Goldberg Offers Huge Update On His WWE Status And Future

He’s not next? There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have made quite the impact. Those are the names that you do not see very often and as a result, the biggest stars are often going to be the most remembered. Now one of those stars has revealed that he might not be wrestling again anytime soon due to a contract situation. WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg appeared on this week’s edition of the Bump and revealed that he has no matches left on his current WWE contract. Goldberg however did say that he owed Roman Reigns a receipt for Reigns choking him out in Saudi Arabia. Goldberg’s last match took place at Elimination Chamber in February. There is no word on when or if he will return to the ring. Opinion: While one of the common responses to something like this is a sigh of relief at no more Goldberg, there is certainly a place for Goldberg in WWE. It would be great to have him show up to run over some loudmouthed heel or as a special enforcer or surpr..

Opinion: With One Tweet, Tony Khan Has Foretold The Downfall of AEW

Perhaps the top story in professional wrestling in the last 20 years took place last week as Vince McMahon announced that he was retiring and stepping away from WWE. This means that for the first time in 40 years, there will be new leadership in the most profitable wrestling company in history. Naturally, this decision would lead to several mixed responses from all different members of the wrestling community. Current and former wrestlers, employees, dirt sheet writers, and fans have different memories, thoughts, and feelings about the legacy Mr. McMahon will leave behind. Not to be outdone, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan also chimed in and gave his thoughts on the landscape of professional wrestling. However, in doing so, he may have unintentionally done something that will spark a chain of events I have seen coming for about three years. In my opinion, with one single tweet, Tony Khan has shown the world what really matters to him and, in doing so, has foretold the demise and dow..

WATCH: Former WWE Stars And Wrestling World React To Recent Releases

They have something to say. One of the biggest wrestling stories in recent years has been the amount of wrestlers released from WWE. The company has let all kinds of wrestlers go over the last few years with well over a hundred names leaving in one way or another. Even more names were added to the list today and some of them have already responded to their releases in various ways. WWE released ten names from the company on Friday, with all of the releases coming from NXT. Since then, several of the names have responded online, with no one saying anything negative. Instead, the responses have either praised WWE or talked about how the wrestlers are looking forward to their futures. While not all of the released names have commented, here is what has been said so far, from both the released and the rest of the wrestling world: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] PARKER BOUDREAUX…is back? pic.twitter.com/LwRZ66W0cD — PARKER BOUDREAUX (..

The Wrestling World Pays Tribute To Scott Hall

The kind words. There are certain wrestlers who are going to make a bigger impact than others. This might be due to something that they do in the ring or on the microphone, but there is something about them that makes them stand out. Unfortunately sometimes these things are forgotten about until after they are gone, but now we are seeing someone who was praised in life being praised again after their time has gone. WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall passed away at the age of 63 on Monday, following complications related to hip replacement surgery. Since then, WWE and some of its wrestlers paid tribute to him, and now more of the wrestling world has done so as well. Several wrestlers and wrestling personalities have sent out tweets in Hall’s memory, with many offering tributes to Hall. Here are some of the responses: Sad news… You will be missed Scott Hall ? pic.twitter.com/r4yZLjetub — TENILLE DASHWOOD (@TenilleDashwood) March 15, 2022 My family and I are saddened to hear of the passing ..

Wrestling World Reacts To Big E.’s Injury

They have his back. An injury can be a terrible thing to see and some of them can be among the worst things to happen to a wrestler. In the blink of an eye, someone’s career and oftentimes life can be changed in an awful way, which leaves a lot of questions to be answered. One of the few positives to come out of this can be the outpouring of responses, which is the case again. This week on SmackDown, Big E. fractured two of the vertebrae in his neck when he was suplexed on the floor. He has since released a pair of videos updating fans on his condition, including an announcement that he will not need surgery. The injury took place on live television and several wrestlers and wrestling personalities have responded to the situation via Twitter. Here are some of the reactions. One of the best humans in the world. I’m hoping you’ve been keeping it a secret that you have wolverine-esque healing powers. Thinking of you. Love you E. https://t.co/RYJyQud9GT — The Man (@BeckyLynchWWE) March ..

AEW Wrestlers Respond To Tony Khan’s Controversial Comments

It was going to get people talking. AEW has been a complete game changer in the wrestling world and that has been a good thing. The company is led by President Tony Khan, who has been a force in wrestling since he entered the industry. However, like everyone else, Khan is going to have some controversial moments. That was the case last week and now we are seeing the response. Late last week, former AEW star Big Swole spoke about some of her issues with the company on her Swole Nation podcast. Several over her comments criticized AEW’s lack of diversity in management positions and in prominent roles on television. Khan responded, listing off people of color in the company and saying that he let Swole go because he did not think her wrestling abilities were good enough. Several AEW wrestlers have since responded, with a mixture of positive and negative reactions. Here are some of the responses to Khan’s comments, including Lio Rush, who has since had a conversation with Khan: If nobody..

WATCH: WWE Stars Appear On The Late Show

The star power shines through. Wrestlers have a rather unique celebrity status. It’s true that they are on television every week and get to make all kinds of appearances, but ultimately they are still seen as just wrestlers. Sometimes you get to see them do something in the mainstream though, and that was the case in a big way earlier this week on national TV. A group of WWE Superstars were guests on the Late Show earlier this week, as part of the promotion for this weekend’s Survivor Series event. The wrestlers, including Big E., Becky Lynch, Randy Orton, the Miz, Street Profits, Seth Rollins and Bianca Belair, took part in the Just One Question segment, where various members of the show’s production staff would ask questions, earning some less than expected responses. They’re stars. AEW Star Opens Up About Current Mental Health Issues

Talking about it can help. Wrestlers are an interesting group of people as their job is to play larger than life characters on television but they have to find a way to turn that off once the show is over. That is a lot easier said than done, but somehow they have to find a way to make it work. Sometimes certain things from outside wrestling can cause some issues in front of the camera and that seems to be the case again. AEW star the Blade has posted a statement to Instagram, revealing that he has been dealing with issues of anxiety, depression and confidence. Blade mentions that he has had these issues all of his life but only realized it during the Coronavirus pandemic when they spiked. He has since tried to manage them on his own but recently suffered another spike. As a result he has talked to AEW management and is thankful for all of the responses that he has received from everyone. Blade has not wrestled since the October 11 edition of AEW Dark and it is not clear when he will ..

Jim Ross Names WWE Star As Best In The World, AEW Stars Weigh In

That’s one person’s opinion. Wrestling fans have a lot of things in common and one of the things that they all like to do is debate certain topics. One of these is who is the best wrestler in the world, which can get you some very interesting responses. That is the case again now, with a certain wrestling legend making a bit of a surprising pick for who is the best in the world. During the latest edition of the Grillin JR podcast, AEW broadcaster and senior advisor Jim Ross said that Randy Orton is the best wrestler in the business today. Ross mentioned that while he has not watched as much of Orton’s work as usual, what he has seen has been the best around. He also mentioned that AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, who he described as “really frickin good.” Ross said that there is a lot of great talent in wrestling today and that it is a great time to be a fan. Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho also weighed in, saying that Omega is the best wrestler in the world, as he has been in..

Steve Austin Reacts to Jason Jordan Being Kurt Angle’s Son

Steve Austin made the following remarks on the latest installment of his podcast about the big angle storyline involving Kurt Angle with Jason Jordan being revealed as Angle’s son:

“I like the fact that they are shooting a hell of a big angle. They got a lot of negative responses but hey man, it was a big-time response seemingly from everybody. Big time angle, lot of rub for the kid. He’s a good-looking guy, read about him when I was coming over here to talk to you on the podcast. Outstanding credentials as an amateur, could possibly have a bright future ahead of him and if it is done off the back of this angle, more power to the kid, good luck to him. Is this leading to a betrayal of Kurt’s trust or somebody trying to set him up to oust him from his position? And will it result in Kurt Angle returning to the ring to wrestle at a big-time Pay-Per-View?”

You can listen to the full podcast at this link.

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Dave Meltzer in the Guinness Book of World Records, Asuka Compared to Goldberg, How Much Did Russo Make Writing...

Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane.

Russo points out the Meltzer reported this past week that Alberto Del Rio and Paige had an argument somewhere in Florida. Russo says that this is not news, and it’s just another example of a wrestling ‘journalist’ who is making up a story when there’s no story to be told.

Lane points out that someone tweeted Dave Meltzer this past week, asking him for his opinion on Russo. Meltzer’s response was, “Life’s too short to worry about people desperate for attention”. Russo says that Meltzer’s responses to these fans are so lame. Russo adds that for someone who’s starving for attention, he’s doing a poor job because he just moved into a cabin in the woods.

Lane reads some comments from a recent Reddit thread, where fans discuss the differences between the attitude era and the today’s product.

One fan says that this era’s product is superior to the attitude era because there are better stories, promos, and matches. In addition, the attitude era was a racist, sexist product which was overly aggressive in an attempt to appeal to the ECW fanbase.

Russo says that he can’t even name one storyline that’s occurring on RAW at the moment. RAW was drawing a 6.0-7.0 rating back during the attitude era, and the notion that they were trying to copy ECW which was drawing a 0.8 rating doesn’t make any sense to him.
