And now, the reaction. We are in the middle of another huge change in WWE, as Vince McMahon has returned to the company after retiring from the company last July. The move came after a rapid fire change of pace, as McMahon and two hand picked partners returned to the Board Of Directors less than twenty four hours after announcing his plans. Now we are seeing the reaction to the whole situation. Surprising Backstage Reaction To Brandi Rhodes Leaving AEW

Fare thee unwell? The biggest wrestling story of the week has been the announcement that Cody and Brandi Rhodes have left AEW. This was quite the shakeup, as Cody was one of the founders of the company and Brandi had been treated as a big deal throughout AEW’s existence. The pair are now gone though, and that has made for some surprising reactions from some people in AEW. According to Bryan Alvarez on the Wrestling Observer forum, by way of Wrestlingnews.co, several people backstage in AEW were happy that Brandi has left the company. While there were some names who have been supportive of Brandi after her departure, the majority are said to be happy that she is gone. There were no names mentioned as being happy or sad about Brandi leaving. Opinion: I don’t know how well Brandi was received backstage but this does not seem to paint her in the most positive light. Some people have to go. There are so many people on the WWE roster that the company has split them up into a few different rosters. That can make things a bit more interesting as WWE keeps Monday Night Raw and SmackDown fairly even, with NXT as a somewhat distant third. Then there is a fourth roster with NXT UK, which does not get quite the same level of attention. NXT UK has some talented wrestlers, but now one of them is on her way out. NXT UK’s Candy Floss has announced that she is leaving the company. Floss spoke about her departure due to her contract expiring on Twitter, where she talked about how her mother passed away from breast cancer in May 2019 before signing with WWE in January 2020. Her mother’s death caused her to develop PTSD, which caused her to take time away from the ring to deal with her mental health. Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was a guest on CBS Philly’s Howard Eskin Show, where he discussed what the three biggest moments of his career have been. Hogan first explained how he developed the character he made famous in WWE: “I had no idea [Hulkamania] was going to happen. When I got into the [pro] wrestling business, I loved the business. I was a fan, number one. But I just wanted to get into the business and be good enough, earn a good living, and be very supportive of the artform of [pro] wrestling. Now, I’d guess you’d call it sports entertainment.
