WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Sold To Saudi Arabia, Huge Change Coming To Company

That would be a huge one. There have been all kinds of changes to WWE in recent months and now things are ramping up to a degree that would never have seemed possible. The idea of the company being sold seems a lot more likely than ever before and now there is a rumor circulating that not only has the sale been decided, but it would be one of the most unique situations in wrestling history. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: She’s All Gone Now: More Details On Stephanie McMahon Leaving WWE (Again) To clarify: the following has NOT been verified by WWE or any mainstream news source and is considered a RUMOR at this point: On Tuesday night, Cassidy Hayes of Bodyslam.net posted a report saying that WWE had been sold to the Saudi Investment Fund and would be going private again (meaning there would be no stock holders) under the new ownership. The same was also reported by Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN. However, Sean Ross Sapp said that his WWE contacts “claimed to not know” anything about such a sale...

The Next Big Thing: Triple H Reveals Brock Lesnar Is Selling Meat

Eat it before he eats you. Wrestlers can do a lot of things and some of them have nothing to do with what goes on in the ring. Sometimes you hear about them doing something outside of wrestling, possibly using their celebrity status to get the word out a bit easier. That is apparently the case with a top WWE star, even if you have never heard of them before. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Danger Of War: Bloodline Member Possibly Injured During WarGames Triple H recently appeared on Snack Wars, where he mentioned being a fan of beef jerky. As an aside, Triple H mentioned that Brock Lesnar has his own line of beef jerky, which is called “Bearded Butcher Brock Lesnar Beef Bites” which are sold on Bearded Butchers’ online store, though as of this writing, they are out of stock. Lesnar has never mentioned the product on WWE TV. It is not clear when Lesnar will return to WWE. Lesnar can do a lot of things outside of the beef jerky business. WWE Has An Interesting Plan For Its Women’s Division

They have a goal in mind. There are a lot of very talented women in WWE and they have done a great job in bringing the women’s division up to a level that few believed possible. It has been quite the ride to see what has happened over the years and it has been very positive. At some point you need some fresh talent though and WWE seems to be looking into acquiring it. According to Fightful Select, WWE is looking to restock its women’s division with experienced stars. This includes the re-signing of Emma, along with interest in bringing back Tegan Nox and Chelsea Green. However, Green told Fightful that she has not been contacted about a return and has independent bookings set through March 2023. There is no word on other women potentially returning. Opinion: This is one of those ideas that makes a lot of sense, as signing a bunch of new stars to use as filler can damage their future potential. People like Emma, Nox and Green are names that have been around for a bit, either in WWE or..

Vince McMahon Made Two Additional Payments Totaling $5 Million

The saga continues. According to multiple reports, WWE has filed a new notice with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), claiming that they learned of two additional payments totaling $5 million that was paid by Vince McMahon. The filing claims that the payments are unrelated to the $14.6 million in “certain unrecorded expenses” that date back to 2006. This scandal played a huge part in McMahon stepping down as CEO of WWE and retiring. The filing reads as follows: “On June 17, 2022, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (the “Company”) and its Board of Directors announced that a special committee of independent members of the Board of Directors (the “Special Committee”) was conducting an investigation into alleged misconduct by the Company’s former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Vincent K. McMahon, who resigned from all positions held with the Company on July 22, 2022 but remains a stockholder with a controlling interest, and another executive, who is also..

I’ll Buy That: WWE Employees Barred From Trading Stock Due To Vince McMahon’s Retirement

There’s a new rule. Over the last few weeks, WWE has been shaken up in ways that it never has been before. The main change has been due to Vince McMahon retiring from the company, which has certainly changed the way the company works. There are going to be ripple effects, and now we know how the departure has directly impacted the company’s employees. According to Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston and independently confirmed by PWInsider.com, WWE employees are banned from buying or selling shares of stock in the company until further notice. There is no word on why the company decided to make the change. WWE employees occasionally receive stock as part of their compensation, and it is not clear if that practice is suspended as well. Opinion: That’s a bit of a weird one, but there is always the chance that this is designed to avoid the risk of any sort of insider trading issues. With the company being all over the place at the moment, it might make sense to cut off one potential headach..

BREAKING: Vince McMahon Officially Retires From WWE

It actually happened. There is no one in the history of wrestling as powerful as Vince McMahon. Whether you like him or not, McMahon has been the force in wrestling for well over twenty years now and anything he says or does can change the industry as a whole. No one has ever had his kind of power or influence, but now two people are going to have to try. On Friday afternoon, McMahon announced that he is officially retiring as Chairman and CEO of WWE. McMahon said that at 77 years old, it was time for him to go. He also announced that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan will be co-CEO, with Stephanie serving as Chairwoman. Vince will still be the majority stockholder in WWE, though there is no word on what this means for his status as head of creative. This comes amid an investigation into Vince over hush money payments for a series of alleged affairs with various women in WWE. At 77, time for me to retire. Thank you, WWE Universe. Then. Now. Forever. Together. #WWE #thankful — Vince ..

Two Different Plans: WWE Released Edge’s Handpicked Judgment Day Member

Call it an eye for talent. WWE has a lot of resources available to it and one of their biggest is the talent roster. The company is able to stockpile wrestlers in NXT and call them up when necessary. That can lead to some interesting moments when someone gets to make their main roster debut. That was to be the case recently, but a last minute change shook things up. Last month, WWE released a group of NXT wrestlers due to feeling that they were not progressing fast enough. One of the names released was Harland, who had been serving as Joe Gacy’s enforcer. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Edge had picked Harland to be the fourth member of the Judgment Day stable but the company let him go instead. While not specified, it is said that this is due to WWE finding out something about Harland that warranted the release. Opinion: I’m not sure what happened here, but Harland being called up to the main roster so fast after his debut would certainly have been a change. Harland ..

WWE Releases More NXT Wrestlers/Coaches

We’re not done yet. WWE’s string of releases has shaken up the company, as dozens and dozens of wrestlers have been released to the free agent market. It allows other promotions to restock their shelves in a hurry and that is the kind of thing that can be a complete game changer. Now it seems to be the case again, as more NXT wrestlers are being let go. Earlier today, WWE released several names from NXT, though there were no wrestlers included. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE has released some wrestlers from NXT, including Hideki Suzuki, Danny Burch and Timothy Thatcher. All three had been absent from television, but had been coaching at the Performance Center. Cathy Corino, better known as Allison Danger, has also been let go from her coaching role. Current Ring Of Honor Champion Attends WWE Tryout

You have to restock the shelves. WWE has released all kinds of wrestlers from the company in recent months, including nearly two hundred wrestlers between the main roster and NXT. The idea is to move towards younger stars, which can be difficult to find at times. Every now and then WWE will look around and see what they can find, which seems to be the case again with a current champion. According to PWInsider.com, current Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Rok-C took part in a WWE tryout camp in Orlando, Florida. Rok-C signed with Ring of Honor earlier this year but like everyone else in the company, her contract will be expiring at some point before March. There is no word on what would happen to the title should Rok-C be offered a deal and opt to sign with WWE. Rok-C is nineteen years old and was trained by Booker T. She has done well in her limited time. Check out what Rok-C has done in Ring of Honor: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to pla..

WWE Is Asking Fans To Help Fix NXT

At least they’re listening. To say NXT has been changed a lot in recent months would be a huge understatement. NXT has gone from one of the most popular WWE products to something a lot closer to a laughingstock among some fans. It has not been a great transition into NXT 2.0, but now WWE is showing some signs of being willing to listen to the fans. According to PWInsider.com, WWE has sent out an email to its mailing list, asking for fan feedback on NXT 2.0. The survey includes a series of questions about the quality of NXT and asks fans to agree or disagree with each one. The questions are all about specific aspects of the show, such as interactions and character development, but there are no specific wrestlers mentioned. Here are the questions included: *This show has many unique and exciting characters. *I enjoy the athleticism of the wrestling talent on the show. *This show has some of my favorite professional wrestling characters. *Character development is believable. *Wrestling t..

WWE Gets Approval To Lose A Lot Of Money Soon

It’s one less thing. WWE is a huge company and that offers a lot of benefits. At the same time though, it can cause some problems of its own, as there are going to be some decisions made that can force the company to do things it might not want. There is a good chance that this has to do with money, and that is the case again this time, as WWE is going to have to cut some checks. WWE has announced that they have received preliminary approval of a settlement in a lawsuit filed against the company last year. Stockholders Ryan Merholz and Melvyn Klein sued WWE, along with several company executives, including Vince and Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, George Barrios and more, over making decisions that did not have the best interests of the shareholders in mind. There is no word on how much WWE will have to pay. WWE has had some money issues before. WWE Planning Brock Lesnar Passing Of The Torch WrestleMania Match

It would be a generational match. WWE is in a weird place at the moment as they are having to try and figure out a way to restock their shelves but continue to rely on their old guard in big spots. At some point WWE has to bring in someone new and those older stars could help elevate them in a hurry. That might be the case with a recent signing to the company. Last week, WWE officially signed Gable Steveson, an Olympic Gold Medal winning wrestler, to a contract with the company. According to F4WOnline.com, WWE is planning to have Steveson face Brock Lesnar in a special match at WrestleMania in a passing of the torch style moment. It is not clear when this will happen or when Steveson will be making his debut for the company. Steveson is scheduled to return to the University of Minnesota to defend his NCAA Heavyweight Championship next season. This has potential. Usos’ Brother, Son Of Former WWE Star, More Highlight New NXT Class

Keep the shelves stocked. There have been a lot of wrestlers leaving WWE and NXT over the last few months and that is likely to be the case again in the future. The shelves have been greatly depleted in a near record time, but that at some point some new wrestlers are going to be brought in. That seems to be the case again, and there are some names that might ring a bell. WWE has announced six new names as part of the Performance Center Class of August 2021. VIDEO: New Olympic Gold Medal Winning Wrestler Wants In WWE

It worked before. When you break it down to its purest form, wrestling is not complicated. Ultimately, a match is usually won by holding someone down or making them submit in a hold. It is one of the most basic forms of athletics that you are going to find and it has been around for a very long time. There have been some high level people involved in it, and now WWE might be going after another one. This week in Tokyo, Tamyra Mensah-Stock won a Gold Medal in the 68kg division in freestyle wrestling. Following her win, she was asked if she would ever consider signing with WWE, replying that she had always wanted to. WWE tweeted out a video of the response. There is no word on any possible negotiations between the two sides or if she is planning to continue amateur wrestling. WWE has a history with Olympians, with the most famous example being Kurt Angle, a former Gold Medal winner in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Other Olympians have tried their hand in WWE, including Ronda Rou..

Former WWE Star Likely Signing With AEW Soon

She’s worth it. AEW has done a lot of good things in its still relatively short existence and that has made for some interesting moments. In addition to the company developing its main division, its women’s division has come a very long way as well. The company always needs some fresh talent to restock the shelves though and now they might have another name coming in. According to Fightful Select, Ruby Soho, formerly known as Ruby Riott in WWE, is expected to be signed to AEW as soon as her no compete clause expires. Her clause expires just before All Out on September 5, meaning she could appear at the show. Soho has not appeared for any kind of event since her release on June 2. WWE Executives Sell Off Some Stock For Serious Money

They made some money. While it might be easy to forget at times, WWE is ultimately a business, meaning the point is to make as much money as possible. If the company makes more money, the owners are happier with what is going on. That is the case both of the company as a whole and for its individual stockholders, some of whom have made a few moves of their own. According to Fightful.com, several WWE executives have sold varying amounts of stock in the company. There is no word on why they have done so and there is nothing to suggest that any of their WWE statuses will be changing whatsoever. The stocks were sold at a price of $48.68. 205 Live Results – July 9, 2021

205 Live Date: July 9, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph The debut of the newly stocked 205 Live will have to wait another week as it is time for more Breakout Tournament preview matches. Last week’s matches were not exactly thrilling and did not leave me overly excited for the rest. Maybe this week’s can be an improvement, which shouldn’t be that difficult. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Josh Briggs vs. Asher Hale Briggs is a 6’8 monster and not exactly a cruiserweight. The fans are behind Hale as he gets slammed down without much effort. The smaller Hale can’t drop toehold him but a small package gets a fast two. Briggs is sent outside for a running knee from the apron but he is right back in for a shot to the face. There’s a hard whip into the corner to give Briggs two and a release side slam drops Hale again. A splash gets two and a chinlock has Hale in more trouble. Hale gets big booted out to the floor but..

WWE Loses Tens Of Millions Of Dollars In Lawsuit Settlement

Money, money, money. WWE has grown into a wrestling promotion the size of which almost could not be imagined in previous eras. Over a few decades, WWE has grown from a regional promotion in the northeastern United States into the biggest wrestling promotion in history. The company is truly international, but this time around, they are losing a bit of money over an international deal. According to Bloomberg Law, a $39 million settlement between WWE and a group of investors has been granted final approval. The original lawsuit was filed in November 2020 over WWE’s business relationship with Saudi Arabia. The investors accused WWE of making misleading statements about the relationship, which caused the company’s stock value to drop. WWE did not object to the settlement and admitted no fault. It was kind of a mess. Check out the deal that set everything off: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] ..
