VIDEO: Special Tribute Entrance Before This Week’s SmackDown

Sticking to the classics. There are a lot of things that go into making someone a star in wrestling and some of them are a bit more obvious than others. One of the most important things is their entrance music, especially if it is part of a grand entrance package. That has been the case more than once over the years and someone paid tribute to a classic this week. A video has been posted to Twitter showing SmackDown broadcaster Pat McAfee making his entrance to Metallica’s Enter Sandman while carrying a Singapore cane. McAfee beat on the announcers’ table with the cane before taking his seat. This was done as a tribute to the Sandman, who wrestled in the original run of ECW. The New Class: WWE Signs Three New Wrestlers

Restock the shelves. The biggest WWE story of the year has been all of the names who have been released from the company. That is the kind of thing that you do not see take place very often but this year has seen the roster shaken up in a way not seen in years. Several WWE wrestlers are now gone from the company, but this time they have added some new ones. WWE has announced that three new signings have reported to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The new signings are: Feicheng Wang, who was trained by former WWE coach Hartley Jackson and Japanese wrestler Alexander Otsuka. Sean Tan, who wrestled in Singapore under the name Trexxus in the Pro Wrestling Southeast Asia promotion. Jie Yin, a CrossFit athlete and an indoor rowing champion. He placed second in the CrossFIt China Open and has competed in the Asia CrossFit Championships. There is no word on when any of the three will have their first matches or appear on NXT television. Three Fights Added To UFC Fight Night Singapore, Including OSP

A trio of bouts are now set for the UFC Fight Night Singapore card as #8 Ovince St. Preux faces #12 Tyson Pedro, Jake Matthews faces Shinsho Anzai and Matt Schnell faces Naoki Inoue. St. Preux (22-11-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, but is coming off of a loss to Ilir Latifi at UFC On Fox 28. St. Preux has previously challenged for the UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Title, losing to then champion Jon Jones at UFC 197. Pedro (7-1-0) has won three of four fights during his UFC tenure, with those wins coming over Khalil Rountree, Paul Craig and Saparbek Safarov. Pedro has earned seven wins as a professional MMA fighter, with all of those victories coming in the opening round. Matthews (13-3-0) enters the contest in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Bojan Velickovic and Li Jingliang.
