Right Here, Right Now: Independent Tag Team Sends WWE Cease And Desist Letters Over Name

They might want to fix that. While WWE and AEW get the most attention throughout the wrestling world, there are all kinds of wrestlers who work throughout the industry but rarely get the same amount of attention. Those wrestlers work incredibly hard to make a name for themselves without the same backing that comes with working for WWE. Now two of them have a problem with something WWE is doing. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: NXT Champion Collapses, Taken Away In Ambulance In an interview with the Hudson Valley Post, independent tag team The Now (Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins) revealed that they have sent two cease and desist letters to WWE over the company’s use of the term “the now” in regards to Austin Theory. Dalishus said that the name has been copyrighted since 2006 and people in WWE know their names. WWE has replied to one of the letters and is looking into the matter. Dalishus also said that their next step is a lawsuit for trademark infringement. The team has been around for ..

Only Him: MJF Wins Award From ESPN And He Is Not Happy About It

That’s not a normal complaint. You can often recognize a star in the wrestling world when you see one and more often than not, it is someone who stands out. A wrestler who acts differently is going to get noticed a lot more easily and that can lead to a lot of success. That is the case with one of AEW’s top stars and now he is being recognized for his abilities. However, he isn’t exactly happy with the recognition. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Delay Continues: AEW Wrestler Receives Bad Medical News ESPN announced its 2022 Wrestling Awards this week, with AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman being named Promo Artist Of The Year. Friedman replied on Twitter, asking if he was getting a “f****** plaque for this bulls***.” ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski instead offered a DVD of “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch” with a picture hanger on the back. As a result, Friedman said “go to h*** Greg.” Read our best of 2022 in the squared circle. The only place that gives me a chance to opine on @LoganPaul and @T..

One More Run? 37 Year Old Former WWE Star Likes Idea Of Facing Roman Reigns At WrestleMania

Maybe it’s him. Roman Reigns has dominated WWE over the last two years, holding the Universal Championship since August 2020. During his reign, Reigns has dominated the WWE roster and there have been very few people who have bee able to give him a run for his money. That leaves some former WWE names interested in trying their luck, and now another is interested in giving it a shot. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Star Power: Former WWE Writer Reveals Discussed Jimmy Fallon WrestleMania Segments Former WWE star Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, posted a tweet asking what he should do in 2023. The RetroMania Wrestling Twitter account replied with an image of Cardona facing Reigns at WrestleMania 39, with Cardona liking the post. Bandido No Shows Prominent Independent Show, Not Answering Calls

Hopefully he’s ok. There are a lot of wrestling shows in the world on any given day and some of them have quite the lineup. You might not see the top WWE or AEW stars on any given card, but some of the talent from other promotions will blow your mind. That seemed to be the case at a card this weekend, but now something seems to have happened to prevent a match from taking place. Game Changer Wrestling has announced that Bandido has no shown their Devil In A New Dress event in San Francisco, California. Bandido did not board his flight and has not responded to any of the company’s messages and according to 411mania.com, Effy will take Bandido’s place against Nick Wayne. Bandido last wrestled at the WrestleCon USA vs. The World event on April 2. It appears as though @bandidowrestler did not get on his flight to San Francisco today for tonight's GCW event. Former WWE World Champion Trashes AEW Dynamite

It’s not for him? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. For the first time in over two decades, another promotion is getting national air time on a large television network. This is the kind of thing that can open up a lot more spots for several other wrestlers and a lot of them have already come to AEW. However, that does not seem likely for one of them. Earlier this week, former WWE Universal Champion Adam Scherr (formerly known as Braun Strowman) replied to a fan tweeting that watching Monday Night Raw would be a punishment. Scherr said that “Dynamite would be far worse punishment”, suggesting that he will not be signing with AEW anytime soon. Scherr held discussions about coming in to AEW back in October 2021 but no deal was ever reached. He has since been appearing with Control Your Narrative. If my kid does that i'll punish him by watching 3 hours of Raw — TheWrestler (@TheWrestler77) April 8, 2022 Hahahah dynamite would be far worse punishment ..

Asuka Calls Out Inaccurate Medical Updates

She would know best. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be kept out of the ring and some of them can be quite serious. Sometimes you are going to see a wrestler get hurt and kept on the shelf for a very long time, which can make for a very long wait as they get back to full health. That is the case for a popular WWE star, but it seems that she might be out longer than expected. In recent weeks, reports have begun to pop up saying that WWE’s Asuka is ready to return to the ring after a several month layoff. However, Asuka has replied to some of the reports on Twitter, saying that she is not yet medically cleared. Asuka has not wrestled since Money in the Bank 2021 and there is no word on when she will be back in the ring or what she will be doing. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is going to happen occasionally and that is not the biggest surprise. Asuka has been out of action for the better part of a year now and it is going to lead to speculation that she is cle..

Karrion Kross Bashes Something WWE Gave Him Before His Release

I guess he wasn’t happy. Sometimes you will see a wrestler make some kind of a change, many of which can be better than others. Occasionally those changes make things better, but other times you see things go downhill as a result. That can be a problem when a wrestler is still finding their footing, and now a recently released star is letting us know what he thought of a last minute change. Earlier this week, WWE releases several wrestlers from the company, including Karrion Kross, who had only been called up to the main roster earlier this year. Soon after his debut, Kross began wearing a helmet to the ring for his matches. A fan asked if he could have the fan now that Kross is gone, to which Kross replied “nobody wants that piece of s***”. There is no word on where Kross is expected to go next. Wonder if Kross would give me the helmet — ?Video editing skeleton? CM Punk Might Literally Cause A Fan To Eat His Shoes (With Salt)

It was a unique bet. There have been some major changes to the wrestling world in recent months and a lot of them have been very interesting. Several names have moved from one promotion to another, with some surprises coming out of nowhere. That was certainly the case last month and now one of the surprises is turning a table on someone who never saw it coming. CM Punk returned wrestling in August and announced that he would be getting back in the ring. On Sunday at AEW All Out, Punk defeat Darby Allin in Punk’s first match since January 2014. According to Wrestlinginc.com, Punk posted a since deleted tweet, featuring a screenshot of a fan saying he would eat his shoes if Punk ever returned. Punk has not responded to the other tweet. Gym Shoes, lightly salted, roasted at 450°. Deal’s a deal, Punk, let’s do this...

WWE Lets Another Name Go From The Company

Sometimes you just need to leave. There have been a lot of departures from WWE over the last year and a half, with most of them not being voluntary. WWE has let all kinds of people go, from wrestles to trainers to coaches and more. The majority of these have been due to budget cuts, but there have been a few who left on their own accord. That does not seem to be the case again this week. Evan T. Mack, co-host of WWE’s weekly series The Bump, has revealed that he is gone from WWE. Mack replied to a fan on Twitter, asking where he was and Mack said that he was gone, “unceremoniously”. There is no word on why Mack was let go or who will be replacing him on the show. This is the latest in a string of employees being let go from WWE and it is not clear if more are on the way. Gone fam… unceremoniously… a shame — Evan T. In His Own Words. CM Punk Has A Good Laugh At Fans Who Think He’s AEW Bound.

Well, he did answer. Ever since the announcement of AEW, the one major name on a lot of fans’ minds has been CM Punk. While Punk has not wrestled since 2014, fans have talked about the possibility of him returning to the ring for AEW as one of their top stars. Punk has responded so some of the fans’ comments on Twitter and that is the case again this time, in a more amusing way. Earlier this week, Punk was asked on Twitter about whether he would appear at All Out on August 31. The event will be held in Punk’s hometown of Chicago and a fan got in on the sarcasm by asking if Punk would disappoint his fans by not showing up. Punk replied with a simple “yes”, followed by responding to some more tweets about returning to the ring and his attitude towards wrestling now that he is retired. Yes. https://t.co/GQxNG2YqlO — CM Puck? (@CMPunk) June 13, 2019 Wrong. Not resentful at all. Appreciative of everything that’s happened on my journey. We are all fleeting things. Enjoy it. — CM Puck? Rumor: Hulk Hogan Making WWE Return for WrestleMania 35

After three years in exile, Hulk Hogan made his first appearance with WWE for Crown Jewel. His brief appearance was just to say hello and acknowledge the rumors that he’s been speaking with WWE officials again. However, he hasn’t been mentioned and there has been no update on the WWE Hall of Famer’s next appearance with the company. With WrestleMania 35 approaching fast, the WWE Universe is wondering if Hulk Hogan will make an appearance on the grandest stage of them all. Hogan won’t do more than a brief promo or interact with someone for fun. The odds of him working a match or even getting physical in the ring are very low, but that’s not stopping some WWE Superstars. Related: Current WWE Star Challenges Hulk Hogan For WrestleMania 35. Road Warrior Animal Slams Becky Lynch, Lynch Responds In A Funny Way

When generations collide. Back in the late 1980s, almost no one was as over as the Road Warriors. Later known as the Legion of Doom, Hawk and Animal were two of the most imposing in and at times downright scary people you would ever see in wrestling. After all, there’s a reason the huge pops are known as Road Warrior pops. However, some things have changed since their day and Animal doesn’t quite seem to agree. On a recent episode of his What A Rush podcast, Animal was talking about the Women’s Revolution and Becky Lynch in particular. The discussion began focusing on Lynch’s The Man moniker and Animal wasn’t exactly a fan. Animal talked about how unrealistic the gimmick was and how wrestling needs to be as realistic as possible. Lynch quickly replied on Twitter and didn’t seem to agree. Here are Animal’s comments (with transcription courtesy of stillrealtous.com), followed by Lynch’s reply: “I would let her back off of ‘The Man’ thing and let her just be a pure white meat babyface t..

‘Raw‘ Superstars Sheamus and Cesaro were interviewed on Edge & Christian’s Podcast of Awesomeness where they spoke about the bar scene they were involved in and finding new people to face as the Raw Tag Team Champions. Christian asked Sheamus and Cesaro if they gave the team their all when they were first told they’d be teaming. Sheamus responded. “I was in from the beginning, the get-go. We both talked about it, like, where we were, and we battered each other in the best of seven [series] to remind people just how good we were and what we could do. And then, the tag team thing came along and we jumped on it. It came out of left field. We had no idea where the whole thing was going.” Sheamus explained what he would have ideally liked to see at ‘WrestleMania 34’ for the Raw Tag Team Championship. “Regarding the tweet I put out [last week] or whatever, like, I got loads of stuff.
