They liked it. There are certain stars who are able to draw in interest to any wrestling program they are on and it can do quite a bit of good for any promotion. WWE Hall of Famer Returns On Raw

She’s back. The main event of tonight’s episode of Raw featured a steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley that was originally supposed to take place at Raw XXX. While Bayley would have backup with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, it appeared that The Man had some backup too. In the closing moments of the match, Lynch was getting ready to escape the cage, when interference from Kai and Sky prevented The Man from getting out. Just when it looks like Bayley was going to get the win, WWE Hall of Famer Lita made her return to television to even the odds. She would fight off Damage Control, slam the door in Bayley’s face, and allow Lynch to get the win. Lita was last seen on WWE programming at the 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event, where she lost a match to Lynch. Editor’s Opinion: I did not see this one coming, but I’m glad I did! It’s always great when Lita is on television, and she looked fantastic in her role as always. If this leads to a tag match between the two opposing s..

Former WWE Women’s Champion Returns To Television

She’s back. WWE has had a number of returns in the past 48 hours, with names such as Chelsea Green and Rick Boogs returning to the company. However, there was an additional name that also made her presence felt on television. Carmella made her return to WWE programming on tonight’s episode of Raw. It was also announced that she would be in a Fatal-4-way match on next week’s show, along with Candice LaRae, Michin, and Piper Niven. The winner of that match will qualify for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, where the winner will face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. After the announcement, Carmella was interviewed backstage, where she was confronted by Asuka, who had blue liquid running out of her mouth. Editor’s Opinion: F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! I have been a fan of Carmela’s for a long time and it is great to see her back on television. I’ve always thought that she had something to offer the company and with the momentum that the Raw women’s division has..

The international slowdown. There are all kinds of wrestling stars from around the world and several of them appear on national television on a regular basis. Subtraction By Subtraction: Changes Coming To WWE Network/Peacock, Shows Leaving

It’s less wrestling. The WWE Network was an absolute game changer for wrestling fans. For the first time ever, fans were able to see almost every major WWE event in history for a relatively cheap price. It meant there was more content available to fans and more was added at a regular basis. However, that might not be the case anymore, at least for certain wrestling programming. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: You’re Up: Royal Rumble Described As “All Hands On Deck”, What That Means According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, a WWE source says that independent wrestling content will be discontinued on Peacock. A WWE source indicated to Fightful that they'll be discontinuing indie content on the WWE Network. https://t.co/DwMvG4msM2 — Sean..

Switcheroos. WWE Made Multiple Changes To This Week’s Monday Night Raw

What could have been. For thirty years now, WWE has presented Monday Night Raw almost every Monday night as its flagship program. That is one heck of a trick as it is not easy to find a way to produce that much content over and over. The show has to have some adjustments made some time and that was the situation again this week, as multiple changes were made. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: As They Should: WWE Team Praised For Recent Efforts, One Member Stands Out According to Fightful Select, there were multiple changes made to the original plan of this week’s Monday Night Raw. Originally, Akira Tozawa was scheduled to accompany the Street Profits to the ring during the Tag Team Turmoil match. He wanted out. There are all kinds of different WWE programs every week and not all of them involve actual wrestling. The company regularly features a variety of shows recapping recent action or focusing on interviews with wrestlers. Those shows have their own regular hosts, but a former one is now recalling a time when he was desperately trying to get off his own show. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Try Him: AEW Reportedly Planning Push For Popular Star Bryan Danielson appeared on Renee Paquette’s The Sessions podcast and discussed their time hosting Talking Smack in WWE. Danielson revealed that during some of his time on the show, he was actively trying to get fired. International Incident: WWE Star Loses Title At Major International Event

It had to happen eventually. There are all kinds of titles in wrestling and some of the most well known are in WWE. Those are not all of the titles around the world though as other promotions have championships and honors of their own. Nope. Wrestling Legend Confirms His In-Ring Career Is Over

He’s done. Retirement is a tricky subject for wrestlers as it can be hard to hang up their boots for the final time. While more mainstream athletes have to complete one more season, wrestlers are able to go out and have one more match at almost anytime they want. That makes officially retiring harder than it seems, but one legend seems pretty sure he is out. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Still Got It: John Cena Proves His Drawing Power In WWE During a recent appearance on the Culture State podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels was asked if he would be coming out of retirement for one more match. He Did It! Road Dogg Reveals Who Was Behind Unsolved WWE Mystery

There’s the reveal. There are so many stories that take place during any given week of WWE programming that it can be difficult to keep track of all of them. That can be the case for the fans as well as the company itself, as there are times when stories are left hanging with no resolution. Better Than Nothing? Tony Khan Announces Upcoming Weekly Ring Of Honor Series

It’s something. One of the more interesting wrestling stories of the year has been the roller coaster that is Ring Of Honor. After being shut down for several months to start the year, the promotion was purchased by AEW owner Tony Khan and somewhat relaunched on AEW television. In Name Only: Vince McMahon Mentioned On WWE TV Again

He’s still on their minds. This has been one of the most eventful years in the history of wrestling but nothing really comes close to Vince McMahon stepping down as head of WWE. McMahon had been in charge of the company for about forty years and several people have never seen WWE under someone else’s control. Now though, we have heard his name again on WWE programming in a positive light. During the opening match of this week’s NXT, commentator Booker T. mentioned McMahon, referring to him as one of the all time great wrestling minds. The mention came during a list of other promoters, including Paul Bosch. This was one of, if not the, first mentions of McMahon since he officially retired from WWE on July 22 in the midst of an investigation over a string of payments to various women over the years. It was part of a big show. Check out some more of this week’s NXT: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click ..

They’re Here: New Day Makes Surprise NXT Appearance, Jumps Into Title Picture

It would be new for them. With such a deep roster, WWE is able to split their wrestlers into several groups, with the developmental program getting its own collection of stars. Fuego Del Sol Buys His Own Wrestling Ring to Train for Bigger AEW Matches

As people outside of the big promotions like AEW, we often forget that we see these performers for maybe 30 mins of television time per week, which could be much less for underutilized talents. If you compare this to the standard 40 hour work week, we’re seeing so little of what actually goes into becoming a star in the wrestling business. For instance, Fuego Del Sol has been training extensively despite limited appearances on AEW programming over the course of 2022. He took to Twitter on Thursday to share his progress and goals into improving his craft as well as being prepared for any future opportunities. I bought a wrestling ring to take my in ring training to another level. Developed a new gym discipline. Working out 6 days a week and already see a difference in my body! Confidence way up! https://t.co/3rt9qzaiMn — Fuego Del Sol (@FuegoDelSol) November 17, 2022 During an exchange on Twit..
