While speaking with the New York Post, Roberts revealed that he had been on oxygen for the last year and a half due to lung issues. Green is a former member of the Robert Stone Brand before being called up to the main roster for the first time. That could have been worse. There are all kinds of issues that a wrestler can deal with while they are in the ring, some of which are a lot more serious than others. Those issues do not go away after their careers are over though and sometimes the issues get even worse. AEW’s Jake Roberts has announced that he is no longer requiring oxygen and will be back in AEW again. This comes after Roberts has been missing from AEW television for several months due to reported health issues, including reports that he had been receiving oxygen through a tube. Can’t they all just get along? There have been all kinds of stars throughout the history of WWE, with only a small handful reaching the top of the company. It means a lot to see one of those stars becoming all time legends, meaning they are remembered long after they hang up their boots. At the same time though, not all legends get along and that is the case again, with one having something to say about the other. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to Twitter this week to bash fell Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield for his history of bullying accusations. Flair said that WWE’s anti-bullying campaign must not apply to Layfield, with Flair naming Joey Styles and “Jason” Roberts (presumably Justin Roberts, who accused Layfield of bullying) as former victims. When someone goes away, you might miss them at first but then they have been gone so long that they are forgotten altogether. WWE’s Robert Roode has revealed on Instagram that he underwent a medical procedure in Birmingham, Alabama this week. There is no word on what kind of procedure it was or how severe Roode’s condition was prior to the procedure. Welcome to the team. With WWE being as competitive as it is, there is only so much that can be done to make yourself stand out. At some point, a wrestler has to do something that gives you a reason for WWE to believe in them enough to give them a new role. That seems to be the case again, as an NXT star has been moved up to the main roster as someone completely new. This week on SmackDown, NXT’s Sofia Cromwell made her main roster debut as Maxxine Dupri, the sister of Max Dupri. Maxxine promised that Maximum Male Models would debut their swimwear collection next week, though that had originally been announced for this week. Maxxine had appeared as Cromwell in NXT as part of the Robert Stone Brand for the last few months, though she has yet to wrestle a match on television. Put him down as not a fan. There are certain promos and interviews which resonate with fans for one reason or another. It might be the delivery, it might be the context and it might be what is being said, but sometimes it can be everything coming together. That was the case with a promo last week, but it seems that one wrestling legend was certainly not impressed. Last week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman cut a promo bashing AEW President Tony Khan and the company as a whole. The promo followed Friedman no showing a scheduled meet and greet over Double Or Nothing weekend. During the latest edition of his Snake Pit podcast, Jake Roberts said that the promo “made me sick” and said the bomb that it dropped in the locker room will have repercussions. Welcome back? Wrestling is interesting in a lot of ways, as you will see a wrestler appear in different characters and gimmicks over the years. Every now and then you will see them revert to some of their own characters, which can make for more than a few interesting options. It can be interesting to see how the wrestler goes when things change and now that might be the case again. Over the weekend, Robert Roode returned to the ring for his first match in two months. Roode wrestled as a singles star with no mention or reference of his regular tag team partner Dolph Ziggler. In addition, Roode came to the ring to his Glorious theme song, which he has not been using during his appearances. There is no word on if this will be used on television going forward. It happens with a lot of people, but sometimes you get a break and find out that things are not as bad as they seem. That might be the case again, as a wrestling legend is refuting reports about his health status. Earlier this week, Jim Ross mentioned that AEW’s Jake Roberts was dealing with serious health issues involving his breathing, which was keeping him off of AEW television. However, Roberts has responded to the story on Twitter, saying that it is untrue and he will be around for a long time. Ross has not responded to Roberts’ statement. Please don’t be serious. There are certain wrestlers who become legendary in the sport for one reason or another. You might see a wrestler become a legend because of how they look or talk, but some of them become such stars because of what they can do in the ring. It is special to see someone that talented wrestle a match, but now one of the best ever seems to be having some problems. During the latest edition of his DDT Snake Pit Podcast, Jake Roberts revealed that Ricky Steamboat was going through health issues. Roberts did not go into detail on what was wrong with Steamboat or how serious the issues were, nor has Steamboat commented on the situation. Roberts did mention that he hopes it is not due to the DDT that he gave Steamboat on the concrete floor during a match between the two in 1986. That does not leave a lot of room for movement, but WWE still has enough wrestlers to do a few things. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE wants to have a Monday Night Raw star appear on NXT every week. The idea will be to build up the appearance on Monday Night Raw, with the idea to help build up NXT. Monday Night Raw’s Dolph Ziggler is the reigning NXT Champion and names such as Robert Roode, the Miz and the Mysterios appeared on this week’s show. There is no word on who else might be making appearances. In some cases it is rather easy as the bigger stars will always be busy, but there are several names who might have issues getting a storyline going. That is where the size of WWE can be helpful, as they have another place to send some of those wrestlers, which was on display this week. There were five guest stars from Monday Night Raw this week on NXT. The main event of this week’s show saw NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler, with Robert Roode in his corner, successfully defend his title against Robert Roode.
