Do It Again: Title Change Takes Place At WWE Survivor Series

Hand it over. Winning a title can be the kind of change that makes all the difference in the world for a wrestler’s career. A wrestler becoming a champion for the first time often suggests that the promotion is moving them up to the next level and that there is some hope for your future. New Home? Important Streaming Trend Could Shake Up AEW And WWE Television Deals

That’s a good sign. Wrestling is in a weird place when compared to mainstream sports. While wrestling is certainly an athletic endeavor, it is closer to a performance than a competition. At the same time, wrestling has quite the audience and that is something that can bring in quite a bit of money. Now the two biggest wrestling companies in the United States might be ready to use their audience to bring in a lot more money. WATCH: 47 Year Old WWE Veteran Suggests Major Career Changes

The new version? Finding the right character for anyone is a difficult trick in wrestling. If someone is not presented in the right way, their career could be in a lot of trouble. There is always the option of switching things up, and that could be done in a variety of ways. Now it seems that WWE is making an effort to change up one of its longest standing veterans into something more serious. In recent weeks, Shelton Benjamin and R-Truth have teamed together on Main Event. This week, the two were backstage where Benjamin talked about how he needed to take things more seriously. Benjamin said that he had more of his career behind him than in front of him and everyone told him to be more serious around here. He explained that he describes himself as a former champion to remind himself of how good he used to be. Benjamin then walked away from R-Truth, who said nothing. This is a different way to go. Check out what Benjamin had to say: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion..

Veteran AEW Star Suggests His 29 Year Career Will End Soon

That would be a big loss. There are a lot of wrestlers who comprise the AEW roster. The company has so many wrestlers in a mixture of newcomers, established names and veterans, who have come together to make for quite the impressive collection. However, sometimes a wrestler is going to head off and that seems to be happening again with a long tenured star. AEW’s Christopher Daniels has sent out a tweet saying that he is getting close to the end of the in-ring part of his wrestling life. Daniels, 52 years old, has been wrestling since April 1993 and has wrestled in various promotions around the world. He is currently the Head Of Talent Relations and an occasional wrestler for AEW. Daniels most recently faced Konosuke Takeshita over the weekend at the Tokyo Game Show. I’m pretty sure I’m the first person to hold the distinction of wrestling for all of these great companies in their career. As I get close to the end of the in-ring part of my wrestling life, I’m honored & humbled to have..

AEW Star Suggests Tag Team Might Have Split

They might be done. Tag teams have a long history in wrestling and the modern era has seen a new emphasis on the idea. There are all kinds of great teams out there and a lot of them are in AEW. During its history, the company has presented several teams, allowing a variety of wrestlers a chance to shine. That being said, not every team can be around forever and now one star is heavily suggesting that his team is coming to an end. During a new interview on the Cafe de Rene with Rene Dupree podcast, AEW’s Brian Pillman Jr. implied that the Varsity Blonds, his team with Griff Garrison, was done. Pillman talked about how AEW took away Julia Hart, who joined the House Of Black, which ended the team’s appeal. He also said that he hoped when people looked back on the team, they did so fondly. It was not specifically said that the team was broken up. They have not wrestled together since since August 21. Opinion: As much as I like the team, this might be for the best. They have lost so many ..

Speculation About What Kind Of New Show AEW Could Be Developing

They have a plan for that. AEW has been around for less than four years but already have four series a week. That shows how much talent the company has around, which is one of the company’s greatest strengths. They have been able to spread their roster around so much but now they might be taking a rather large group of wrestlers could be getting its own spotlight. Last month, AEW filed a trademark for a wrestling show called All Elite Women. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the show does not seem to be a reality show. The fact that the trademark was filed suggests that the show is likely to take place in some way. It is not clear if the show will be an ongoing series or a one off event, or when it will be taking place. Opinion: This has me intrigued as the women’s division has been a bit all over the place for AEW. What matters most is that the talent is there, but now the question becomes what happens to all of those wrestlers. Putting them on their own show co..

Crossover? NXT Fight Takes Place Backstage At WWE SmackDown

You have to get it in where you can. There are several WWE shows every single week with each one looking at a different core of wrestlers. This includes both main roster shows as well as NXT, which has its own world and group of stars. It can be interesting to see someone from NXT get involved with something on the main roster and now that has happened again (kind of). The NXT Twitter account has released a photo of a brawl that took place between Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner at last week’s SmackDown taping. The two have been feuding in NXT and it is unlikely that the brawl suggests that the two are being called up. Instead, the fight was likely held at SmackDown due to the show being taped near the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The footage will likely air on this week’s NXT. On Friday night there was an altercation between @WWEVonWagner and @WWESoloSikoa at #SmackDown. Tune in this Tuesday on #WWENXT at 8/7 C on @USA_Network to see what went down! pic.twitter.com/nH8Q7kJTd0 ..

Cool Piece Of Wrestling Merchandise Suggests Former NXT Star May Head To AEW

Maybe he’ll swing by. There have been a lot of moves throughout the major wrestling rosters in recent years and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are ending. It can be fascinating to see who goes where and what happens to them, though it can be equally interesting to speculate on what is happening. That seems to be the case again, mainly due to a new piece of merchandise. AEW’s official online store is now selling an art print by former NXT star Sam Shaw (better known as Dexter Lumis). The print is from an original painting of Jon Moxley as done by Shaw and is individually numbers out of two hundred. There is no word on if this means Shaw is set to appear for AEW or if it is just a piece of memorabilia available. The 18×24 inch poster sells for $34.99. Just in- Only 200 AVAILABLE! Check out @JonMoxley’s Portrait of Violence at https://t.co/9hHlXpcSbp! They will be hand numbered. pic.twitter.com/xxCPWLFBKB — ShopAEW.com (@ShopAEW) June 9, 2022 Opinion: This is the kind ..

VIDEO: Roman Reigns Suggests He Won’t Team With The Usos Again

No more? There are quite a few families throughout wrestling history and some of them have some rather positive reputations. A big wrestling family can be incredibly successful with one member after another achieving success. That is the case with some modern wrestling families, but it seems that you might not be seeing one of them teaming up again very often. The main event of last weekend’s WrestleMania Backlash saw the Bloodline, comprised of Roman Reigns and the Usos, defeated Drew McIntyre and RKBro in the main event. Following the win, Reigns posted a video to his Instagram page, talking about the team’s future. Reigns suggested that it would be the last time the three of them would team together in a six man tag. According to Reigns, it was only the seconds time that the three man version of the team had wrestled a televised six man tag. This could mean a few things. Check out what Reigns had to say: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: These Reigns stories are..
