Nice And Quiet: Interesting Backstage Update On MJF’s AEW Status

Of all people to not talk. While the focus in wrestling tends to be what happens between the bells, a wrestler having the ability to speak well might be even more important. Without a wrestler speaking to the fans and making them care, a story is only going to have so much impact. As it turns out, one of the best talkers in wrestling today has not had much to say lately. Back on the June 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman cut an in-ring promo insulting the company and owner Tony Khan. Friedman has not been seen and barely referenced on AEW TV since and it is not clear when he will be returning. According to Fightful Select, Friedman has been silent since the promo, making no contact with any known AEW wrestler or staff member. Khan has not been heard discussing Friedman either. Opinion: This is one of those stories that could go in a few different ways, but it would be nice to see it go in some way. I’m not sure when Friedman is going to be back, but if he isn’t back j..

Major Updates On Vince McMahon Affair Scandal, May Have Used WWE Money

That isn’t good. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been Vince McMahon leaving WWE as he announced his retirement from the company last week. This comes amid an internal investigation into McMahon allegedly paying women to stay silent about relationships with him, with millions of dollars being spent. Now things might be getting even worse as a new detail has emerged. WWE has made a new 8K filing with the SEC, announcing that $14.6 million in payments from Vince McMahon were not recorded as company expenses. According to PWInsider.com, if this means that McMahon used company money to pay the women, which could lead to legal actions against him from shareholders in the company. In addition, WWE is planning to release revised financial statements from 2006- 2022, the years the payments were made, by August 9. Opinion: The more you look at something like this, the more clear it is that this was a lot more than McMahon retiring. It is hard to imagine that he would have been allo..

AEW Star Confirms He Will Not Be Re-Signing With The Company

Catch him down the road. The AEW roster is quite the mixture of young stars, up and coming wrestlers and legends. The grouping has turned into a unique mixture, which has allowed AEW to present a wide variety of matches. AEW keeps bringing in new names though, meaning some wrestlers are going to have to leave. Now we know another one who won’t be back for the time being. During an interview with Instinct Culture, AEW’s Joey Janela announced that he will not be re-signing with the company when his contract expires on May 1. This comes after Janela had said that he would be re-signing in previous interviews. Janela said that while he is satisfied with his time in AEW, the company goes radio silent on wrestlers they are not going to renew. While he wishes AEW would talk to him more, he considers AEW President Tony Khan to be a friend and appreciates his time with the company. Opinion: This doesn’t seem to be the biggest surprise as Janela has not appeared on Dynamite or a pay per view i..

CM Punk Vs. Darby Allin: The Unexpected AEW Dream Match

CM Punk continues to be the center of fan speculation online, thanks to rumors of his possible signing with AEW. The man once known as The Voice of The Voiceless remains silent on the matter however, which is understandable. Punk likes to have fun with fans on social media and in this case, he’s definitely keeping everyone guessing. No one outside of Punk and AEW knows for sure, of course. But AEW Rampage will be live in Punk’s hometown of Chicago on August 20. Darby has already teased it and the fact is that the vibe surrounding the situation suggests that Punk’s arrival is imminent. All signs seem to point to it, just as all signs seem to point to Darby versus Punk. So is this going to happen? Be Elite When All Elite Wrestling formed in 2019, the buzz began almost immediately that CM Punk would eventually come onboard. Maybe it was the DIY style that Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks exhibited in putting the company together. They felt they offered something better than the establish..

My facts will be shared via the correct venue.”

Things don’t appear to be simmering down at all between The Hardys battle with Impact over the ownership of the BROKEN gimmick. We noted earlier today that the U.S. Patent & Trademark office rejected Matt’s application to trademark the name. It’s not looking good for The Hardys.
