Nikki Cross Teases Return Of Former Stable Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins and United States Champion Theory had a face to face confrontation. During their talk, Theory said that Rollins was the third most successful member of the Shield. This comes as WWE recently finished celebrating the ten year anniversary of the Shield’s WWE debut at Survivor Series 2012. This led to some speculation about a possible Shield reunion in WWE, but this is not likely at the time. Earlier this year, Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose of the Shield) signed a new deal with AEW, which..

WATCH: Nikki Cross Teases Return Of Former Stable

Welcome back? Stables have been a huge part of WWE for decades and that will likely continue to be the case for a long time to come. The idea makes perfect sense as a stable allows several wrestlers to get television time at once while often uniting under a common theme. Now a current WWE star is teasing the return of a stable which did not get the best chance in the company. WWE star Nikki Cross has released a video of herself talking to a series of drawings on a chalkboard. Cross blows bubbles at the pictures and says she’ll make sure the drawings will get what they want for Christmas before wiping them away. The drawing appears to be Cross from her time as part of the Sanity stable. This comes as rumors of Eric Young returning to WWE have been circulating, suggesting that Sanity could reform. However, there is nothing to confirm that the team will be back. She’s a bit out there. Check out Cross’ video and what could be coming back: [This post contains video, click to play] [This..

The New Generation: Former WWE Superstar Reveals Scrapped Plans For New League Of Nations

They had an idea. Stables are a concept that has worked in wrestling for decades and continues to do so to this day. It makes a lot of sense as well, as a stable allows several people with anywhere from identical to even somewhat related goals a chance to be on television together. WWE has used them for years, but there was one reincarnation that they passed on instead. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: Kurt Angle’s Huge Birthday Celebration Continues After SmackDown Ends Back in 2015, a group of international stars joined forces as the League Of Nations. The team, comprised of Wade Barrett, Rusev, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio, were a force in WWE until April 2016 when they split up for good. During an appearance on the 10 Count podcast, former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley revealed that WWE had considered relaunching the League Of Nations with Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and himself. Rawley did not say when this would have taken place or how far along the plans went. Rawley’s role in the group..

WATCH: Longtime AEW Stable Loses Member In Emotional Moment

It was nice while it lasted. AEW is a promotion with a large roster and only a few hours of television a week. As a result, their best option is to have several of their wrestlers put together in stables. This has been the case since the company was founded, but sometimes those stables have major issues. That was on display again this week, as a long running stable lost a member. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s An Idea: Original Concept For AEW Interim Titles, Possible Thinking Behind Them The main event of this week’s AEW Rampage saw the Dark Order team up against La Faccion Ingobernable. However, the Dark Order started the match down a man as 10 was nowhere to be seen. Later in the match, 10 arrived and turned on the Dark Order, siding with La Faccion Ingoberable. Following the match, 10 unmasked and threw his mask at Negative One, who had brought him out to the ring. This comes after weeks of Rush trying to purchase 10 from the Dark Order. They Weren’t Happy: Sheamus Reveals Backstage Heat Over Major Career Milestone

He was the new guy. One of the most difficult things for a wrestling promotion to do is elevate new stars into the main event scene. It is something that has to be done every now and then though, no matter how tricky it might be. The right wrestler has to be found in order to make it work, but even then there could be some issues. Now we know how things went a bit off when a new star was elevated. During an appearance on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Sheamus talked about how he was received backstage after winning the WWE Title from John Cena at Tables, Ladders And Chairs 2009. Sheamus had only been on WWE TV for about five and a half months when he won the title and said that nobody was very excited over what happened. Instead, Sheamus had backstage heat from some of the wrestlers who had been around for years and never got that kind of opportunity. Sheamus has gone on to become a four time World Champion during his WWE career. Sheamus has done alright for himself in WWE. Check ..

AEW Stable Turns On Its Employer In Surprise Twist

They’re already done. AEW has quite a few stars on its roster and as a result, several of them have been grouped together into various stables. There have been all kinds throughout the company’s history and many have gone in different directions. It means something when one of them does something big and that certainly took place this week as well. This week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman told the Firm to stay away from Jon Moxley before Full Gear. Following Moxley’s defeat of Penta El Cero Miedo, the Firm attacked Moxley, leading to Friedman coming to the ring and firing them as his stable on retainer. The Firm then beat Friedman up and put him through a table to end the show. It is not clear if this marks a full babyface turn for Friedman. Opinion: That was certainly a way to go for the story and I’m still not sure how it is going to wind up going. Friedman continues to be one of the most interesting people in all of wrestling and I want to see what he is going to be doing..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Making Changes To Several Premium Live Events

That would be different. WWE runs regular monthly premium live events as the focal point of their in-ring action. This includes several shows that the company has run for years if not decades, many of which are among the best known shows in wrestling. The company presents several shows that involve some kind of a special theme, but that might be changing going forward. According to Bryan Alvarez’s Super Fans Twitter account, by way of Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is planning to make a change to its premium live events starting in 2023. This would include more international events and fewer gimmick based events, such as Hell In A Cell or Tables Ladders And Chairs, for example. There is no word on what kind of shows would replace the originals. This comes after news broke that WWE was canceling it’s Day One event. Per Bryan Alvarez, WWE will make major changes to PPV/PLE events in 2023. Likely more international shows, less gimmick shows. — Wrestling News (@WrestlingNewsCo) October 16, 2022 ..

LOOK: Seth Rollins’ Unlikely Shield Replacements

The new wave? Stables are a way for a wrestling promotion to put stars together in a group and see what they can do. It has long since been a way to make things less complicated and some of the more iconic moments in wrestling have something to do with a stable. This is still the case in modern times and we got a strange call back to one of them over the weekend at a WWE live event. Over the weekend, WWE ran a live event in Bismarck, North Dakota. The show’s main event saw the Miz, Seth Rollins and Austin Theory team up against Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley. During the match, Lashley was knocked down, leaving Rollins to lead his partners in the Shield’s fist pose. Lashley and company would come back to win the match, which served as the show’s main event. But now it’s turned into a six team tag match between with @fightbobby teaming with @HEELZiggler and Kevin Owens against @_Theory1, @WWERollins and @mikethemiz #wwebismarck pic.twitter.com/QJyFuT4Ttg — The Willster (..

WATCH: Stable Splits Up On SmackDown

I guess it didn’t work out. There have been all kinds of stables throughout WWE history and some of them have been quite effective. It makes sense to pair a bunch of wrestlers together and see what you can get out of them collectively, which WWE has done several times over the years. It is still the case today, but now one of them has lost perhaps its most important member. This week’s SmackDown featured the Maximum Male Models attempting to break a record for the longest held pose in the history of Canada. However, Max Dupri broke it up just before the record, saying he was sick of the team not taking anything seriously. Dupri took off his belt with the group’s logo and threw it down, saying his LA Knight catchphrase of “yeah”. This comes after weeks of Dupri having issues with the team’s success. It didn’t end well. Check out the breakup: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is something that has needed to happen, as the Models team just wasn’t working. I’m st..

Huge Reunion Set For October 10 Monday Night Raw

It’s a homecoming. Stables have long since been a major concept in WWE and it makes a lot of sense. Putting a group of wrestlers together allows them to fill in more television time while also getting more people on the show. That is a tricky thing to do and a stable can make it that much easier. Now WWE is bringing back one of the biggest stables ever for a special reunion. As announced by the Barclays Center Twitter, D-Generation X will be reuniting to celebrate twenty five years of the team on the October 10 Monday Night Raw. The members who will be appearing are not specified but Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg and X-Pac appear in the clip. There is no word on what the team will be doing during their reunion. “Please Respect Our Privacy” – Bloodline Member Pushes Back Amid Tension In Roman Reigns’ Group

They’re working through it. There have been a lot of stables throughout WWE’s history and some of them have been incredibly successful. WWE still presents multiple stables to this day, with one of them being among the most dominant that the company has ever seen. That does not mean things are perfect though, as it seems the team might be having some issues at the moment. Over the last few months, Sami Zayn has been named an honorary member of the Bloodline, which has led to some issues with Jey Uso. This led to Uso costing Zayn a match against Ricochet last week on SmackDown. Zayn has since put out a statement, saying that the Bloodline is fine and asking fans to respect their privacy at this time. The rest of the team has yet to comment on the situation. Things got a little tense but The Bloodline is doing just fine.
