It means a lot for a lower level star to work with them, but at the same time, there are instances of one of the bigger names slowing things down for a smaller name. Now one of the real parody stars is claiming that the real version did just that. ….What? Former WWE Writer Reveals Bizarre Ideas That Didn’t Make It Very Far

It would be an idea. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestling story and some of them can be issues fans can relate to. At the same time though, there are some stories that are a little bit more outside of reality, as you would not be likely to see them take place in most people’s lives. Now we are hearing about some pitched ideas in WWE that would fit either list. Former WWE writer Brian Gerwitz took to Twitter in response to recent “discussed” Royal Rumble plans. Gerwitz revealed some ideas that were “discussed” during his time with the company. Gerwitz mentioned two stories, neither of which ever made it to television. First up, there was an idea pitched of Vince McMahon having a midlife crisis, resulting in him growing a beard, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and singing Black Eyed Peas songs. I’d call it a feud. Wrestling is built around the idea of having fans put their money down to see people get into a fight with one emerging victorious. That has been the way the industry works for decades and it is still the case to this day. Some feuds are a little more serious than others though and now a slightly less intense one is getting a new stage after a pretty long hiatus. Back in October 2021, WWE backstage correspondent Kayla Braxton dressed up as Sami Zayn for Halloween and impersonated him on Talking Smack. Earlier this week, Braxton asked who she should be for Halloween this year, prompting a response from Zayn, saying he held grudges. WWE Hall Of Famer Rips Sami Zayn For Trusting Roman Reigns

He isn’t a fan. There are a lot of things going on in WWE at the moment but the top story continues to be the Bloodline. Headed by Roman Reigns, the stable has dominated WWE for well over a year now and there is nothing to suggest that it will be stopping. The team has grown in recent weeks, but one legend does not seem pleased with the group’s new honorary member. Earlier this month, Sami Zayn was made an official honorary member of the Bloodline, as Reigns gave him an “Honorary Uce” shirt. During an appearance on the SmackDown Low Down, WWE Hall of Famer gave an in-character interview where he said the Bloodline does not respect Zayn and called him a waste of skin. Lawler also said that when Zayn had no shirt on, he looked “like one of those baby birds that just fell out of the next and has no feathers yet.” Zayn has not responded to Lawler’s comments. That’s always cool. Wrestlers are able to do a lot of things with their celebrity status and it can often be rather positive. Sometimes you see a wrestler get to do something worthwhile that can help other people. This week on AEW Dynamite, Dax Harwood told a story about his eight year old daughter facing heart surgery due to a hole in her heart. Harwood revealed that his daughter fought to get better, which will cause him to “fight like an eight year old” at Death Before Dishonor. Changeup: WWE Star Moves From Monday Night Raw Back To SmackDown

Get her a different shirt. WWE has so many wrestlers on its roster that they have been able to slit them into multiple rosters. In addition to both versions of NXT, the main rosters are Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, which include all kinds of talented wrestlers who occasionally jump from show to show. That is the case again as a Monday Night Raw wrestler has moved to SmackDown (after a recent change). According to PWInsider.com, Lacey Evans has been moved back to SmackDown from Monday Night Raw. This comes after Evans was moved from SmackDown to Monday Night Raw last month after appearing in a series of vignettes on SmackDown. Evans appeared on Monday Night Raw and addressed the fans but never wrestled a match, despite being advertised to wrestle on the May 30 Monday Night Raw. There is no word on why the change was made. AEW Star Reportedly Arrested Over Domestic Violence Charges

That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them are among the most larger than life characters that you will find in any form of entertainment. Watching them on television can be a lot of fun and you do not know what you might get to see from one week to the next. However, these wrestlers have lives once the cameras turn off as well and now one of them is having a serious issue. According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s Jake Atlas has been arrested and reportedly charged with domestic assault. Atlas had called his partner to pick him up at a bar before suggesting that the two go to a third person’s home. This resulted in an argument when Atlas’ partner paid more attention to the third person involved than Atlas. Eventually Atlas was taken back to the apartment he shares with his partner, who attempted to leave. Atlas reportedly attacked him and scratched his partner’s arm and tore his shirt. Atlas is scheduled to be arraigned on misdemeanor battery charges..

I guess he was a fan. While there are a lot of wrestlers going today, only a handful reach the status of being a legend in their own time. Occasionally you will see someone reach that point though and it is a special thing to see. There are a few of those stars around today and one of the bigger ones got to do something this weekend that was more than a bit out of character for him. The main event of this week’s edition of SmackDown saw Drew McIntyre defeat Sami Zayn in a lumberjack match. Randy Orton served as one of the lumberjacks and he was still at ringside following the show when Bianca Belair came to the ring for a dark match. He has enough of it. Like him or not, there are very few success stories in the wrestling world like Vince McMahon. He has taken over the wrestling world and dominated it for the last twenty years or so. As a result, McMahon is one of the wealthiest people in the world and has more money than he could ever reasonably spend. Now though, you can have a chance to have some of his money. WWE Shop is selling a McMahon “No Chance In Vegas” shirt, featuring McMahon playing cards in a casino and the phrase “No Chance In Hell” on the back, with the last word crossed out and Vegas written underneath. The shirt also comes with a collectible $1,000,000,000 bill featuring McMahon’s face and Titan Towers on the back. The combined package sells for $99.99. Opinion: That’s uh, quite expensive as most WWE shirts sell for $20-30 each, meaning you are paying about $70-80 for a collectible. Wrestling Legends Have Different Takes On Kevin Owens’ Steve Austin Impression

The sincerest form of flattery. Wrestlers are almost walking cartoon characters a lot of the time, as they do things that no rational person would ever consider and somehow make it work. That is a style that has worked for the better part of ever in wrestling and it always will. Sometimes you see someone do something very over the top that gets a positive reaction, and that certainly seems to have been the case this week. This week’s Monday Night Raw opened with Kevin Owens coming to the ring to Steve Austin’s theme music, complete with an Austin shirt, Austin’s signature jean shorts and a bald cap. Owens went on to beat up a ringside attendant as Austin did over the years and drank a beer. The segment received some attention online, with Mick Foley praising it and Taz pointing out that Don Callis did something similar at AEW Revolution with Kenny Omega’s music. WATCH: WWE Stars Help Make A Sick Fan’s Night Special

They’re good at that. Wrestlers have a difficult task, as they are asked to make fans believe what they are doing is real while also having a fully cooperative match. This is in addition to building up a character, which is often best done through promos and segments. Sometimes a wrestler makes it work very well, which is the case with some modern stars. However, some of them broke character for a rather nice reason recently. Jarrius Robertson, a WWE fan with a chronic live disease who has undergone two liver transplants, was in attendance at this week’s SmackDown. Various wrestlers acknowledged him throughout the night, including Roman Reigns, Big E. and Jimmy Uso, the latter of whom gave Robertson his shirt. Robertson is a longtime WWE fan and received the Warrior Award at the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This was pretty awesome. AEW Might Be Bringing In Another NXT/MMA Star

She might have a new home. There have been a lot of huge shakeups in the wrestling world and quite a few of them have come from WWE’s massive series of releases. WWE has let go all kinds of wrestlers from its main roster and NXT, many of whom have now gone elsewhere. That can make for some surprising moments, another of which might be happening sooner than later. According to Wrestlinginc.com, AEW is planning to release a Marina Shafir shirt, which has already been announced by Pro Wrestling Tees. While not confirmed, this could suggest that Shafir will be signing with AEW in one way or another. Shafir has wrestled three matches on AEW Dark, starting in December, since her release from WWE on June 25, 2021, along with several other wrestlers. Shafir is a wrestler and also a former mixed martial artist, including being part of the Four Horsewomen with Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. It can be interesting to see what they can do, especially when someone new joins the lineup. While it might not happen often, it can make for a heck of a moment.
