What WWE Had Planned For Some Of The Recently Released Wrestlers

What could have been. WWE did it again earlier this week as they released nearly twenty more wrestlers from the company. That is not the kind of thing that you can bounce back from in a hurry and it is not clear where a lot of those wrestlers are going to go. What is clear is that WWE had to change a few plans, and now we know what was going to happen to some of the wrestlers before they were let go. Fightful Select is reporting what was planned for some of the released wrestlers before they were let go by WWE: Katrina Cortez was brought up to Monday Night Raw in 2019 as Sin Cara’s partner in a few losses to Zelina Vega and Andrade. Once the program was over, Cortez was sent back to NXT where there were no plans to do anything else with her. Scarlett was originally scheduled to be called up to the main roster to wrestle, but was “quickly sidelined” for reasons that are not clear. There had been pushed to pair her with Karrion Kross, though it is unknown if WWE was going to do so. Kr..

WWE Legend Currently Out Of Action With Medical Issue

That’s never good. Injuries can take any wrestler out of the ring at any given time. Some of them are much worse than others but what matters the most is that someone is not going to be able to get into the ring for a while. No one is immune to this and unfortunately it seems that another current WWE star is missing in action at the moment due to some kind of issue. According to Fightful Select, SmackDown’s Rey Mysterio is currently sidelined with some sort of medical issue. As a result, Mysterio was unable to wrestle at this weekend’s WWE live event, where he was scheduled to face Roman Reigns. There is no word on when Mysterio will be cleared to return to the ring. Mysterio’s most recent match took place at a live event on September 25. Mysterio is rather good when he’s healthy. Major Update Regarding Alexa Bliss’ Health Status Amidst Retirement Rumors

Over the last month, Alexa Bliss has been sidelined by a concussion. A lot of people have become impatient with the lack of a return date for her. More recently, there have been rumors of Alexa taking a significant time off from in-ring action to become the General Manager of Raw once Baron Corbin’s run in the role finally comes to an end after TLC. Despite the rumors and speculation, a report from RingSideNews shared some activity that Little Miss Bliss has had on social media recently. In the report, Bliss mockingly was surprised to learn of her “retirement” and claims that she’ll be returning to action in the near future. Huge Update on Becky Lynch’s Health Status Heading Into ‘Survivor Series’

Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey was arguably the most anticipated match heading into the Survivor Series PPV. The WWE Universe is excited for Charlotte vs. Ronda, but WWE officials have been saving that match for WrestleMania 35. Depending on the events of Charlotte vs. Rousey, WWE might book a Triple Threat Match for WWE’s grandest stage. In the short term, The Lass Kicker is sidelined with a broken nose and concussion after a stiff punch to the face from Nia Jax. Following the botch, Lynch’s stock is at an all-time high with the WWE Universe. However, it isn’t known when the SmackDown Women’s Champion will be able to return to action and news has been quite scarce on the matter. Related: Backstage News Regarding Becky Lynch’s Potential Babyface Turn According to a recent report from RingSideNews, Becky Lynch is scheduled for another medical evaluation very soon and could even be before Survivor Series. Lynch won’t be given the green light to wrestle, but she may be cleared to get invo..

Update On Main Roster Stars Heading Down To NXT

Welcome home. NXT is viewed as college for a lot of wrestlers. The wrestlers get to spend at least a year down there and learn how to be ready for the main roster, but at the same time their runs down there has to end. They have to go up to the main roster (or get released) at some point and that can lead to mixed results. However, something might have changed now and it’s a good thing. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, more WWE main roster stars are likely to head down to NXT for some appearances at house shows when they have nothing else going on. People like Luke Harper and Tyler Breeze, former NXT stars whose current tag team partners are sidelined due to injuries, have made recent appearances on NXT house shows in singles matches. If nothing else, the crowd reactions will be great. [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I see absolutely nothing wrong with any of this. NXT gets a boost with some bigger names appearing on their shows and these guys get..

Former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy returned to WWE Raw on the April 9 edition, inserting himself into the WWE Intercontinental Title picture. He came to the aid of both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, who were outnumbered by The Miztourage during an in-ring segment. Hardy was sidelined back in September, after sustaining an injury at the July Great Balls of Fire Iron Man tag team match. Since then, his brother Matt has been "woken" and embroiled in a feud with Bray Wyatt. It would appear based on the booking of the last two nights, Jeff and Matt are headed their separate ways on WWE TV. Hardy himself is a four-time Intercontinental champion, and quietly among the most decorated pro wrestlers in history, also winning the WWE, World Heavyweight, Hardcore, European, Light Heavyweight, TNA World Heavyweight championships, and winning tag team titles for WWE, Raw, WCW, Ring of Honor and TNA.
