That would be a change. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been the return of Vince McMahon to WWE. McMahon has taken his former role as Chairman of the Board, with the reported goal of selling the company. This has led to the question of whether McMahon will return to the creative side of the company. Now we might know a little more about such a change. Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar accepted MVP’s offer of a match against Omos at WrestleMania 39. The match would be a first time pairing as Lesnar and Omos have never faced each other. According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, the match was McMahon’s idea, who pushed it through and made it happen. Let the bidding begin. According to a report from CNBC, WWE has hired JPMorgan to begin the process of selling the company. This is being reported following the news that Vince McMahon returned to the company yesterday. The report states that if a deal occurs, it would likely occur in the next three to six months. In addition, WWE plans to talk to potential buyers before it makes a decision on TV rights renewal agreements. McMahon had the following to stay in a statement: “My return will allow WWE, as well as any transaction counterparties, to engage in these processes knowing they will have the support of the controlling shareholder.” His return doesn’t affect current leadership as Stephanie, and former CAA agent Nick Khan are co-CEOs. That might not always be for the best of reasons though, as there are instances of wrestlers doing something in the ring that does not go so well. Now a wrestling legend is weighing in on an infamous match and it is not the most positive reaction. During the latest edition of his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff discussed the Summerslam 2005 match between Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels. The match featured Michaels overselling Hogan’s offense with several over exaggerated landings and falls. Bischoff said of the match: “I lost all respect for Shawn Michaels. It was pretty clear. There was an issue between Hulk and Shawn Michaels. There was a lack of respect, I think, there, perhaps some jealousy on Shawn’s part that, ‘Here’s this Hulk Hogan. He’s still here. It can be fascinating to see who goes where and what happens to them, though it can be equally interesting to speculate on what is happening. That seems to be the case again, mainly due to a new piece of merchandise. AEW’s official online store is now selling an art print by former NXT star Sam Shaw (better known as Dexter Lumis). The print is from an original painting of Jon Moxley as done by Shaw and is individually numbers out of two hundred.
