Gotcha: Surprise Heel Turn Takes Place At AEW Revolution

To the other side. While there are all kinds of wrestlers on any given roster, one of the most important distinctions between them is whether they fight for good or bad. This has been the reality in wrestling for decades and continues to be to this day. It makes a difference when someone changes from one side to the other and now it has happened again in a rather violent way. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Two Sports: Current WWE Star Hopes To Compete In Boxing Match This weekend at AEW Revolution, Jamie Hayter successfully defended the Women’s Title against Saraya and Ruby Soho. Following the match, Soho attacked Hayter and Britt Baker, aligning herself with Saraya and Toni Storm. This comes after weeks of the two groups feuding, with Soho sitting on the sidelines. Needs A New Spot: AEW Star Dropped From Current Storyline

She’ll need something new. With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster and so little television time, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. One of the most common solutions is to put wrestlers together into groups so they can be on screen at the same time. Occasionally changes still need to be made though and that seems to be the case again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: There He Is: Explanation Behind Eddie Kingston Quitting AEW Revealed The top storyline in the AEW women’s division is a feud between the AEW originals and the division’s newcomers. The originals, comprised of Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, have been fighting against Saraya and Toni Storm, but their usual friend Rebel has been missing. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rebel is no longer being used in the story. Since Baker and Hayter are being presented as babyfaces, there is no need for them to have a third woman. There is no word on what Rebel will be doing next. Rebel fits in well with the ..

It Grows: Two Big Matches Added To AEW Revolution

They needed to do that. We are less than two weeks away from AEW Revolution and that is going to be a big night. AEW only runs four regular pay per view events in any given year so they have to make the most they can out of every show. The company knows how to stack their cards with a bunch of big matches and they moved closer to doing that this week, with more matches being added. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Did It: Jon Moxley Is First To Reach Major AEW Milestone Two more matches were added to the Revolution card during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Switch: Two AEW Stars Turn Heel On Dynamite

They’re on the other team. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the AEW roster and sometimes it can be difficult to keep track of everyone. Occasionally a wrestler needs to do something to mix it up a little bit, some of which involves changing from one side to another. That was the case this week, but in this case it was a pair of wrestlers instead of just one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Well Deserved: The Wrestling World Pays Tribute To Jay Briscoe This week on AEW Dynamite, Toni Storm defeated Willow Nightingale, partially due to a distraction by Saraya. After the match, Storm and Saraya attacked Nightingale, turning heel in the process. Nightingale’s occasional partner Ruby Soho ran in for the save. Saraya: [Triple H] Offered Me An Opportunity To Wrestle

AEW superstar Saraya was recently interviewed by Metro, where she discussed a number of topics. Among them were why she decided to join AEW, working for Triple H vs. Tony Khan and more. Below are some highlights from the interview: On a conversation with Triple H and why Saraya decided to join AEW: ‘He did give me the opportunity to potentially be a GM again, and give me the opportunity to be like, “If you ever potentially want to wrestle again, I’ll give you that opportunity too”. He was very open about any ideas that I had.’ Saraya laughed: ‘When AEW started you’re kinda like, “ooh, what’s going on over there?” It’s like the movie, the bad boy with a leather jacket and a cigarette, kinda cruising in the background like, “Who’s that bad boy?” ‘You’re definitely intrigued by the company! Just seeing how quickly in three years that it’s built – I’m like, this company! You have the bad, tribal fans, but whether you like them or not you can’t fault how amazing it is to become another..

WATCH: AEW’s Thunder Rosa Records First Song

It’s another field. Wrestlers are very talented performers in that they are able to go to a ring or grab a microphone and convince fans to watch something that they are doing. That is more difficult than it seems but it can be very effective when it is done right. It also isn’t the only talent that wrestlers have though, and now one prominent name is getting to showcase another one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery AEW’s Thunder Rosa has released a video on her Instagram showing her recording her first single in a studio. No More: 53 Year Old Wrestling Legend Announces 2023 Is His Last Year In The Ring

End of the line? Wrestlers are a unique breed when it comes to athletics. While they are all athletes in one way or another, many of them top caliber, many of them do not walk away from competition like others are able to do. This is partially due to being able to get back in the ring for one more match, making it hard to finish up. Now one legend is ready to finish things up for good though. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery Dustin Rhodes began wrestling back in 1988 and has wrestled for a variety of promotions all over the world, from WCW to WWE to Impact Wrestling to AEW and various other stops in between. Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery

Now that’s irony. Wrestlers have a tough time with their in-ring careers as they can get rather banged up from one match after another. Those things can lead to a variety of health issues which can shorten the wrestlers’ careers. At the same time though, there are other medical issues that can come up which have nothing to do with what happens in the ring. Those situations can be quite problematic as well, and now an AEW star is dealing with such an issue. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ouch: Current AEW Champion Working Through Painful Injury AEW’s Saraya has revealed that she had to have her wisdom teeth removed, which took place right around the same time as she was about to wrestle Britt Baker, a real life dentist. Saraya also confirmed that Baker did not perform the surgery, but she did send Baker a video when she was coming out of anesthesia, blaming her for the issues. There is no word on how long Saraya will be missing from AEW TV. Her video was also uploaded to Twitter. Landed from..

Farewell? AEW Star Says “Thank You”, “Bye” In Cryptic Post

That’s a tease. The AEW roster has grown quite a bit during the company’s three and a half year history. There have been several names to come and go from the locker room and it can mean a lot for a wrestler to get a spot in the company. While there have been several successes, there have been some who can’t seem to get out of the blocks. Now another one of the latter is teasing something. Saraya Addresses Neck Issues After AEW Full Gear; Wants Match With Sasha Banks

Saraya made her return to the squared circle at AEW Full Gear on Saturday. She defeated Britt Baker in her return match that lasted about 12 and a half minutes. During the post-event media scrum, Saraya addressed the status of her neck after the match with Britt. In a nutshell, she said that her neck “feels great” and that the extensive tests that AEW performed confirmed her neck is 100 percent healthy. That was a surprise even to her, but Saraya also revealed the details of her training schedule as well. Watch the full video below to hear everything Saraya had to say after AEW Full Gear. WrestlingRumors reported that Tony Khan didn’t care if Saraya would be able to wrestle to not in AEW. As they explained above, the process was slow to confirm that she was healthy to wrestle. However, there were other plans in place if Saraya could perform as an in-ring talent. Neither Saraya or Tony Khan specifically addressed how often she will be wrestling. All indications are suggesting that w..

Here’s What Tony Khan Had Planned for Saraya if She Wasn’t Cleared to Wrestle

For the first time in five years, Saraya will finally make her in-ring return to the squared circle. She will wrestle Britt Baker in her return bout, which has been highly featured as one of the top feuds heading into tonight’s AEW Full Gear. It’s very exciting for the AEW fans and for Saraya herself to have the opportunity to perform after a five year absence. There hasn’t been any word on her training or how much she’s been in the ring over the past few months. AEW only just released the news that she was medically cleared to compete at Full Gear this past week. Tony Khan, who participated in the standard conference call before Full Gear, apparently didn’t have any concerns about Saraya being physically capable of performing in the ring when she signed with the company. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confimed the following via Twitter about what plans were in place for Saraya if she couldn’t actually wrestle: Tony Khan tells me that @Saraya was confident she would get cleared and felt..

RUMOR: Tony Khan May Strip Women’s Championship From AEW Star; Thunder Rosa Reacts

When Thunder Rosa relinquished the AEW Women’s Championship back in August, the rumor mill went wild on her “injury status” and a bunch of other fabricated information. The title has been an Interim World Championship until her return on AEW television. Toni Storm claimed the belt and became the AEW Interim Women’s Champion at All Out in September. Everything has been going alright since then, but there’s a little bet of a booking issue. Storm is having a good reign, but it’s been a bit overshadowed by the return of Saraya and Britt Baker stealing the show. Related: MJF Talks WWE With Tony Khan After AEW Dynamite A lot of the issue is that the AEW fanbase doesn’t love the concept of “Interim Champions.” There’s a valid argument that it makes the company’s championships a little less valuable. The long term play always seemed to be Toni Storm vs. Thunder Rosa down the line. However, a new report shared AEW President Tony Khan’s thoughts on the potential decision to strip Thunder Rosa..

She’s Back: Wrestling World Reacts To Saraya’s In-Ring Return

It was a special moment. There are a lot of reasons for a wrestler to have to leave the ring earlier than expected, with injuries or medical issues often being near the top of the list. It can be devastating to see someone have to retire early but every now and then, you see someone get to come back to the ring after retirement. Now we are seeing it again and the wrestling world is reacting. This week on AEW Dynamite, Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, announced that she was cleared to return to the ring and would be facing Britt Baker at Full Gear on November 19. Saraya was forced to retire from the ring in 2018 following a spinal injury, leaving it doubtful that she would ever wrestle again. As a result, several wrestlers and wrestling personalities have thoughts on Saraya’s return to the ring. Triple Shot: Three Big New Matches Added To AEW Full Gear Card

The card gets bigger. AEW does not have quite the same pay per view schedule as WWE. Instead of a major event every month, AEW presents one every three months or so. While there are a few other shows, the company is built around four major events. We are less than two weeks away from the next offering, and now we know a lot more about what is coming on the show. Three more matches were added to AEW Full Gear this week on Dynamite. First up, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal will team up against Darby Allin and Sting, following Jarrett and Lethal attacking Allin the previous week. Second, Saraya will return to the ring for the first time in nearly five years to face Britt Baker. Finally, Jade Cargill will defend her TBS Title against Nyla Rose, who has stolen the title belt. Full Gear takes place on November 19. Opinion: This is the kind of night that Full Gear needed, as the card went from five matches to eight in two hours. That should be quite the boost for the show, which now feels like..

Great News On Saraya’s AEW Future

So she’s in. There have been some great debuts in AEW’s history and some of them have been names that fans have been seeing for years. That can make for some awesome moments, but it also leaves fans wondering what they are going to be seeing in the future. Now we know what the future seems to hold for a recently debuted star and it is a bit of a surprise. Last month at AEW Grand Slam, Saraya, better known as Paige during her time in WWE, made her debut for the company. This led to a question of whether or not she would be able to get physical, as she was forced to retire from the ring in 2018 due to a neck injury. This week on AEW Dynamite, Page got into a fight with Britt Baker before laying out Rebel with a superkick. While not confirmed, this would suggest that Saraya has been medically cleared. Opinion: That is something great to see as you do not want to see anyone forced out of the ring. Saraya is someone who felt like she could be one of the biggest stars in wrestling but had ..
