VIDEO: Two More Surprise Debuts At AEW All Out

Two for one. There are a lot of talented people on the AEW roster and a lot of that is due to the amount of places they draw their talent from. AEW has put together a very deep talent roster with several wrestlers from around the world and from different backgrounds. That was the case again this weekend, as AEW brought in two new wrestlers whose backgrounds could not be much difference. Two special debuts took place at All Out. First, Japanese legend Minoru Suzuki debuted and confronted Jon Moxley after Moxley defeated Satoshi Kojima. The two then got into a fight, resulting in Suzuki leaving Moxley laying. The two are now set to face each other during this week’s AEW Dynamite. Moxley had been suggesting that he wanted to face Suzuki for several weeks. Late r in the show, Ruby Soho, formerly known as Ruby Riott in WWE, debuted in the Casino Battle Royal, appearing as the match’s Joker. Soho would go on to win the match by last eliminating Thunder Rosa, thereby earning a future Women’..

VIDEO: Former WWE Star Teases Next Move In Wrestling

They have my attention. The biggest wrestling story of the year continues to be the string of WWE releases, as the question becomes where the wrestlers are going to head next. There are several options available, with the highest profile destination still being AEW. Not everyone can get there, but now we might have a hint of where someone else is heading after leaving WWE. Ruby Soho, formerly known as Ruby Riott in WWE, has posted a video of herself with a train ticket from Orlando, Florida, the home of NXT, to New York City. However, Soho misses her train, with the words “The Runaway, to be continued” appearing to end the video. This comes as AEW is on its way to New York City for Grand Slam, as well as Rochester, New York for an episode of Dynamite. There is no guarantee that Soho will be signing with AEW. This is certainly interesting. Check out the video, plus Soho’s time in WWE: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post co..

Former WWE Star Likely Signing With AEW Soon

She’s worth it. AEW has done a lot of good things in its still relatively short existence and that has made for some interesting moments. In addition to the company developing its main division, its women’s division has come a very long way as well. The company always needs some fresh talent to restock the shelves though and now they might have another name coming in. According to Fightful Select, Ruby Soho, formerly known as Ruby Riott in WWE, is expected to be signed to AEW as soon as her no compete clause expires. Her clause expires just before All Out on September 5, meaning she could appear at the show. Soho has not appeared for any kind of event since her release on June 2. There is no word on what she would be doing in AEW. Soho has the talent. Check out her time in WWE: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of signing that makes a lot of sense for AEW as So..

I truly appreciate it!? — Fandango (@WWEFandango) June 25, 2021 This most recent wave of cuts, continues a trend that has been happening for a few months. There Was A Subtle Tribute To A Released WWE Wrestler On SmackDown

Subtle but sweet. WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts this year and that is the kind of thing that is going to shake up the company in a hurry. With so many names leaving, it can leave a lot of people wondering what to think. Most of the time, people are going to be wondering how the released wrestlers are responding, but what about the ones who are still in the company? Now we saw a little tribute from a WWE wrestler to a released name. Liv Morgan paid tribute to the recently released Ruby Riott during her match against Carmella on this week’s edition of SmackDown. Morgan wrestled the match with a band saying “RUE”, a nickname for Riott, on her leg. Riott was one of the wrestlers released on June 2, along with Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Lana and Santana Garrett. Morgan has also sent a tribute to Riott on her Instagram page. ?? pic.twitter.com/mzAjec2dFO — LIV Morgan (@YaOnlyLivvOnce) June 12, 2021 rue:( pic.twitter.com/tz0KQ8v8Pn — alexis ? ..

Here’s How WWE Wrestlers Were Told About The Releases

That’s a different way to go. The biggest wrestling story of the week has been the latest batch of WWE releases. For the second time in less than two months, WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts on the same day. That is going to get some reactions from the wrestling world and its fans, but in this case it might be more of the way the announcement was made. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this week’s batch of releases was announced to the roster via a single text message from new Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. This has never been the method that the company has informed wrestlers of such moves before. Budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases. There is no word on if any more releases will be taking place in the future. Here is the text that was sent, according to PWInsider.com: Due to Budget cuts the following talent were released today. Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, and Aleister Black. – John Laurin..

Released WWE Stars React, Wrestling World Weighs In On Moves

You might want their opinions. One of the biggest stories over the last few weeks has been the amount of wrestlers who have been released from WWE. The company has cut several wrestlers from its roster over the course of the year and that was the case again this week, as even more wrestlers have been released so far. That is the kind of thing that could draw some strong reactions, including from the wrestlers themselves. Earlier today, WWE released six wrestlers from the company. The releases included Aleister Black, Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. All but Riott have since responded to the news via Twitter, with all of them thanking some combination of the fans, company and fellow wrestlers. Im gathering my thoughts as this was a complete left field for me as obviously we just started the dark father character but this was it, thank you so much WWE universe for allowing me to create and give you small bits of myself. — Tommy End (@WWEAleister) Jun..

BREAKING: WWE Releases Six Names, Including Top Raw Star

And there they go. WWE has a lot of wrestlers on their roster and sometimes there has to be some wrestlers let go. That can make for some very interesting headlines and sometimes they can be rather shocking. Over the course of the last few months, WWE has released several wrestlers, and now there are some even bigger names released than before. What Is Next For Mia Yim/Reckoning In WWE

It’s a place to start. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be hard to find something for all of them to do. That is kind of a nice problem to have as it means that WWE has more choices than it knows what to do with at the moment. It seems to be the case now, but WWE has a new plan in mind for one of their stars looking for something to do. According to Fightful Select, Reckoning, also known as Mia Yim, was scheduled to debut on last week’s SmackDown in a match against Carmella. The match did not take place due to reasons that are not clear, though Carmella did appear on the show, defeating Ruby Riott. It is expected that Yim vs. Carmella will take place, though it is not clear which name Yim will wrestle under. Yim has been part of WWE since 2018, following a pair of appearances in the first two Mae Young Classics. She spent just shy of three years in NXT, where she wrestled under the Yim name. In August 2020, she moved up to the main roster as part of the Retri..

New WWE Tag Team Seems To Already Be Done

So much for that. Back in February 2019, WWE brought back the Women’s Tag Team Titles after a nearly thirty year absence. The move changed the way the women’s division worked and that was a very good thing. Suddenly there were several new doors opened up for the wrestlers and while they took some time to get going, the titles have finally started to get somewhere with several new teams. However, one newly formed team seems to already be done. Just before the WWE Draft back in October, the IIconics were split up due to losing a match to the Riott Squad on Monday Night Raw. This was a bit of a surprise as the team had been one of the more successful in WWE but now it was time for them to be pushed on their own. That made it all the more confusing when Peyton Royce was put into a new team with Lacey Evans. Well hang on a second. During this week’s edition of the Bump, the show’s Twitter account sent out a question, asking for a name for the Royce/Evans team. However, Royce responded to ..

WWE Confirms New Title Match For Clash Of Champions

Keep them coming. We are less than two weeks away from Clash Of Champions and that means that the card still has some work to be done. With so many championships available to be defended, WWE needs to set up a few of their title matches over the next few weeks. Some of the title matches are already set but there are plenty more to go. WWE has now checked another off the list. The Women’s Tag Team Titles have gotten a nice boost over the last few months. The titles are still less than two years old and they have a long way to go in the future. One of the best ways to build up the titles is to have teams fighting to hold the belts. It makes them feel more valuable and that is what we are going to be getting at Clash Of Champions. One of the teams even has a team name. WWE.com has announced that the Riott Squad will be challenging Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Tag Team Titles at Clash Of Champions. The Riott Squad won a #1 contenders match by defeating the IIconics on the A..

Backstage News On Why The IIconics Were Split Up

The surprise explanation. There are times where WWE presents an angle or plot point that changes something in a hurry and it doesn’t make the most sense. That can be a good or a bad thing given the circumstances, but unfortunately it tends to be the latter more often than not. There was a rather surprising change this week on Monday Night raw and now we know why. During this week’s Monday Night Raw, the IIconics lost a match to the Riott Squad where the winners received a future Women’s Tag Team Titles. However, the losers were forced to disband forever, meaning the IIconics are no more. They have been together for a long time now and even knew each other from their high school days in Australia. The team is now done, and as random as it seemed, WWE has their own reason. According to PW Insider Elite Audio, the IIconics were split up for the sake of pushing Peyton Royce as a singles wrestler. The plan had always been to push Royce on her own and WWE is deciding to pull the trigger no..

Payback 2020 Live Coverage And Results

Payback 2020 Date: August 30, 2020 Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Tom Phillips, Samoa Joe, Byron Saxton, Michael Cole, Corey Graves We’re back on pay per view less than a week after the last one ended, because that’s a thing that needed to happen. This time around we have the big main event of the Fiend defending the Smackdown World Title against Braun Strowman and a surprisingly heel Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman in his corner. That sounds like it could have some serious legs so let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: IIconics vs. Riott Squad The IIconics promise to expose them as frauds before the match. Riott charges at Royce to start and the chase is on around the ring. That means Riott runs into Shades of Kay and it’s off to a neck crank inside. Kay forearms Riott for two and the trash talk is on in a hurry. Royce knees her in the back a few times and we hit the chinlock. Riott fights up but a Kay distraction lets Royce knock Liv to the floor. Kay tries to convi..

WWE Adds Kickoff Show Match To Payback, Champion Comments

There’s always time for one more. Payback is coming up on us in a hurry and WWE did not exactly have a lot of time to set things up in the first place. That has made the build unlike any other in WWE history and that is going to cause some issues for everyone involved. You can’t do that much in such a short amount of time but that hasn’t stopped WWE, who is trying to make it as normal of a show as possible. One of the biggest stories in WWE over the last few months has been the women’s divisions, which have been dominated by Bayley and Sasha Banks. Until last Sunday, they held all of the Women’s Titles, including the Tag Team Titles. Those belts will be on the line this Sunday, but they are going to need some more challengers after the match is over. We might find those out soon. WWE has announced that the IIconics will face the Riott Squad during the Payback Kickoff Show. The two teams have fought extensively in recent weeks, including both in singles matches and tag matches. Bayley..

It had been previously reported that the WWE would make history one more time at the 2019 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, as the company would crown the inaugural Women’s Tag Team champions on a match of the same name. But who were the victors of this historic match? After a grueling contest, Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Nia Jax and Tamina, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, The IIconics, Naomi and Carmella, and Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to have the honor of being called the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Several More Names Announced For Royal Rumble Match

Another bunch for the pile. Last year, WWE debuted a match that was both long awaited and long overdue: the women’s Royal Rumble match. Just like the men’s version, thirty women joined into the match and competed for a title shot at the upcoming WrestleMania. The first event was won by Asuka and the second edition has been announced. Now we just need to fill in the lineup. This week on Monday Night Raw, a good chunk of the roster for the match was filled as seven names were confirmed to be competing. During a six woman tag, it was announced that Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan were all going to be taking part in the match. On the same show, Natalya was confirmed for the match as well. These seven join Carmella, who will be entering the match in the #30 spot. Several of the women were very excited. Check out what three of them had to say: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: None of these are exactly shocking as at the moment, t..
