BREAKING: WWE Possibly Vacates NXT Women’s Title, New Champion To Be Crowned

Hang it up. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE umbrella and holding one of them can make all the difference in the world. A title reign can change the way a wrestler’s career goes and losing a title can mark quite the fork in the road. There are different ways to go after the loss, but occasionally someone loses a title without losing a match, which is what has happened again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Pick Your Side: Wrestling Legend Offers Controversial Take On Bloodline vs. Elite The main event of last week’s NXT saw Roxanne Perez defeat Meiko Satomura to retain the NXT Women’s Title. Following the match, Perez collapsed and was taken away from the arena in an ambulance. WWE executive Shawn Michaels has announced that as a result of the incident, there will be a series of qualifying matches tonight, with the winners advancing to a ladder match to crown a new champion at Stand & Deliver on April 1. The title has not been officially vacated. As of Friday Morning Roxanne Perez..

Impact Wrestling Results – February 16, 2023

Impact Wrestling Date: February 16, 2023 Location: Osceola Heritage Park, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt We are some amount of days away from No Surrender and that means it is time for some other qualifying match for the #1 contenders match. Other than that, hopefully we get more build towards Josh Alexander defending the World Title against Rich Swann. Also hopefully, we get less build towards the eventual Tommy Dreamer vs. Bully Ray showdown. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Jerry Jarrett. Opening recap. Chris Bey vs. Kushida Ace Austin/the Motor City Machine Guns are the seconds. Kushida takes him down without much trouble to start with Bey having to bail to the ropes. Bey picks up the speed and sweeps out the leg before hitting a kick to the head. They head outside with Kushida getting sent into the apron, only to kick the arm out on the way back inside. The arm is slammed into the mat and Kushida twists it around for a bonus. Bey heads outside and ..

Impact Wrestling Results – February 9, 2023

Impact Wrestling Date: February 9, 2023 Location: Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, Florida Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt No Surrender is coming up and most of the card has been set up so far. That includes the World Title match, which has not exactly gotten a ton of hype. Maybe it is because it seems we have another challenger on the horizon, but Rich Swann challenging Josh Alexander isn’t exactly feeling huge. Hopefully they can get some more of it covered this week so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Matt Cardona arrives and says he’s in the main event tonight. He is shown to his private dressing room with champagne and shrimp cocktails, but it turns out this is Joe Hendry’s room. Cardona is shown to a closet instead. No Surrender #1 Contenders Qualifying Match: Brian Myers vs. Dirty Dango They run the ropes to start until Dango armdrags him into an armbar. Myers’ sunset flip is blocked and Dango drops a leg before they head outside. A posting cuts Dango off and of..

Monday Night Raw Results – February 6, 2023

Monday Night Raw Date: February 6, 2023 Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than two weeks away from Elimination Chamber and that means it is time to start getting more qualifying matches out of the way. In addition to that though, we have a cage match between Bayley and Becky Lynch which should be a heck of a showdown. That should be enough but Cody Rhodes will be somewhere as well. Let’s get to it. Here are Edge and Beth Phoenix for a chat, but first we see a clip of Edge quitting at Extreme Rules to save Beth from a Conchairto, which happened anyway. Then they returned at Elimination Chamber, where they took out Judgment Day again. In the arena, Edge talks about how he wanted Judgment Day to be about finding new talent. We hear about the members of the team but then everything fell apart. The team attacked Edge so here is their golf clap. Fans: “YOU STILL GOT IT!” Edge: “I never lost it!” Beth wants to get the fight on bu..

WATCH: WWE Stable Turns Heel In Surprise Switch On SmackDown

They switched. Stables are an interesting concept in wrestling as you can have a bunch of wrestlers together in one group to let them get more television time. That can cause a lot to change at once if the entire group does something different. That seems to be the case this week, as a team of wrestlers is now going in a rather different direction for the first time in this place. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Run It Back: Roman Reigns’ Next Title Defense And Opponent Announced This week on SmackDown, Ricochet defeated Top Dolla in a Royal Rumble qualifying match. Following the match, Dolla shook Ricochet’s hand, allowing Dolla’s Hit Row teammate Ashante Thee Adonis to superkick Ricochet. The team, including B Fab, attacked Ricochet, turning heel in the process. Braun Strowman, Ricochet’s occasional tag partner, ran in for the save. This is the first time Hit Row will have been villains since their original run in NXT. It was a busy night. Check out Hit Row, both new and old: [This post c..

NXT Results – December 6, 2022

NXT Date: December 6, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph It’s the go home show for Deadline and I’m not exactly expecting much tonight as a result. The card is mostly set, though we do need to determine the final entrants in each Iron Survivor Challenge. That means a pair of triple threat matches and they at least have some stakes going in. Let’s get to it. Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match: Axiom vs. Von Wagner vs. Andre Chase The rest of Chase U is here with Chase. A running boot rocks Wagner at the bell but he’s fine enough to headlock both of them at once. That’s broken up and a double shoulder puts Wagner on the floor. Axiom loads up a dive but gets rolled up for two by Chase. That’s enough for Wagner to get back up and send them both outside as we take a break. Back with Chase hitting a top rope superplex on Axiom, who lands near Wagner. Either way, Axiom heads to the floor and it’s a slugout between Chase and W..

WWE Made A Match, Upgraded The Match And Didn’t Air The Match

They changed their minds. There are a lot of issues with WWE at the moment and one of them is their inability to present the matches and segments that they advertise. WWE has a bad tendency to change their minds on something they plan to present and it can create issues. That was the case again this week, despite a last minute advertisement of the match. Last week on Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens issued a challenge to either Ezekiel, Elias or their brother Elrod. Ezekiel accepted the challenge on behalf of his family and it was officially announced for this week’s show. On top of that, at 6am on Monday morning, WWE announced that the match would be a Money in the Bank qualifying match. However, the match did not take place and was not mentioned during the show, with no explanation given of why the change took place. There is no word on if the match will be rescheduled. TONIGHT: @FightOwensFight will get his chance to qualify for the Men's #MITB Ladder Match! His opponent could..

Monday Night Raw Results – June 27, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: June 27, 2022 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith It’s a very special night as John Cena is here to celebrate twenty years (to the day) of his WWE debut. That should be enough to carry the night and that might need to be the case. This is also the go home edition of Raw for Money In The Bank, meaning it’s time to build momentum, establish dominance, and maybe even come up with an original tagline for what the participants are doing. Let’s get to it. Earlier today, John Cena returned to quite the hero’s welcome, meeting a bunch of applauding wrestlers and backstage workers. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match: Battle Royal T-Bar, Mustafa Ali, Shanky, Akira Tozawa, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder Mahal, Riddle, Miz, AJ Styles, Ciampa, Reggie, Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Veer Mahaan Tozawa is tossed out fast and Mahaan clotheslines Benjamin out. The Myste..

They’ll Make It Work: Injury To WWE Star Forces Change To SmackDown Plans

Try again later. Injuries are one of the few things that can impact any wrestler at any time and hurt them all in the same way. You never know when someone is going to get hurt and be taken out of the ring and that is never a good thing to see. Such an injury can change how a story or match is going and that seems to be the case again, as a change had to be made this week. This week’s edition of SmackDown featured a Money in the Bank qualifying match between Tamina and Shotzi, with the latter advancing. The original plan for the match called for Aliyah to face Shotzi but the change was made before the show. Pat McAfee explained the change on commentary, announcing that Aliyah was injured, though he did not say how long she would be out of action. Opinion: This isn’t something that makes the most difference, but it is a change that WWE had to make. Aliyah being out of action further thins an already weak women’s division and her being gone long term could cause issues for others. I do..

SmackDown Results – June 24, 2022

Smackdown Date: June 24, 2022 Location: Moody Center, Austin, Texas Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We are eight days away from Money In The Bank and the ladder matches need to be filled in. This includes a women’s qualifying match tonight, but odds are some of the focus is going to be on what Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar. You know, because we need to build towards Summerslam before Money In The Bank. Let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Roman Reigns retaining the World Title over Riddle last week. After the match, Brock Lesnar returned and took Reigns out, setting up their Summerslam rematch. Here is Drew McIntyre to get things going. He’s looking forward to Money In The Bank but he’s looking even more forward to Summerslam, because he is going to cash in on whoever wins between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Cue the Brawling Brutes to interrupt, with Sheamus saying Drew is off his bleeding rocker if he thinks he is going to be the one to cash in at Summerslam. She..

Switch It Up: AEW Forbidden Door Match Changed Due To Injury

Swap him out. We are on the way to Forbidden Door where AEW stars will face off with New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers in a variety of matches. Some of these matches are going to be rather interesting on their own but there are some titles included to spice things up a bit. That is the case with a brand new championship, but now we have a new name trying to win the inaugural title. New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that Tomohiro Ishii has suffered a knee injury and is out of the All Atlantic Title match at Forbidden Door. Clark Connors, who Ishii defeated to earn the spot in the match, will take his place in the match. Therefore, Connors will be facing Malakai Black, Pac and Miro for the inaugural title. The other three all won qualifying matches in recent weeks on Dynamite. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you cannot expect and Connors being in the match is the most logical thing that can be done. The unfortunate part is the fact that Ishii is the latest in the long strin..

Big Time: WWE Planning Major Match For Summerslam

That’s a plan for later. We are rapidly approaching WWE’s Money in the Bank pay per view and the show is going to be rather stacked. That being said, there are other major events later in the year that need to be built up as well. WWE also needs to get ready for Summerslam and now it seems that they have the plans in place for one of the bigger matches on the show. This week on Monday Night Raw, Omos defeated Riddle in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Following the match, Seth Rollins attacked Riddle, including laying him out with a Stomp. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is likely setting up a match between the two at Summerslam. Riddle is currently not scheduled for Money in the Bank and Rollins has already qualified for the men’s ladder match, making Summerslam the first pay per view where the match could take place. Opinion: I don’t think it is any kind of a surprise that Riddle vs. Rollins is coming, but waiting for Summerslam is a bit different. It is rare for W..

Two More: Multiple Names Qualify For Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

There are a few more. With less than two weeks to go before WWE Money in the Bank, WWE still has several slots left to fill for the show. This includes multiple names for the show’s namesake matches but WWE has already gotten some of them covered. They did even more of that this week, as a few more names qualified for the men’s and women’s versions of the matches. Two more names were added to Money in the Bank ladder matches this week on Monday Night Raw, with one man and one woman qualifying. First up, Omos defeated Riddle to become the fourth entrant (along with Seth Rollins, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre) in the men’s match. Later, in the show’s main event, Asuka defeated Becky Lynch to join Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the women’s match. Eight entrants are scheduled per match, with the show taking place on July 2. Opinion: The last few weeks have been full of matches where the fields grow, but then the ladder matches themselves have to actually work. T..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – June 20, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: June 20, 2022 Location: Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, Nebraska Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We are less than two weeks away from Money in the Bank and that means we are probably in for some qualifying matches. Those can make for some interesting showdowns, though I’m not sure I would get my hopes up for that around here. On top of that, Riddle gets to deal with the fallout of losing to Roman Reigns on Smackdown. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Tim White. Here is Bianca Belair for a chat. After getting in her catchphrases, she says that the match with Rhea Ripley isn’t happening….for now. So who gets the title shot at Money in the Bank instead? Tonight we have five women competing, in the form of Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Carmella, Asuka and Becky Lynch, in a fatal five way match to see who gets the shot. All five competitors come out one by one to say they should get the title shot while also taking shots at each other. Belair says she is..

Keep Them Coming: WWE Adds More Names To Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

Keep filling up those spots. We are coming up on WWE’s annual Money In The Bank event, which will be headlined by the show’s namesake matches. These matches are among the biggest that WWE presents all year with some of the more prominent names in the company competing for a guaranteed on-demand shot at the World Title. Now we know some more names who will be getting their shot. This week’s SmackDown saw three more names added to the Money In The Bank ladder match fields. First, both Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were added to the men’s match. This is the result of a decision by WWE management after last week’s qualifying match ended in a double disqualification. Later in the show, Raquel Rodriguez defeated Shayna Baszler to qualify for the women’s match. This means the men’s match now has three entrants (Sheamus, McIntyre, Seth Rollins) and the women’s match has four (Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) out of eight spots per match. Opinion: This is the kind of night ..

And It’s Gone: WWE Quietly Drops Monday Night Raw Storyline

What could have been. There are a lot of storylines taking place on any given edition of Monday Night Raw week to week. Some of them get a lot more attention than others, but the smaller stories are still going to get some kind of time. That being said, not every story is going to be able to go all the way to the end and that seems to be the case again with a dropped WWE story. Over the last few weeks, WWE has presented a storyline involving Doudrop attempting to make Nikki Ash into a more serious wrestler. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, the story is now done, as the two of them were beaten in a Money in the Bank qualifying match this week on Monday Night Raw by Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss. There is no word on if the two will continue to team together going forward. Opinion: I’m not overly surprised that the story is done, as there was no reason for it to continue. It was pretty clear that the story was over, or at least not going to go anywhere of note, so I can go f..

Monday Night Raw Results – June 13, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: June 13, 2022 Location: Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kansas Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith It’s the first Raw without Cody Rhodes in a bit and that doesn’t exactly leave us with a ton of options. The biggest problem would seem to be the lack of a main event star around here, but maybe we can find someone in the Money in the Bank qualifying matches. Let’s get to it. We open with MizTV with special guest Paul Heyman. Miz talks about the Money in the Bank ladder match and puts over how important the briefcase can be, including his two wins. Heyman says that the percentages don’t matter because whoever wins is going to lose to Roman Reigns. We hear about Reigns vs. Riddle on Friday, so here is Riddle to discuss various testicles. Riddle is ready to win the title on Friday but Heyman doesn’t think Riddle is even going to win tonight. As for Friday though, he can win, or he can never have another title shot ever. Heyman brings out the Usos but..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – June 10, 2022

Smackdown Date: June 10, 2022 Location: Raising Cane’s River Center Arena, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s officially Money In The Bank season and that means we need to have some qualifying matches. Maybe they can even play the theme song fourteen times. Other than that, we might get to hear about something related to Roman Reigns wrestling again sometime in the future. But probably not. Let’s get to it. Commentary hypes up tonight’s historic show. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match: Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre In the back, McIntyre throws Butch around and says he’ll see Sheamus out there. They hit each other hard to start with McIntyre getting the better of it off some chops. A Michinoku Driver gives Drew two but Sheamus sends him to the apron for the forearms to the chest. That’s reversed so Drew can hit his own, only to have Butch offer a distraction. Something like White Noise on the apron drops McIntyre and we take a break. Back with Sheamus hi..

Impact Wrestling Results – May 26, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: May 26, 2022 Location: Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, Florida Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan We are well on the way to Slammiversary and that means it is time to build towards the matches that are already set for the show. This includes the World Title match of Josh Alexander defending against Eric Young, which will probably be built up a bit more this week. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of last week’s main event, with the Briscoes retaining the Tag Team Titles over Violent By Design. This set up a post match staredown also involving Josh Alexander. Opening sequence. Ultimate X Qualifying Match: Alex Shelley vs. Trey Miguel We get a respectful handshake to start until Shelley grabs a hammerlock. Miguel spins out of that in a hurry though and we’re at a standoff. A whip into the ropes doesn’t work for Shelley, as Miguel is right there with a few kicks to the arm. Shelley sends him outside though and there’s the baseball slide to stagge..

Impact Wrestling Results – May 19, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: May 19, 2022 Location: Promowest Pavilion, Newport, Kentucky Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt We are on the way to Slammiversary and as of last week, we have a new #1 contender. Eric Young won Gauntlet For The Gold to earn the title shot against World Champion Josh Alexander, but that leaves a lot of the card to be filled in. This week will feature the Briscoes defending the Tag Team Titles against Violent By Design in an Under Siege rematch so let’s get to it. We open with a recap of last week’s Gauntlet For The Gold, with Eric Young beating Chris Sabin to win the title shot. Opening sequence. Ultimate X Qualifying Match: Laredo Kid vs. Mike Bailey The winner moves on to Slammiversary. They trade legsweeps and no counts to start before flipping to their feet. An exchange of armdrags sends Bailey outside but he blocks a dive with a kick of his own. Back in and the fans are behind Bailey as he kicks Kid down for two more. The exchange of kicks goes..
