That would be a different way to go. Legends can do a lot of good things in wrestling as they offer a variety of unique opportunities that regular stars cannot pull off. It can mean a lot to have a legend pop up in the right spot and that is still the case today in WWE. This time around, we might be in for a major story involving a past star mixing it up with a current top star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re The Ones: The Usos Become First Team Ever To Reach This WWE Milestone Last month, Trish Stratus made a surprise return to help Lita and Becky Lynch win the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The three are now set for a six woman tag against Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39. According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, the current plan is for Stratus to turn on Lynch and feud with her throughout the summer, leading to a match between the two at Summerslam. There is no word on when the turn will take place. The long term plan, as of this moment, is that Trish Stratus will turn heel and work a pro..
He’s worth something! Stables have been one of the most important recurring concepts in wrestling as they solve multiple problems at once. Above all else, it can allow wrestlers to get on television a bit more, as instead of short spots from individual people, they can appear together for longer stretches. Now a legend wants to join one of the most prominent modern stables. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Return: Vince McMahon Backstage At Monday Night Raw (With A Huge Change) Mick Foley has released his video resume in an attempt to join the Judgment Day. Foley lists off several of his career highlights, including a focus on his times flying off of Hell In A Cell. During the video, Foley also makes fun of Dominik Mysterio’s time in prison and includes an Al Snow reference. Thus far, Judgment Day has not responded to Foley’s offering to join the team. This is something different. Check out the resume, plus the two sides in action: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post c..
It’s Revolution and things are not exactly feeling hot coming into the show. The main event is a sixty minute Iron Man match with Bryan Danielson challenging MJF for the World Title, which means there won’t be as much time for the usual deep card this time. Other than that, we have Hangman Page vs. Jon Moxley in a Texas Death Match and Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy in what seems to be a Buried Alive match. Let’s get to it. Zero Hour: Mark Briscoe/Lucha Bros vs. Ari Daivari/Varsity Athletes The Mark Briscoe vs. Mark Sterling and company feud continues for reasons I don’t think I follow. Briscoe also has some new friends in the Lucha Bros and that means we could be in for a new trio. The division could certainly use them, but for now they have to get rid of something like this, as AEW is giving them a nice spot to get their feet wet as a three man team. Of course I’ll take Briscoe and the Bros here, as there is no reason to suggest that Daivari and company will ever be winning anything..
It’s a dangerous sport. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can get hurt inside the ring but it can be just as dangerous outside. No matter how much training a wrestler might have had or how much experience they have under their belt, there is the chance that something could go wrong. It can be made even worse with a dangerous spot, and now again it has caused a wrestler to be hurt. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Needs A New Spot: AEW Star Dropped From Current Storyline On the January 13 edition of AEW Rampage, Anna Jay took part in a street fight, teaming with Tay Melo against Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. During the match, Jay was powerbombed off the stage and through a table, only to miss the table and land on the floor instead. Jay revealed on her Twitter that she has suffered dislocated ribs as a result of the landing.
