If someone is injured, there is very little that they can do to get back in the ring without risking a much bigger problem. Such an injury can explain a lot of absences and now we know about another such injury that is preventing an expected return. That is the kind of move that can change the wrestling world forever as the new owners could completely reshape WWE into something very different. Now we know another detail that could change the entire sale process by eliminating some competitors. This is reportedly 37% higher than the market value of $6.5 billion. Vengeance Day 2023 Date: February 4, 2023 Location: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, North Carolina Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. NXT is back on the road for the first time since Stand & Deliver all the way back in the spring. That is something that could do a lot of good for NXT and the card is pretty stacked as well. We have a bunch of title matches here, capped off by Bron Breakker defending the NXT Title against Grayson Waller inside a cage. Let’s get to it. That’s the big one. We are just over two weeks away from Elimination Chamber, which is the final stop on the Road To WrestleMania 39. The show will feature a pair of the event’s namesake matches, which will feature twelve wrestlers between the pair. That should be enough to carry the show, but now we have something else to add to the card which should be even bigger. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: So Close: Former WWE Star Opens Up On Nearly Winning World Title, Moving Forward The show closing angle from the Royal Rumble saw Sami Zayn turn on the Bloodline by hitting Roman Reigns in the back with a chair. Zayn attacked Reigns again the following week on SmackDown and challenged him for a title match at Elimination Chamber. The 2023 Royal Rumble Event Was “Easy” Without Vince McMahon

It’s a new way to go. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the 2023 Royal Rumble event was said to have been the “easiest” that it’s has been in a long time, with regard to putting the show together. This is due to the lack of creative involvement from Vince McMahon. This year’s Royal Rumble was the first under Triple H and the report states that there was a good feeling about the show in the end, including the morale among talent. Furthermore, it was said that from a day-to-day and weekly basis, the atmosphere is much more laid back. One of the only reminders of Vince’s influence remains the “Vince’s office” directional sign that hasn’t been changed since he left but points to a section of the backstage area that is completely different. I’m not sure what all it is going to entail but that is some of the fun of Rampage. This week’s Dynamite was a strong show so they have a lot to live up to this week. This week we’ll be seeing another match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, which should have some Bloodline implications. In addition, Gunther is defending the Intercontinental Title against Braun Strowman. Let’s get to it. Intercontinental Title: Braun Strowman vs. Gunther Strowman is challenging and wearing boots designed by a boy who died in the Waukesha parade shootings. Feeling process to start as Gunther is a bit hesitant to go after him. Strowman manages to send him outside though and the running shoulder sends Gunther into the announcers’ table. The boss has spoken. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Triple H held a talent meeting before tonight’s episode of Smackdown. There, he and other WWE executives addressed a number of reports that have been circulating as of late. Triple H told everyone that Vince McMahon’s return to the company is to see whether or not they sell, and who they should sell to. He said this would not change the creative team or process. Furthermore, Triple H did say that he and Vince McMahon have conversations about creative, but Vince defers the final say to Triple H. WWE Hires JPMorgan To Help With Sale of the Company

Let the bidding begin. According to a report from CNBC, WWE has hired JPMorgan to begin the process of selling the company. This is being reported following the news that Vince McMahon returned to the company yesterday. The report states that if a deal occurs, it would likely occur in the next three to six months. In addition, WWE plans to talk to potential buyers before it makes a decision on TV rights renewal agreements. McMahon had the following to stay in a statement: “My return will allow WWE, as well as any transaction counterparties, to engage in these processes knowing they will have the support of the controlling shareholder.” His return doesn’t affect current leadership as Stephanie, and former CAA agent Nick Khan are co-CEOs. However, it remains unclear what type of role, if any, Vince would want at WWE if he sold the company.
