AEW Dynamite Results – February 15, 2023

Dynamite Date: February 15, 2023 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We are less than a month away from Revolution and as of last week, we officially have a main event. Bryan Danielson earned his title shot against MJF, which will come in the form of a sixty minute iron man match. With that out of the way, the rest of the card needs to be built up so let’s get to it. In Memory of Jerry Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt/Satnam Singh vs. Orange Cassidy/Billy Gunn/Acclaimed Bowens runs Lethal over to start and it’s off to Caster for two off a powerslam. Jarrett comes in and drops Caster before handing it off to Singh. Gunn, who almost a foot shorter than Singh, wants to come in but it’s Cassidy coming in instead. Actually it’s Dutt getting Cassidy instead……or actually make that Billy vs. Jeff. Cue the Gunns to mock the scissoring before telling various people to suck it. Lethal gets in a knee to the back to take Billy down ..

AEW Dynamite Results – January 18, 2023

Dynamite Date: January 18, 2023 Location: Save Mart Center, Fresno, California Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We’re about six weeks away from Revolution and that means Bryan Danielson is still on the road to getting his Iron Man match with MJF for the World Title. Other than that, Orange Cassidy is defending the All-Atlantic Title against Jay Lethal and Ricky Starks continues his issues with the Jericho Appreciation Society. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Jay Briscoe. All-Atlantic Title: Jay Lethal vs. Orange Cassidy Cassidy is defending and there are no seconds, though here are Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt through the crowd to take fans’ seats. They start fast with Cassidy grabbing a small package and backslide for two each before Lethal knocks him outside. Cue Danhausen, who is now an usher, demanding to see Jarrett and company’s tickets. Because reasons, they hand them over, and Danhausen waves over the Best Friends (with concessions) to sit behind them..

There It Is: Vince McMahon Officially Returns To WWE Board Of Directors

That didn’t take long. To say that WWE is rapidly changing at this point would be a huge understatement as the major backstage pieces keep moving around. There were all kinds of changes last year, including one at the very top of the company. Now things have changed back in the other direction after a very short time, as the original boss is back in a huge way. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: She’s In: Update On Ronda Rousey’s WWE Status Following Title Loss Earlier this week, Vince McMahon announced that he was attempting to return to WWE’s Board Of Directors by threatening to block any potential sale or media rights deal. Less than twenty four hours later, three members of the WWE Board Of Directors (JoEllen Lyons Dillon, Jeffrey R. Speed, Alan M. Wexler) have officially been removed, allowing McMahon and former co-Presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson to take their places. Following the change, other members Ignace Lahoud and Man Jit Singh resigned. There is no word on any potentia..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 2, 2022

Dynamite Date: November 2, 2022 Location: Chesapeake Arena, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We are less than three weeks away from Full Gear and just over a month away from Ring Of Honor Final Battle so we are going to be in for some pretty important moments over the next few weeks. The big story coming into this week continues to be MJF, who seems to be teasing one heck of a face turn. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Darby Allin vs. Jay Lethal They start fast on the floor with Allin mounting him and hammering away despite his taped up ribs. The bell rings and they get inside, with Allin hitting a running crossbody out to the floor. Cue Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh with the latter deterring Allin from a dive, allowing Lethal to monkey flip Allin ribs first into the steps. Lethal puts him under the barricade and puts on the Figure Four before kicking at the leg on the apron. A German suplex on the apron rocks Allin and we take a break. Back with L..

Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch Reunite With Former WWE Stars

It’s a reunion. There are all kinds of wrestlers who pass through the WWE roster at one point or another. Some of them make a huge impact but the majority are often little more than footnotes in the company’s history. While they may be talented, they might not have gotten the kind of a chance they needed to go somewhere. Now two top WWE stars have reunited with two talented wrestlers who never got much of a shot. Former WWE stars the Bollywood Boyz (better known as Sunil and Samir Singh) recently visited Seth Rollins’ CrossFit and posed for a photo with Rollins and his wife Becky Lynch. The brothers also praised Rollins Deadboys Fitness program while referring to Rollins and Lynch as their “road family”. The Boyz were released from WWE in June 2021 and have worked on the independent circuit since. Just like ol’ times with the “road” family. @deadboysfitness In a business full of adversity & uncertainty, you can only stay inspired & disciplined around individuals who have reached th..

WATCH: Former WWE And AEW Star Makes Surprise Debut

He found a new home. The rise of AEW has done a lot for the wrestling world, but it has also done something very important for the fans. By offering wrestlers a new place to go, WWE is no longer the only major game in town. Even then though, there are other promotions with very lucrative broadcasting deals of their own. Now a former WWE and AEW star is heading to one of them. Impact Wrestling held its annual Victory Road event this week. During the show, former AEW and WWE star Bobby Fish appeared and, after referencing his issues with CM Punk, said he wanted a fight. Raj Singh and Mahabali Shera interrupted and were beaten up by Fish. This marks Fish’s debut with Impact Wrestling, following his AEW contract expiring and making him a free agent. It was quite the debut. Check out Fish in his new home: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: It is always nice to see someone like Fish pop up elsewhere. Fish is a very talented wrest..

AEW Battle Of The Belts III Results

Battle Of The Belts III Date: August 6, 2022 Location: Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, Michigan Commentators: Taz, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone It’s time for another of these specials and I’m not sure what to expect from something like this. AEW does not seem to be the most interested in running these shows but that very well might have a lot to do with the shows being network mandates. At least we should get some good action so let’s get to it. TNT Title: Jay Lethal vs. Wardlow Lethal, with Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, is challenging. Wardlow shoves him around to start and a big toss sends Lethal outside. Lethal gets in a cheap shot though and scores with an enziguri back inside. A tilt-a-whirl slam gets Wardlow out of trouble but Lethal knocks him outside for the suicide dive. That means Lethal can get in the strut before wrapping Wardlow’s leg around the post. We take a break and come back with Lethal having to escape the powerbomb. Instead Wardlow goes with a clothesline to turn Let..

AEW Dynamite Results – August 3, 2022

Dynamite Date: August 3, 2022 Location: Schottenstein Center, Columbus, Ohio Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Taz We’re rapidly coming up on All Out but first we need to get through this weekend’s Battle Of The Belts, which is apparently a thing that is happening. So far there is one match announced and that means we will probably get the rest of the card announced. Whether that is in rapid fire or with more traditional announcements remains to be seen, but Excalibur is probably warming up his throat. Let’s get to it. Jay Lethal vs. Orange Cassidy Cassidy rolls him up to start and knocks Lethal up the ramp, setting up the lazy kicks. Lethal crawls away but it’s Satnam Singh waiting at the top of the ramp. Cue the Best Friends, with Trent on Taylor’s shoulders, to be taller than Singh, who leaves for no logical reason. With that HILARIOUS visual gag out of the way, we get back in and Cassidy hits a high crossbody but the tornado DDT is countered into a dragon screw legwhip. Ca..

AEW Rampage Results – July 29, 2022

Rampage Date: July 29, 2022 Location: DCU Center, Worcester, Massachusetts Commentators: Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross It’s another night of Fight For The Fallen, which went very well on Wednesday so maybe they can keep it up here. You never know what that might mean but the more star power this show can have, the better it is going to be. I’m not sure what that is going to be this week, but Rampage can be quite fun. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Best Friends vs. Satnam Singh/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt Dutt is still in his suit, complete with pencil behind his ear. Trent and Lethal start things off with Trent countering la majistral into a cradle for two. That means a standoff and the fans seem pleased. Cassidy comes in (under the bottom rope) and gets Dutt, who takes off his jacket and tie, which he hands to the referee. Jericho: “That’s a $5000 suit he’s wrestling in!” Ross: “You really believe that?” Jericho: “Well it’s wrestling.” Cassidy puts his sunglass..

He’s Done: AEW Name Confirms He Is Officially Retired From The Ring

He’s saying never. Wrestlers have a strange career trajectory as they have to get out of the ring one day, but it is easy for them to stick around for one more match. Several wrestlers over the years have done just this for a very long time, but there are others who are able to get out of the ring for good. It might not be their choice though, and that seems to be the case again. AEW’s Sonjay Dutt appeared on the AEW Unrestricted podcast to discuss his current role in the company and his own career. Dutt mentioned that he now works full time behind the scenes for AEW, as well as acting as Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh’s on-screen manager. As for wrestling a match, Dutt said there will be “zero chance” that he will ever wrestle again. Dutt mentioned that he had a variety of physical issues that were keeping him out of the ring. Dutt’s most recent match took place on December 28, 2017. Opinion: It’s nice to see someone with this kind of a perspective on wrestling, as well as someone who ..

Here we go again. The biggest wrestling story of 2021 was the amount of releases taking place over the course of the year, as over 100 names left WWE in one way or another. The vast majority of those people were released from the company, with several of those releases coming out of nowhere. Now it is a new year and it seems that we are seeing it happen again. These names include: William Regal Road Dogg Dave Kapoor (aka Runjin Singh) Ryan Katz (creative producer) Scott Armstrong George Caroll (writer) In addition to the NXT releases, Senior Vice President of Consumer Products Sarah Cummins has left the company, though it is not clear what led to her departure. This is the first batch of releases of the new year and it is not clear if any more releases will be coming at the moment. There are a lot of talented people leaving. Impact Wrestling Results – December 16, 2021

Impact Wrestling Date: December 16, 2021 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Matt Striker, D’Lo Brown We’re on the way to Hard To Kill and the card is starting to take shape. That means we should have some good stuff coming up in the next few weeks, as Impact can give us some nice final pushes into major shows. Matt Cardona is still building momentum on the way to the biggest match of his career and that could continue this week. Let’s get to it. In Memory of Jimmy Rave. Opening recap looks at last week’s main event, with W. Morrissey’s temper costing him a chance to get Matt Cardona out of the Hard To Kill main event. Opening sequence. Rohit Raju vs. Josh Alexander Raj Singh is here with Raju. A single right hand annoys Alexander so Raju is already hiding in the ropes. That earns him a hiptoss out of the corner as Alexander’s bad ribs don’t seem to be bothering him to start. They head outside with Alexander taking out Singh but getting said ribs driven into..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 4, 2021

Impact Wrestling Date: November 4, 2021 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Matt Striker, D’Lo Brown Things are staying interesting after Bound For Glory as Moose is the World Champion and needs some friends to go after his challengers. This time around, that means a guest star in the form of Minoru Suzuki, who will be in for a six man tag. I think that’s enough to hype up the show so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Steve Maclin vs. Rohit Raju vs. Laredo Kid vs. Black Taurus For a future X-Division Title shot and Raj Singh and Crazzy Steve are here too. Maclin and Taurus clear the ring to start and take turns running the ropes until Taurus scores with a clothesline to the floor. The two of them wind up on the floor and Laredo hits a moonsault onto everyone else. Back in and Raju hammers Kid into the corner, setting up a sitout gordbuster for two. Taurus comes back in so Kid hurricanranas out back to the floor, setting up a dive for two. Raju..

Trish Stratus Is Getting A Very Cool New Job

It’s a new path. Wrestlers are in a weird place when it comes to celebrity status. While they are often on national television, they are often only known for being wrestlers. That often limits what kind of star power they can have, though every now and then you see someone move a few steps beyond. Now we are going to see a wrestling legend moving into a new field. WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has announced that she will be a guest judge on the upcoming reboot of Canada’s Got Talent. The series will premiere in early 2022 after being off the air since 2012. Stratus will be one of the four judges, along with Howie Mandel, Kardinal Offishall and Lilly Singh. Stratus retired from WWE in 2006 but has returned for some short term appearances in the years since. Stratus certainly had talent. Check out what she did in her WWE career: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is always ..

WATCH: Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton From Money in the Bank 2017

The Maharaja defends his title. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at the 2017 Money in the Bank pay-per-view. You can see the match in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: The Modern-Day Maharaja didn’t just defeat The Apex Predator to retain the WWE Championship he won in shocking fashion last month at WWE Backlash, he did it in front of Orton’s hometown crowd and a cadre of “St. Louis Legends” at ringside that included Greg Gagne, Larry “The Axe” Hennig, Baron Von Raschke, Sgt. Slaughter, Ric Flair and The Viper’s father, “Cowboy” Bob Orton. With that kind of support, Orton was feeling it from the second he walked through the curtain, and the crowd’s chants of “RKO” very nearly willed The Viper to hit his fearsome finishing move just seconds into the match. But thanks to an assist from The Singh Brothers, Orton found himself flip..

Wrestling World Reacts To Latest WWE Releases

People are going to have opinions. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been WWE’s rapid fire releases. Dozens of wrestlers and WWE names have been released from the company over the course of the year and even more were let go this week. Some of the names were surprising choices and now the reactions to those releases have started to come in. WWE released fourteen names from the company on Friday, including Tyler Breeze, Fandango, August Grey, Marina Shafir, Killian Dain, Tino Sabbatelli, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Chase Parker, Matt Martel, Samir Singh, Sunil Singh, Curt Stallion and Arturo Ruas. These names were mainly from NXT and 205 Live with some of them having several years of experience. Following their releases, several in the wrestling industry have given their opinions on the situation. *BREAKING NEWS* Tonight’s @WWE205Live Main Event has just been turned into a LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH! Don’t miss it!!! pic.twitter.com/SmApTs3ugu — Anthony Greene (@AugustGreyWWE)..

WWE Releases Six More Wrestlers

Even more down. One of the biggest stories of the year has been WWE’s huge round of cuts. WWE has let dozens of wrestlers go from the company, with some of them being fairly high profile names. Almost no one on the roster has been immune to what has been happening though and that has made for some big shakeups. There were even more of them today and the list keeps growing. In addition to the seven names released from the company earlier today, WWE has also released six more names later in the day. According to PWInsider.com, Marina Shafir, the Bollywood Boyz (Sunil and Samir Singh), Curt Stallion and Arturo Ruas have all been released from the company. Finally, NXT’s Killain Dain has confirmed his own release via Twitter. Shafir is a former mixed martial artist and a member of the Four Horsewomen of MMA. The Bollywood Boyz have been longstanding members of the 205 Live roster and appeared with Jinder Mahal as the Singh Brothers. Stallion had been on 205 Live as well, but has been out..

205 Live Results – June 11, 2021

205 Live Date: June 11, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph I’m really not sure what to expect around here, but my guess is that the same problems that have been around for years will still be around here. That being said, it would be foolish to expect anything else so all we can ask for is some good action, which has been the case as of late. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Grayson Waller vs. Sunil Singh They’re both on their own. They start fast by running the ropes until a side kick drops Singh. Back up and Singh seems to have injured his shoulder, which is made even worse as Waller grabs an armbar over the ropes. Waller kicks him in the face and we hit the neck crank, with Waller being nice enough to trap the healthy arm. A missed splash gives Singh an opening but that arm is just hanging there. Singh snaps him throat first across the rope and manages a top rope chop to the head. Another attempt is kicked out o..

Two WWE Wrestlers Injured Friday Night

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are a horrible thing to see in wrestling as they can change a wrestler’s career in the blink of an eye. Some injuries are a lot worse than others but it is never a good thing to see a wrestler get injured in any way. Unfortunately there is no way around them, and there were a pair of them in a single night in a single company this week. Two WWE wrestlers were injured on Friday night. WWE has announced that Montez Ford suffered a partial rib fracture and torn cartilage due to an attack by Otis during SmackDown. Otis attacked Ford after interfering in a match between Ford and Chad Gable. This was not announced during SmackDown and may be a storyline to advance the Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy feud. The second feud took place on 205 Live, as Sunil Singh was injured during a match against Grayson Waller. Singh announced via Twitter that he had dislocated his right shoulder during the match and included photos of himself holding his shoulder and sitti..

205 Live Results – June 4, 2021

205 Live Date: June 4, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness There are some new wrestlers around here but things are already starting to sink into the same problems the show has had for months now. I’m hoping that they find some way to make it better, but there are only so many things that can be done with the limitations that 205 Live has. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ari Sterling vs. Sunil Singh A rollup gives Sterling a quick one but he has to fight out of a headlock. Sunil gets knocked outside so the Boyz try to make a switch….which doesn’t work as they don’t look alike. The referee tells Samir to get out but Sunil uses the distraction to come in for a chop block. Some leg cranking ensues but Sterling kicks him over the top for trying a cannonball. Sunil takes him down again though and it’s a slingshot elbow to the knee to put Sterling in trouble again. The Bollywood Lock goes on but Sterling turns it over for..
