LOOK: AEW’s Dax Harwood Drops Huge Tease About Possible Future With WWE

That would be a change. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works, as now WWE has another big budget wrestling promotion to deal with on the national stage. In addition, AEW has allowed wrestlers to have another place to go, which has led to some interesting situations. Now a current AEW star seems to be teasing a jump back to WWE after a rather nasty exit. Back in June 2020, FTR left WWE (where they had been known as the Revival), following a six year run with the company. The team has since moved over to AEW, where they are former Tag Team Champions. Dax Harwood has since announced that the team will be sitting out until their AEW contracts expire at the end of April. This week, Harwood posted a new Instagram story, which shows a piece of paper featuring a WWE logo. There is no word on what was on the paper and nothing about FTR’s possible future with WWE has been confirmed or rumored. Dax posted this on his IG story recently.. Is that a WWE contract in the bott..

Controversial Star Returning To Wrestling After Nearly Two Year Absence

Welcome back? While WWE and AEW get most of the attention, there are a lot of other talented wrestlers performing elsewhere. That can open the door for a lot of fans to see stars that they new knew before, but sometimes these other promotions have stars that you have seen somewhere before. It seems to be the case again, and now a seemingly blackballed star is on her way back. Hurricane Pro Wrestling in Beaumont, Texas has announced that Tessa Blanchard will be appearing at their event on July 16. There is no word on what Blanchard will be doing on the show, though she is featured in the center of the post. Blanchard has not wrestled since September 12, 2020 for Warrior Wrestling. Since then, she has been living in Mexico with her husband Daga, following allegations of racist statements against a wrestler in Japan. She had been announced as part of the revival of Women Of Wrestling but her association fell through after a disagreement with the promotion. HPW – Sat July 16 – @FordPark,..

Back Again: WWE Wants To Bring Back Two AEW Stars

They want them back? AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works and that is not a bad thing. The company has allowed all kinds of wrestlers a chance to get in the ring and on a bigger stage for the first time in a very long while. Some former WWE stars have made their way to AEW but now WWE wants two wrestlers who have worked there before to come back. According to Fightful Select, WWE is interested in bringing FTR back once their AEW contracts expire. FTR’s AEW contracts expire at some point this summer and WWE wants them to return to the company. However, AEW also has a one year option that they can exercise on the two. FTR wrestled in WWE as the Revival from 2014-2020, winning five Tag Team Titles between NXT and the main roster. There is no word on if FTR is interested in returning to WWE. Opinion: I can’t fathom the idea of FTR returning to WWE, as they are able to wrestle all kinds of great matches against top opponents and it makes things that much better for fans. Why ..

VIDEO: John Cena Announces New Weekly Series

The rise of Cena continues. Every now and then, a wrestler will break through into the world of mainstream entertainment and get out of the professional wrestling bubble. Not too many of them are able to do this but you can certainly tell when things click. Some of the bigger names in wrestling history have pulled it off and now one of the top WWE names of all time is expanding his Hollywood footprint. Some people might not like him as much as others but John Cena is one of the biggest stars that WWE has ever had. While he has since left the wrestling world for the most part, you will still see him pop up every now and then. Most of his time is spent in the mainstream entertainment world though and now he is going to be on television a lot more than he has been before. TBS has announced, via Deadline.com, that Cena will be co-hosting and executive produce a revival of the obstacle course series Wipeout. Cena released a video of himself announcing the series and the show’s trailer on ..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – June 10, 2020

Dynamite Date: June 10, 2020 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Chris Jericho We’re still in Jacksonville and this time around we’re going to be seeing the TNT Title on the line again, as Cody defends against Marq Quen. Other than that the countdown is on until Fyter Fest with the big showdown between Jon Moxley and Brian cage for the World Title. That has gone well so far so hopefully it does again. Let’s get to it. Chris Jericho joins commentary. FTR vs. Butcher and the Blade It’s FTR’s (the Revival) debut and Dax Harwood (Scott Dawson) takes Blade into the corner to start. A headlock on the mat has Blade in trouble and Harwood small packages him for two. The headlock takeover puts Blade down again and it’s off to Cash Wheeler (Dash Wilder) to work on the arm. Hardwood’s northern lights suplex gets two and it’s a four way standoff. The fans get behind FTR and we settle down to Wheeler vs. Butcher. Wheeler bangs his sh..

Revival Seemingly Reveal Big Details About Post WWE Careers

That’s the next step. While WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world, they are not the right fit for everyone involved. That is the kind of thing that is just going to happen every now and then and it does not mean the wrestlers are not talented. All it means is that they might be better off elsewhere, and now we know what two of them are going to do next. Earlier this week, it was announced that the Revival had officially been released from their WWE contracts. This comes after over a year of the team trying to get out of their deals due to not being happy with their situation in WWE. Now that they are free, it is time to see what is next for them, which includes something that has to be changed from their time with WWE. According to Wrestlinginc.com, the two members of the team have both filed some trademarks related to the team. The two now own the items No Flips, Just Fists, Say Yeah, Top Guys, Shatter Machine #FTRKO and #FTR. They have also changed t..

WWE’s Parting Gift To The Revival

That’s one way to send them off. There isn’t much of a secret to the fact that the Revival has been unhappy in WWE. Over the last year or so, the team has dropped some not so subtle hints that they want to leave the company and are just waiting out their contracts. Those deals expire in the near future, but they have one more negative thing to deal with before they leave. WWE contracts are set up with what is called a downside guarantee. While wrestlers are paid based on the amount of shows that they work and their merchandise sales, they are guaranteed a certain amount of money. If a wrestler reaches their downside guarantee then they will continue being paid based on how much they work. However, this can cause the problem of wrestlers not being paid if they do not work after reaching their guarantee. I think you know where this is going. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Revival has reached their downside guarantees and since they have not been paid in nearly two ..

We get a discussion and promo for the WWE Title match between Randy Orton and champion Kofi Kingston next. We come back and Kofi is backstage with SmackDown Tag Team Champion Big E. They go on about proving why The New Day is the best tonight, and how Kofi will still be th..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – August 27, 2019

Smackdown Date: August 27, 2019 Location: Raising Cane’s River Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Commentators: Corey Graves, Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton The first round of the King of the Ring wraps up tonight and it’s getting pretty clear that Raw is the favored side. The talent pool just feels deeper over there as this show is going to include Shelton Benjamin getting a first round match. Maybe that would have been interesting fifteen years ago but it doesn’t quite work right now. Let’s get to it. We open with the same video on Roman Reigns’ attacks that we saw last night. Reigns promises a response to Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan in the ring tonight. Here’s Kofi Kingston for a chat, but first we see a video on Randy Orton’s attacks since Summerslam. Kofi has heard Orton calling him stupid but who got knocked out last week? Now Orton is trying to turn this personal and he’s bringing in the Revival to help him out. That means Orton is seeing the look when you mess with Kofi’s family s..

Do It Again. Championship Rematch Set For Clash Of Champions.

You had to get this one on there. In September, WWE will be presenting its annual Clash Of Champions pay per view, which will be featured around all of the titles the company has to offer. That is quite a high number, as the company has gone a little bit title crazy. There will be a lot of titles on the line, but not very many of them have been set. One more has now been taken care of. As announced on WWE.com, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston will defend his title against Randy Orton at Clash Of Champions. The match has been teased for a few weeks now, as Kingston vs. Orton went to a double countout at Summerslam. Since then, the two have continued their feud, with the New Day and the Revival getting involved. Clash Of Champions takes place on September 15. The promos have been the best part. Check out Orton’s thoughts on Kingston: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This isn’t a surprise as the match was all but made over the last few weeks, but it is nice to have the ma..

The Downfall of The Revival in WWE: Harmless Comedy, or Spiteful Booking?

The Revival is currently the most ridiculous tag team in WWE. That’s no easy feat, especially in a company that often features one bit of silliness after another. It’s not that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder set out to become clowns. In fact, that was never their intention and everyone knows it. But then again, everyone also knows that when it comes to doing business in WWE, no one is above the company. So the moment Dash and Dawson asked for their release, became the moment when their careers took an instant downturn. Of course, they weren’t exactly headed to the top before they fell. The truth is that WWE has never really given them much. But why is that? There’s a lot for fans to unpack in this story and it seems to get worse every week. If The Revival had only been underused and that was their plight in WWE, then fans wouldn’t have much to deal with. It would be the same story that everyone’s heard for years. It’s the same story that will probably always be told about one Superstar ..

Rumor: Even More Matches Being Added To WrestleMania Card This Week.

It’s not over! I don’t know how many more ways I can come up with to say how many matches are going to be on the WrestleMania 35 card. There is a very good chance that the show is going to break the record for the most matches at a single WrestleMania with more matches being added to the card even with so little time left to go before the show. As it turns out, we might be seeing even more. According to Postwrestling.com, there is a chance that both the Raw Tag Team Titles and SmackDown Tag Team Titles could also be defended on the show. There is no word on who would be challenging for either set of titles, but there is a chance that one set of titles could have changed hands before the show. According to WWE.com, the Revival is set to defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against Ricochet and Aleister Black on this week’s Monday Night Raw. They’ve tried this before. Check out Black and Ricochet getting a shot at the titles earlier this month: [This post contains video, click to play] Op..

They’re Reviving Something. The Revival Just Brought Something Out Of Mothballs.

One more for the wrestling historian. The Revival won the Raw Tag Team Titles a little over a month ago and haven’t exactly done much with them. The idea that the Revival is going to bring some sweeping change to the division has long since been forgotten as they’re barely ever able to work the style of match that made them such successes in the first place. However, they did do one thing right. On Saturday night in Amherst, Massachusetts, the Revival wore the classic design for the Tag Team Titles in a title defense. These belts were used from 1985-2002 and were replaced around the time that the company switched over from WWF to WWE. There is no indication that the classic designs will be made permanent, though such a move was made when Cody Rhodes reintroduced the classic Intercontinental Title. Not saying we're the best, but til they find something better we're here, no fear, write me a letter, til then… Tonight, there’s money to be made at #WWEAmherst. #FTR pic.twitter..

WWE Has A Lot In Store For Next Week’s Monday Night Raw

It’s a busy one. With the last Monday Night Raw of 2018 in the books, it’s time to move on to the new year. That typically means a big show to kick things off, with a title match, a big return or something else that you don’t usually get. WWE likes to get things going well and the fact that it’s going up against the College Football Playoff title game might help things a bit. So what’s on tap? This week on Monday Night Raw, a host of announcements were made for next week’s show. These include appearances by Brock Lesnar and John Cena, the return of Braun Strowman, and a Tag Team Title match with the Revival challenging Chad Gable and Bobby Roode. Strowman has been out of action with a shoulder injury and Lesnar hasn’t appeared on Monday Night Raw since November. This will be Cena’s first appearance on the show since April. He’s back. Check out Strowman’s impressive 2018: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Oh yeah I’d think they know they need to pick things up. The..

Survivor Series 2018 Live Coverage And Results

Survivor Series 2018 Date: November 18, 2018 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Renee Young, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Tom Phillips We’re finally here after what felt like the longest, most eventful two week build I’ve ever seen. The theme of the night is Raw vs. Smackdown and that likely means a lot of bantering between the commentators about the scoreboard and brand supremacy, which is all that matters around here. Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: Raw Tag Teams vs. Smackdown Tag Team Raw: Bobby Roode/Chad Gable (captains), Revival, B-Team, Lucha House Party, Ascension Smackdown: Usos (captains), New Day Colons, Good Brothers, Sanity New Day handles the Smackdown introductions. Gable and Roode on the other hand promise a glorious victory. If one member of a team is eliminated, their partner is gone as well. Epico and Kalisto start things off with Kalisto tweaking his leg while flipping out of a belly to back suplex. Woods: “SWEEP THE LEG!..

Survivor Series 2018 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

We’re finally here and odds are the lineups for the matches have changed another 194 times since Tuesday. It’s another year focused on Brand Supremacy and things are changing every day for the sake of…I have no idea really. This time there are seven brand vs. brand matches and a lonesome Cruiserweight Title match (the only title match on the whole show), the latter of which you would expect to be on the Kickoff Show so the whole show could be built around one concept. You know, because that’s how you do a show like this. Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: Monday Raw Tag Teams vs. SmackDown Live Tag Teams Raw: Bobby Roode/Chad Gable (captains), Revival, Lucha House Party, B-Team, Ascension SmackDown: Usos (captains), New Day, Sanity, Good Brothers, Colons For some reason this is on the Kickoff Show, with the likely reason of allowing the entrances to not eat up such a ridiculous amount of time. At the moment this is the only Kickoff Show match and I can’t imagine that winding up being th..

It Just Keeps Going. Changes Made To Summerslam Card, Kickoff Show Grows

They almost got there. With Sunday’s Summerslam card all but set, there wasn’t much room to add anything. The show already had eleven matches on the main card alone, which is pushing it even on a four hour pay per view. That being said, WWE has never seemed to mind adding in as much stuff as they can, which is why some changes were made to the Summerslam card this week on Monday Night Raw. As announced on this week’s show, the Kickoff Show will now feature three matches instead of the previously announced one. In addition to the already announced mixed tag between Rusev/Lana vs. Andrade Cien Almas/Zelina Vega, two title matches were added. Now, the show will also feature the new match of the B Team defending the Raw Tag Team Titles against the Revival and the previously announced (for the main card) Cruiserweight Title match between champion Cedric Alexander and Drew Gulak. The new card will be three Kickoff Show matches and ten regular show matches. Here’s a preview of one of the ti..

WWE May Be Planning More Frequent Surprises For NXT

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE may actually be planning on having more frequent surprises for those who attend NXT live events. Recently, former NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival showed up at an NXT live event and were subsequently featured on a string of shows. Tyler Breeze of Breezango also popped in for a Jacksonville live event during the same weekend. If Alvarez is to be believed, WWE will be doing more of these surprises for NXT shows to remind fans of the talent on offer that isn’t being used on WWE main roster TV. Alvarez had the following to say: “As you can see from last weekend, they are slowly starting to have some of the guys who aren’t being used much, Revival. I think you may see some others as well, showing up at NXT live events which should be happening.” Only time will tell if this does happen, but there certainly isn’t a lack of talent to draw upon. As you can imagine, Wrestling Rumors will continue to update you if more news does com..

Rey Mysterio Reveals What The Latin Talent In WWE Are Lacking

According to WrestlingInc, former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio was interviewed by Harry Ruiz of Telemundo, where he explained the problem with Latin talent in WWE. Mysterio believes that the Latin Superstars in WWE are killing it right now, but there is one thing they are lacking. The veteran in Mysterio believes that the company now needs someone like him to “link” the talent together in order for a larger, more dominant push. This prompted Ruiz to ask the luchador if he’d like to see a revival of the Latino World Order, which was a WCW stable from 1998-1999. Members of this stable included Mysterio himself, La Parka, Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, Silver King, El Dandy, Hector Garza, Villano V, Damian, and Ciclope. When asked, Mysterio asked, “Why not?” Mysterio has reportedly been in contract negotiations with WWE for some time now. He has competed in the two Royal Rumble based events this year and is speculated to be involved in the Australian show rumored to take place later this..

Tyler Breeze Returns To NXT For A House Show Match; Says He Will See The Fans Next Week

Bring all of them back. Last night during during an NXT Live event in Oklahoma City The Revival returned to their old stomping grounds of NXT to challenge the current NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Era. The returns did not stop there as "Prince Pretty" Tyler Breeze made a surprise return to NXT as well at a house show in Jacksonville, FL earlier tonight. Meanwhile in #NXTJacksonville, @MmmGorgeous shocked the Florida crowd! pic.twitter.com/QC808rueqq — WWE NXT (@WWENXT) May 19, 2018 Breeze competed against NXT talent Marcel Barthel and emerged victorious in his return to the black-and-yellow brand. In his post-match promo Tyler Breeze stated that although some of the fans' favorites eventually end up going to RAW or SmackDown the majority of them started off in NXT. He closed with saying that he will see the fans next week. Main Event - @MmmGorgeous pinned @Marcel_B_WWE. Nice to see Marcel be allowed to work more than seven minutes. He’s a stud who went toe-to-toe with..
