McMahon returned to oversee a sale of the company, which is expected to take place in the next few months. That is going to be the biggest change WWE has ever seen, and now we know a bit more about what that has meant so far. He’s Good: Police Perform Wellness Check On Kevin Nash After Allusions To Suicide
That could have been horrible. There are all kinds of people in the wrestling industry but at the same time they all have to deal with the same kind of things that non-wrestling people do as well. Some of those things can be terrible and incredibly difficult to face, including all kinds of tragedies. That is the case with one wrestling legend and some of his comments scared his fans so much that police got involved. Earlier this week on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash spoke about his son passing away twelve weeks ago. This included Nash talking about how “time flies when you got a gun in your mouth” and how he can do “whatever the f*** I wanna do. Long as I leave a note.” According to TMZ, this caused the Volusia County Sheriff’s office to do a wellness check on Nash. The office said that Nash seemed to be ok. Wrestling Legend Hints At Changes Coming In His In-Ring Career
It happens to everyone. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them have been around for quite a long time. It is interesting to find someone who has had the kind of career that spans several decades as they have seen just about everything that there is to see. At some point though, everyone has to hang up their boots and that might be happening again. AEW’s Dustin Rhodes has posted a tweet discussion his status in wrestling. Rhodes, 53, says his old age has caught up with him and that he is doing some “heavy thinking” about his next step. He also says that time comes for everyone and that he is kind of scared. Rhodes does NOT say that he is retiring or anything similar in specific. Rhodes has only wrestled five times this year, with his most recent match taking place on August 24. It’s A Family Thing: WWE Announces Debut Of New Star Next Week
The more the merrier. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it takes something special to make someone stand out. There are a lot of ways to do that and some of them have been rather successful over the years. One of the most tried and true methods is to introduce someone as a member of a wrestling family, which will be the case again next week. Over the last few weeks, Max Dupri has begun establishing himself on SmackDown. This includes introducing his Maximum Male Models group, formerly known as Mace and Mustafa Ali. The two have also modeled various clothing, including the tennis collection. This week on SmackDown, WWE announced that next week will involve the swimwear collection, featuring Dupri’s sister Maxine. There is no word on who will be portraying the new character. Injury Scare Takes Place At This Week’s NXT Taping (CONTAINS MINOR SPOILER)
That could have been worse. Injury scares are one of the worst things that you can see on a wrestling show as you never know how bad they might be. Someone could get hurt and have their careers ended, but thankfully that is not always the case. Occasionally you can get some good news that night, which seems to have been the situation this week after an NXT star was hurt. According to PWInsider.com, there was an injury scare for Gigi Dolin during this week’s NXT taping. On Wednesday during the taping for the June 14 show, Dolin was injured during her match when Cora Jade hit her with a cannonball senton. Dolin did not get up and the match ended shortly thereafter. However, during the June 21 taping later in the night, Dolin did appear in the arena, though she did not get physical. There is no word on what happened to her or how much time, if any, she might miss from the ring. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE May Be Planning To Turn Roman Reigns
The times they are a turning? There are very few wrestlers in modern history to reach the level of Roman Reigns. As we approach two years of Reigns as Universal Champion, there is nothing to suggest that Reigns is slowing down anytime soon. You do not get that kind of dominance very often and fans seem to be impressed with him. Now WWE is acknowledging some of that new found respect. This week on Monday Night Raw, Reigns and the rest of the Bloodline came to the ring, with the commentary team saying that the group received a mixed reaction from the fans. According to Wrestlingnews.co, if this was a line from Vince McMahon, it could be a sign that Reigns is being set up for a babyface turn in the near future. Vince McMahon’s Backstage Reaction To WrestleMania Appearance And THAT Stunner
It was a unique one. WrestleMania 38 has come and gone and there were a lot of things going on over the span of two nights. Some of the matches were planned but there are a few surprise matches thrown in on the card. This included a match between Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee, which was followed by McMahon being attacked by Steve Austin. This didn’t go as well as planned and now we know a bit more about what McMahon thought of the whole thing. According to Fightful Select, McMahon decided that he would be taking part in the match several months ago, but various people around him said that it would be a terrible idea. Following the match, McMahon was said to have known that the performance did not work but he was happy because the fans were entertained. WRESTLING RUMORS: Roman Reigns Possibly Injured At WrestleMania 38
That’s not good. An injury can take down any wrestler at any time and that can make for some very scary moments. It doesn’t matter if someone is the lowest on the card or the biggest star in the company. No matter who you are, you could get hurt and put on the shelf. It seems that there might be another injury scare in WWE and it involves one of their biggest stars. The main event of night two of WrestleMania 38 saw Roman Reigns defeat Brock Lesnar to unify the Universal and WWE Titles. Late in the match, Reigns could be heard saying “it’s out” after being caught in a Kimura arm hold. Photos from the match show a bulge on Reigns’ arm from around the same time. This should be seen as pure SPECULATION at this point as there is no word on what, if anything, is wrong with Reigns. Like I said. Possible Health Update On Randy Orton After Injury Scare
That’s good to hear. You never know when you might see someone get hurt in wrestling and it is never good when it actually happens. Some of them are a lot more serious than others, but there is very little scarier than waiting around to see just how bad someone is banged up. That waiting game had to be played again this week but it seems that things are not as bad as they seemed. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a tag match between RKBro and the Street Profits, with Montez Ford pinning Randy Orton off a frog splash. Orton seemed to be injured off the splash though, as the referee was seen checking on him after the match. Ford has seemingly referenced the incident in a Twitter post, saying “everyone is healthy”, though it is not clear if he is referring to Orton. New WWE Champion Crowned At Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania Main Event Set
He did it again. With about six weeks to go until WrestleMania 38, it is time to really start hammering the card home. That can be easier said than done, but there is still time to get the show ready. That includes getting the title matches ready, including both of the men’s World Title showdowns. Now it seems that we have another match set for the biggest shows of the year. This weekend, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Title inside the men’s Elimination Chamber at the event of the same name. Lesnar last eliminated Austin Theory to win the title, after reigning champion Bobby Lashley was injured during the match and never officially entered. This sets up Lesnar, the men’s Royal Rumble winner, for a champion vs. champion match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns, though it is not clear if one or both titles will be on the line. WATCH: Popular Star Gets Major Change To His Look
That’s a big change. A wrestler’s look is one of the most important parts of their entire presentation. You can get a lot of people’s attention by having someone look so different that they can’t turn away. That can be a good or a bad thing, but having someone change their look can be rather jarring. That was the case this week, and it wasn’t exactly something positive. This week’s edition of NXT included a poker showdown between Duke Hudson and Cameron Grimes. After Hudson lost the game when Grimes bluffed him, he attacked Grimes and pulled out a pair of scissors. Hudson cut Grimes’ beard and hair, which comes after rumors of Grimes getting a new look from a few weeks ago. There is no word on if Grimes’ look will be changed again. It was a big change.
