WWE knows what they have planned for the show but the matches still need to be officially announced. This includes title matches as well, and now we know one of the bigger title matches that is going to be held at some point over the weekend. Occasionally they will put together a story that needs the right person involved in the right spot. WWE is in the middle of such a story and now they might have found the final piece of the puzzle needed to make everything work. Over the last few weeks, the OC has been feuding with the Judgment Day, which has caused what the OC has dubbed the Rhea Ripley problem. The team has not been able to physically deal with Ripley, who has attacked the team multiple times. This has led to the OC looking for someone to help them take care of Ripley. NXT superstar Roxanne Perez made her main roster debut this past week on Smackdown, teaming with Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez to take on Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky of Damage Control. According to reports from both Wrestling News and PWInsider, WWE officials were very impressed with what they saw from Perez and plan on continuing to use her on the main roster again very soon. Perez has had quite the rise in professional wrestling since beginning her training at Booker T’s wrestling school at the age of 16. She debuted for Ring of Honor in April 2021 at the age of 19, winning the inaugural ROH Women’s World Championship and becoming the youngest female champion in company history. She’s banged up. There are all kinds of injuries that can happen to anyone in wrestling at any time. With so many possible options, you never know when someone is going to get hurt or how bad it is going to be. All you can do is wait around and see how severe things are, which will tell you just how long they are going to be out of action. Now we know a bit more about a current WWE star’s injury status. SmackDown star Aliyah has been out of action since September 12 due to an undisclosed injury. Aliyah has since offered an update on her Instagram page, saying that she suffered an elevated rib and an AC sprain in her most recent match. She did not give a time frame on her return to the ring. One of the easiest ways to fix the problem is to have some of the wrestlers sit on the sidelines, which can be the case for a variety of reasons. That has taken place again at the moment and now we know a bit more about what happened. As previously reported, WWE’s Aliyah is currently injured but is expected to be back soon. In her absence, Shotzi has been helping Raquel Rodriguez, Aliyah’s normal partner. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the substitution has been made to either have Shotzi become Rodriguez’s new partner, or to simply turn Shotzi into a babyface. Shotzi and Rodriguez have not teamed together yet and Aliyah could be back as soon as this week.
